Picking up is also a breeze - there's plenty of parking, and the order has been ready by the door the last two times I have ordered. The first time I ordered the sushi deluxe, which is under the sushi combo menu, and included 10 pieces of sushi and a California roll. This was a generous portion of food, and made for a delicious dinner! Last time, I went with the sesame chicken, which if ordered as a lunch, or dinner special, comes with an appetizer, I went with the chicken fingers, which were really good! The sesame chicken special was large enough that I didn't finish it - and it made for great leftovers the next day. Also - the crab Rangoon are delicious, and with ordering as an appetizer. I use this place for takeout, it's my go to for Asian food. I've had serval appetizers and all were excellent! I really like the PadThai too they don't over do the fish sauce in it. The entrees are all very well prepared I've ordered noodle, rice and chicken dishes and haven't had a bad one yet. Restaurant is at a shopping plaza with free parking available. We were seated as soon as we arrived and our dinner arrived about 15 minutes later. Iordered mango chicken which was described as white meat chicken stir fried with fresh mango, pepper in a fresh mango sauce with a side order of white rice. I wasn't expecting deep fried battered chicken which was somewhat chewy. The fake flower was an iñunexpected addition to the dish. A complete disappointment that included thin mango slices that still had the skin on. I didn't finish this dish after trying it. Had a craving for Chinese Food while visiting Plymouth, this place showed up with some good reviews. The place was quiet and had very few people but had a large bar and plenty of tables with a newly renovated look. We were promptly seated and given a good amount of time to check out the menu while waters were brought. I selected Paradise Chicken and Chicken Fried Rice. A little surprised that the entree didn't come with white rice but not a big deal. The chicken dish was delicious. Savory sauce with some fresh vegetables and well cooked chicken, not dry. The fried rice was definitely the star of the show. Not dark or oily but well seasoned and good flavor! Especially enjoyed the nice crunch from the bean sprouts. Overall a very pleasant experience and would certainly go back, although will request the dish a bit spicier or add some hot oil. read more

I'm going to write this review in reverse order; because sometimes the last interaction makes up for the mess that came before. Our meal ended with a free dessert. My daughter had ordered from the 'Chinese' menu and I had ordered from the 'Japanese' menu. Her meal came out in a lightning flash of 10 minutes. Our server came out and said that the sushi chef was behind 15-20 minutes in orders and suggested that I order from the Chinese menu instead. I did, and my food came out in 8 minutes exactly. The food was great... but I really wanted sushi. Meanwhile, we noticed that some pretty large sushi boat orders were coming out... so I don't know my small order of 10 'chef choice' pieces couldn't come out. We have been waiting YEARS for a decent Chinese restaurant in Plymouth! Some things were much better than others. The Peking Ravioli (fried dumplings) were fantastic. The lo mein had a bit of an "off" taste, but the more I ate, the more it grew on me. My mom did not like it. The Sesame Chicken could have been a bit crispier, and I wish the menu had said that the Chicken & Broccoli was a white sauce. The pork fried rice was the best I've had at a restaurant. Usually it is super dry and tastes weird. This one was not dry at all and very yummy. The ambiance & decor are both lovely (basically leftover from the previous restaurant, I was told). Room for improvement on a few dishes, but overall good. We will come back! read more

Tonight was my 3rd time here. We made reservations, we were seated right away. We noticed everyone around us was being served and we didn't even have water.We sat for 20 minutes before one of girls in our group got up to ask for service. 10 minutes later a woman came to ask us if we wanted something to drink but she didn't have a pen so she had to go get one. The boneless ribs was nothing but small pieces mostly fat and tasteless, the egg rolls and crab Rangoon were just okay nothing good nothing terrible, the wonton soup was tasteless, we ordered chicken with mixed vegetables again tasteless like out of a microwave tasteless!!! The beef fried rice was probably the best thing we got and that wasn't even good. The search goes on for good Chinese in the Plymouth area. Started out with a couple appetizers which included crab Rangoon, fried dumplings and egg rolls. Rangoon was lightly bread not too sweet of a filing, fried dumplings were good but the egg rolls were a disappointment. They had no taste and oily. Well after a couple of miscues we were next to gardenia and decided to try take out. Ordered Ribs on bone, large wonton soup and mooshi vegetable. Have to say best we have had there. Soup was clean with lots of cabbage and veggies and dumplings were excellent. Ribs were great very meaty little if no fat and mooshi was very good orders spicy and it was. Only with mooshi I think they used a little too much sugar or it seemed so. Waiting for food I saw lots coming out and it looked much better. So will give it a go again soon. read more

We've enjoyed dinner twice and had takeout food once since Gardenia Palace opened. Food has been very good. Drinks were also very good. Both visits for in-house dining had us commenting that there were several tables that needed clearing. It could be timing of when customers left the restaurant but it struck us that the cleaning of the left over dishes and glassware seemed to take longer than it should have. A minor comment on the sweet 'n sour sauce... First visit had a small number of pineapple and green pepper while the second just had a red sweet 'n sour sauce...just the sauce. It was good but we're used to seeing pineapple and cherries. Food was fresh and tasty. Butterfly shrimp was a particular favorite. Vegetable fried rice was excellent. One other comment would be to consider changing the lighting inside. The lights could be dimmed a bit in the evening as the lights seem bright. I particularly like the selection of combination meals for lunch and dinner. Nice selection and a nice option when there are one or two people who would like a variety of items and avoid having to carry a bunch of leftovers home. We'll continue to dine here...hope you try Gardenia Palace and enjoy as well. read more

Mediocre. Was hoping (finally) for some really good Chinese food in Plymouth. Spring rolls were undercooked and greasy. Seems like the fryer may not have been hot enough? The tofu in the "Family-Style Tofu" was leathery and chewy and did not taste fresh cooked at all. It seemed a lot like the pre-fried packaged tofu you can buy in Asian markets, mixed in with vegetables and overcooked. Whatever it was, the tofu did not taste fresh to us and we didn't finish it. "Chicken with Mixed Vegetables" is essentially Moo Goo Gai Pan, which was actually good as long as you are in the mood for it. The Hot and Sour Soup was very good, and the House Special Fried Rice was decent. For now, we will drive the extra few minutes for Quan's and maybe circle back and give these guys another try some time. Not horrendous but nothing to write home about either. read more
