We went with a group of 3 for dinner on a Saturday night (5:30pm) it was about a 45 min wait, make reservations. The house chicken wings a must-order. Main Course: Hiuse ramen with chicken. Bowl was plentiful with broth and ingredients. The sizzling pork belly, and crispy chicken is outstanding. A bit awkward of a seating arrangement between the dining and the bar, the tables against the wall are not super comfortable and table legs make it tough to get into the booth, but everyone has access to two screens at the bar. Really like the new spot. Design is great would have given a five other than seating is not very comfortable as chairs are low and booth very tight and very hard as sitting on wood slats. I use to stop in occasionally at the old location up the street. The food service and drinks were very good. However the new location seems to have elevated the menu and definitely the interior. I really like the setup and the menu. The bar is very good too. They didn't have what I was looking for on the drink menu so I ordered off the menu and the bartender was on point with my Manhattan so I decided to have two. We started with some sashimi, yellow tail and smoked salmon. Both were very fresh and tasty. For main dishes My wife had the chicken katsu and I had the chicken with plum sauce they were served in bowls over rice. Both were excellent. I'm so glad that we finally have a little food scene happening on Main Street in Plymouth. Kogi is a nice upgraded addition. Keep it up kogi. Was just visiting Plymouth for a day and a friend recommended this place to me. I'm a sucker for good Korean food, and this place did not disappoint. No banchan though. I had the dolsot bibimbap, which I've actually never had before. I usually just get regular bibimbap at a restaurant. But the dolsot version was really good. It comes in a steaming hot pot and you have to keep kind of stirring the food around, especially at the bottom, so the rice doesn't stick. But it makes the rice very crispy, and everything nice and hot, which was really comforting on a rainy day. My husband got one of the ramens but he wasn't as much a fan of his dish. It looked like they used the cheap ramen noodles that are all squiggly. So he said it didn't taste as good as he was hoping. Service was pretty good though. There weren't that many tables occupied when we went, maybe 5 tops including us. Our waitress was friendly and relatively accessible. The restaurant felt a bit drab though. I'm not sure what it was but it needs more color in there or something. Overall, a pretty good experience, though. read more

The asparagus tempura was a good concept but poorly executed; they did not remove the woody parts so we couldn't chew the ends. The dinner style bulgogi was dry. The bathroom was not well maintained. The paper dispenser was hanging precariously. The "wash your hands before returning to work" was partially torn. The worst offense was that both soap dispensers were almost dry. We ordered take out. Chicken Katsu, Karaag, bibimbap and a salad. I had their food in the old location a handful of times prior to this, it was somewhat small portioned and expensive but their fried food was tasty. I had friends over and suggested we go there...the chicken katsu was extremely overcooked and dry, my fried chicken portion was extremely small for the price I paid. We tossed out the katsu and put peanut salad dressing on the bibimbap to make it edible. I was really embarrassed, my guests left hungry and a bit annoyed that I had suggested Kogi. A friend recommended checking out Kogi Bar & Grill when we were discussing Plymouth dining options. Kogi was a vibrant restaurant with a very casual crowd and cozy decor. I would not say this is an elegant date place (not that they are trying to be), but it is a place to come for good flavorful food. We were seated right away on a Saturday Night and there were plenty of people working and they all worked well together. Our server was very attentive and there was great teamwork bringing out our food and clearing our various plates as we downed our shared orders. We started with Kogi Fries and they were fantastic. They are Steak Fries loaded with Queso cheese, bulgogi beef, scallions, onions, Gochujang Hot Sauce and topped with a fried egg. The fries were nice and crispy and the flavors just sung on our pallets. Not healthy, but highly recommended. Next the Umma's Rangoons came out (I ate one before I took the pic!). These were ok. Crispy Wonton with Crab Meat, Cream Cheese, & Curry. We love Rangoons, but these were nothing special as the wrapper was a little thick and hard, but the flavors on the inside were good. The Heart Attack Roll was DELICIOUS! Cream Cheese, Jalapeños, Shrimp Tempura, Crab, Avocado Tempura, Topped with Spicy May, Eel Sauce & Sriracha. The flavors were incredible and the whole thing was warm with a slight crisp. My wife is not a huge Sushi fan, but this was her favorite thing we ordered. The Chicken Katsu Ramen was ordered with a medium spice. I love a bowl with broth, noodles, veggies & protein and this didn't disappoint. We finished the whole bowl and we were picking up the scraps. Medium was the perfect spice level for us. I will be back as I need to try the Bibimbap! Ordered a negitoro maki that had great flavor, wish it was a bit bigger but we savored every last bite and it was delicious. Bibimbap - huge bowl of traditional style bibimbap, was really superb and fresh-tasting, with a good amount of sauce and flavor. Galbi beef ribs - tremendous. We always get this dish whenever we get Korean food and so we have it a lot, and here it was done very well with the perfect texture and thick BBQ beef flavor. I came here last night with my husband for a date night after wandering downtown waiting for something to catch our eye. We love Asian fusion so we were very excited to try it. We ordered to split - the pork katsu plate, takoyaki, spicy tuna crispy rice balls and the sashimi sample. The katsu came out incredibly quickly, so we were eating almost immediately. Loved the crunchiness and the katsu sauce was so yummy. The takoyaki was really good, the spicy tuna crispy rice could've used a little more sauce/flavor but the standout was the sashimi. 2 of us arrived on a Thursday evening around 5:30. There were a couple of bar stools and tables open. We sat at the bar. Service: Excellent. Wendy was attentive, even when it was busy. She is friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. Bar: Good selection, average pours. Hess wine is 8.50 a glass. Sapporo is 7.50. Food: Very good. The seaweed salad is a generous portion and the entire bowl was seaweed. I've been to other places where underneath the seaweed is shredded cuke, but here it's the real deal all the way through. The Miso soup is good. It is served in a large bowl, which is a generous portion. My only recommendation here is to serve it with a spoon with a longer handle. The spoon we received had a short handle (typical type with miso soup), however the bowl is unusually deep so it was tricky to eat. The Salmon Nigiri was fresh. The Sizzling Galbi was ok. I liked the flavor but the cut is little tougher than my preference. Atmosphere: I liked the bar, the height was comfortable to eat at. There were chairs and supplies stacked in a corner and the ambiance could use a little more charm. It is clean and not loud. When the check arrived, it had a barcode to pay directly. I like this option that offers less touch points. We had technical difficulties trying to use it, but not sure if it was the connection or other issue. read more

This Asian fusion restaurant tips the scales heavy in favor of classic Korean dishes like Bulgogi, Galbi , Bibimbap, japchae, Kimbap etc but they also have a full Japanese sushi menu as well as some interesting hybrids like the Korean burrito ! My wife is obsessed with their ramen, which I agree is delicious on a cold winter evening. I have also ordered Soondabu here but I am not positive it is still on the menu. If you like sake but want to try something a bit different make sure to give Korean Soju a try. The staff and servers have always been very nice and attentive. Kogi has a bar and a good sized dining room. It gets crowded on a weekend night so get there early if you don't want to wait too long. read more

One of our favorite places in Plymouth. Service is always so friendly. We love both the sushi as well as the Korean dishes. The spicy pork belly was incredible, as was the bulgogi. We also had the kimbibap which was so good! My boyfriend has a gluten intolerance, and the waitress was so concerned and knowledgeable about making sure that nothing he ordered contained any hidden gluten. She checked with the kitchen and was able to give him great guidance. Her thoroughness was so appreciated! Decided to give this place a try based on star ratings from other Yelpers and it didn't disappoint. We went here for lunch. The place is cozy and cute. There is a nice bar and there are some beautiful paintings and photographs from local artists hung on the wall for sale. We were seated right away and the QR code on the table presented the menu on our phones. The server was attentive and friendly and got us our waters. We ordered crab Rangoon to start us off and dolsat bimbimbap and steak bulgogi. Crab Rangoon was unusual from what we had before but good. Dolsat bimbimbap was amazingly good. It was piping hot when it arrived. The sauce on the side was dynamite, I used up all of it in my bibimbap. The slight crust of the rice at the bottom was delightful. A very satisfying meal filled with veggies. The steak bulgogi was served piping hot along with plenty of rice and the same sauce and it tasted great. Maybe I was there on an off night. I lived in Korea for a while and Korean food is my favorite. The food on the menu was listed as "bulgogi" and kimchi. They were not. Also it says it's Korean bbq nothing on the menu was anything you could bbq. Also no banchan, when I found out they didn't have banchan I should've left. Anyway maybe their sushi is good? The pork belly unfortunately had no flavor at all and was not spicy at all, I had to order hot sauce to give out some flavor. My husband ordered the chicken skewers which were so flavorful and spicy that I ended up using the extra sauce on my pork belly which made it enjoyable. The first time we went we got the sizzling bulgogi & short ribs and the taste was decent, but the meat itself was pretty burnt. Really bummed out we used to love the place . Got 2 orders of ramen to go. Paid a for the extra veg and extra chicken katsu. When we got home the lid to broth was cracked and it had leaked all in bag. They brought me a replacement broth but it didn't have the veg in it. Also the chicken katsu all of it for both were well done barely could chew. And to top it all off I ordered spicy and it had no heat at all. I hate to complain but for $50 it needs to be better will totally rethink going again. read more
