Fried tempura poke bowl - there is a lot going on with this plate or bowl, but from the edamame and fresh mangoes to the perfectly fried shrimp it is definitely one of my favorite dishes here. As I was waiting for my food, it seemed it was a highly requested item with the locals also. My only gripe is that I wish that the bowl was bigger so that it would be easier to eat. Spring rolls - not a big fan, but they were not bad. You can tell that they were frozen and then fried. Very mushy insides not the freshest that I've had but definitely not a highlight of the meal. As always, these are my opinions and should be vetted by your own opinion of the place. The place has very limited seating so definitely don't come with a large party due to only two tables. No instore bathroom to use so keep that in mind. If I had to rate this place, I would've rate it an 8 due to the menu items and the sushi is amazing. It is a very limited spacing place so it is understandable that they don't have a lot of amenities that a bigger place would have but they do make the best of the situation with their personalities and their food.

Solid Asian food, including some unusual and very welcome options in a somewhat touristy area. Had…read morethe "crispy rolls" to start, very well done and not too greasy Thai style spring rolls served with a sweet and sour sauce. 5 out of 5. I had the Khao Soi, a northern Thai curry noodle soup , served with thin strips of white meat chicken. Excellent. Plentiful amount of chicken, good ratio of broth to noodles, just the right serving portion. My wife had the drunken noodles, which she enjoyed but I think the noodles were a tiny bit overdone and it lacked a bit of heat that is usually in drunken noodles, but that's a small complaint. I'm soldering if they might have extra chilis , prik nam pla or some other hot sauce to add if we had requested it? We sat on the outside deck, very pleasant and service was attentive and prompt. BYOB if you want an alcoholic addition to the water and other non-alcoholic beverage options available. This is not a biased review , I'm a tough grader and call it like I see it. It's not the best pan-Asian food I've ever had but it's a solid 4 out of 5 overall and for the price, in downtown Newport, this is a very good option.

The chicken satay was excellent. Very juicy and flavorful. If the same chicken was in my ramen, I probably would give this place a five star review. The curry ramen was filled with a spicy flavorful broth and a healthy serving of accoutrements but the chicken was very dry. Given that was my only complaint and the woman who served me was extremely gracious, mountain moose earns my recommendation. Note, if you're looking for massamam curry, just go to a Thai restaurant.

The restaurant opened this week inside the Kingston Collection. I ordered a regular size beef fried rice and it was plenty of food. I don't think I could ever eat the large. The chef cooked the meal right in front of me. Rice was cooked well, not burnt, not too sticky, and topped with a fried egg. The pieces of steak were not too big, not too small: just right. The veggies include water chestnut, zucchini, green beans, carrots, peppers, onions, and broccoli. The flavor is just right, not overpowering. I was happy to see I could season the fried rice my way, hot sauce, yum-yum sauce, soy sauce, duck sauce. Anything I needed to enjoy this simple delight. And of course a fortune cookie. While the mall has been in decline, this place is great and has staying power. Grab a quick bite to eat before you enjoy a movie at Regal or get some take out. Oh and the price... only $13. Money well spent. If they Add shrimp to the menu and I'll give this Eli's Grill House 5 stars.

At first smell I was hopeful but after the first bite I couldn't get the sour taste out of my mouth. The four small pieces of "beef" were mostly fat and gristle. The broccoli pieces were just the stump bits and the mushrooms helped add a musk to the sour that had created a glaze over my tongue. It was disgusting and the dude running the counter was high as shit. . No thanks
