I got an onsite quote, and also stopped by their office and the staff was very helpful. The sales process was pretty standard and the contacts were friendly. The contracts are sent view email or text. The installation process is why I'm leaving a 3 star review. While the crew was friendly and the area looks nicely done and professionally installed, the crew left a mess of a worksite. Most notably there were multiple long (6"ish) nails left around the play area after the team left for the day. The compactor they used left an oil spot on my concrete and they left a random piece of scrap turf without checking if we wanted the extra material. It was long and large and just another thing I have to deal with in my trash. As the day was wrapping up, I watched a member of the crew make my yard significantly messier with the most half-a** attempt at clean up blowing I've personally witness. It was done with an impressive lack of care that said "don't even bother me, I don't care either way." So I didn't. But I was wondering why they would be blowing the remnants of artificial turf, tiny little bits of chewed up plastic - all over my natural grass, patio and garden. I had to clean up after them, and luckily that's when I found the long nails before a child found them. (They weren't hidden at all, again, a shocking lack of attention to detail when it came to cleaning up the job site.) We're now a couple month in but the turf is functioning as expected.

At the time, they…read moretold me I should turn off the irrigation on that side of the yard, but they never clearly explained why. A few years later, I started noticing sunken areas in the turf that have now become a safety hazard because of how deep the holes are. Based on what has happened, it appears that irrigation pipes may have been punctured during the turf installation. Every time the irrigation was turned on, water seemed to wash out part of the base underneath the turf, creating large holes and unstable areas. They came out once and repaired the issue, but a few months later the holes came back. Unfortunately, no one clearly explained why this was happening or offered a permanent solution. I have tried multiple times to get them to come back and address the problem, especially since I believe this should fall under the warranty. I reached out by phone, email, and text, and they have not responded. I even offered to pay them to fix it, but still received no response. Very disappointing experience. The original installation has led to ongoing issues, and the lack of communication and follow-up has been extremely frustrating.

Green magic came highly recommended and while quite expensive I felt that it will be worth it in the long run. Everything seemed fine at first, but I did not go through everything as I do have quite a large number of plants. I had made a request that I did not feel comfortable with a single emitters at the center of a plant as my experience has been that the water just goes straight down and out. Apparently that went unheard and has been the case with most every plant except where I had already used an alternate option. I was on vacation during the heat wave and when I came back, I found most of my plants either dead or dying. As I started to examine, the emitter applications I found them inadequate or not even in some cases near the plant itself. I am very disappointed and once again I will have to go through everything myself.

Called the office and Adam came out a couple of days later to inspect our lawn and give us a quote. After talking to a few other local vendors, we decided to go with FENIX and we are really pleased we did. Adam, Kimberley and Erica communicated really well and answered any question we had about the entire process. They provided us with a few turf samples as well as an extensive list of referral addresses we could use to inspect their craftsmanship and the quality of the installed turf product. When the day to start the project arrived, Dylan and the large crew arrived right on time as arranged and immediately got to work. They were very professional and skilled. They were able to complete the entire project in one day and cleaned up the "worksite" nicely. We are extremely happy with the entire process from start to finish and would use them again if needed and would highly recommend them if you were considering installing artificial turf for your landscaping project. A neighbor had recommended Fenix. About a year ago a representative came to our house to give an estimate. He brought samples and measured the area and was quite thorough in his explanation and recommendations. We decided on one of the products but had to hold off installation because we were having other work done in the backyard that could have damaged a new turf. Finally the yard was done almost a year later and we contacted Fenix. Their prices had gone up only 10 cents a square foot but they honored our original bid. Installation was scheduled a couple of weeks later. A week before the install we received an email with the site prep, warranty, care instructions, and other useful information. They offer a discount if you pay by cash or check. On installation day they arrived close to 8 a.m. and apologized for being late as it was foggy in Sacramento and dangerous driving. The crew immediately got to work, first capping off the irrigation that watered the former grass lawn and then digging out the dirt and roots. They uncovered a couple of drainage pipes that we weren't aware of and cleaned them out and reset them to be operational under the turf. They accidentally cut some irrigation pipes and quickly repaired them. Once the job was finished they cleaned up our backyard, even on the side of the yard they weren't working in. The new artificial turf looks wonderful. We highly recommend Fenix if you are considering artificial turf for your yard.

We caught Alvaro lying about serious mistakes in the electrical work that his team did as part of…read morethe package for doing our backyard. The improper wiring caused damage to our brand new hot tub. We had a third party inspect his work, which discovered additional electrical code violations and safety concerns. Unfortunately his response when we first told him about the bad wiring was to bring over his electrician and try to undo the mistakes without telling us, then claim that everything was fine all along. Well, we have multiple sources of evidence showing what the problem was and how he tried to hide it. Cannot recommend this company based on the outright dishonesty we experienced. One of the trees that he overcharged us for starting dying of root rot within 3 months, due to his team digging the smallest possible hole for the root ball. We dug it up and found the tree roots choking in a pool of old water due to a lack of drainage. A complaint with evidence has been submitted to the Contractors State License Board.

During excavation, I was assured multiple times that all underground water lines would be properly shut off and removed. However, this spring, after my gardener installed a new sprinkler system, we discovered a significant underground leak. Upon investigation, we found that one of the original water pipes--supposedly decommissioned--had not been properly capped or removed. I immediately contacted the company, expecting a straightforward resolution for what should have been considered a foundational installation issue. Instead, I was told that because my gardener lifted a portion of the turf to identify the leak, the warranty was voided. Despite requesting to speak directly with the owner, Tim, my calls were deflected and I've received no follow-up for over two weeks. This has been an incredibly frustrating experience. A basic expectation in turf installation is ensuring no active plumbing is left beneath the surface. This was not a complex repair--it was an avoidable oversight that the company refused to take responsibility for. To the owner: I recommended your business to friends in good faith. Had I known customer concerns would be dismissed so easily, I would have never done so. Ignoring valid issues and refusing direct communication with clients is not how reputable companies should operate. For anyone considering working with Heavenly Greens, I strongly recommend proceeding with caution.
