Horrible customer service! We arrived with a group of people ready to eat, drink, play pool and listen to some good music. Loaded the Jukebox (cost money-it's electronic which is my favorite and lead us here). The Jukebox was paused and we asked for bartender to unpause it. Ordered a round of drinks and I kid you not their barback ordered this headbanging crap of music. It would be different if there were paying customers then it's a free for all...paying as in buying drinks, appetizers and playing pool. Addressed it with bartender and he literally could care less. Out the door we went. We were a group of 8, 3 had arrived 5 in route. Money walked right out of the door and if I'm the owner I'd be having a conversation with that entire crew! read more

I'm giving one star only because the strawberry lemon drop was good. The service and overall experience were not. We asked if food was available and were told the cook was not there and that no food was being served. While we were sitting there, we clearly saw the bartender cooking in the kitchen and pizza coming out. When my husband politely asked about it, we were told the food was "only for the bartender."but she was serving people that was not bartenders ??? make it make sense! yes there was a storm but thats no excuse for serving customers that were NOT workers she shouldn't of been cooking at all SHE IS A BARTENDER!!! NO COOK MEANS NO COOK?! That made no sense. If food is being cooked, then food is being cooked. Saying there is "no food" but then preparing food behind the bar for staff only, while customers sit there, felt disrespectful and dishonest. The interaction left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. The tone, the inconsistency, and the way it was handled gave off a discriminatory vibe, whether intentional or not. As customers, we should be treated with the same transparency and respect as anyone else. This establishment needs to work on professionalism, communication, and how customers are treated. Well this was a find! We just moved into the neighborhood, we were dusty and tired, and we wanted a low-key place to grab a decent bite and a drink. Food: burgers were really good--cooked to a brilliant medium. I got the mushroom Swiss, hubby got the basic cheeseburger. We also got the mozzarella sticks and some onion rings (both were good, but nothing special). My only wish is that they consider adding sweet potato fries as another side option. Bar: great selection of whatever wets your whistle. Bar stools have backs (super important). Service: EXCELLENT!! Very attentive, knowledgeable of the menu, and quick with replenishing our beverages. I've been coming to the Gardens Sports Bar & Grill for only a short while but I'm impressed. The improvements the owners have made recently are fantastic. You can really tell they care about creating a comfortable, welcoming space for their patrons. The atmosphere feels fresh, the food is good, and the service is even better. Friends of ours recommended this place to us for a good fresh handmade hamburger. We had been here by chance one time many years ago but I guess I didn't leave a review back then. They have lots of TVs so you'll most likely find whichever sport or game you're looking for somewhere. They also have a TouchTunes jukebox, which I like but they're becomming more and more difficult to find. The bartender was the only person working there that we saw, but he did a good job of being attentive to the tables and the people at the bar. The food was good and we all ate everything we got, but I'm not sure why I didn't get any pictures and I don't remember what we got except someone got the burger because of the recommendation. This is a bar that sells bar food and as long as you stick with the fried bar food it's absolutely fine. A few years ago we really enjoyed the burgers and a fresh avacado salad that was available. Sadly the burgers are now pre packaged not fresh made anymore and they stopped selling the fresh tasting salads. The fried fare is good and it's a decent close to home bar for drinks fries and wings- Replying to Cheryl. Thank you for responding! We will absolutely come and try the menu. What a GREAT place - who would have thought just just on the other side of the hotel we were staying at was such a great little local find. The place is surprisingly large once you walk in and there's a very long bar towards one side of the bar/grill.... We were quickly waited on, super friendly bartender who saw us sit down and she quickly came over to get our drink order.... We weren't quite sure what we wanted and she quickly asked some questions to give us some suggestions. She then offered us a cocktail of her own making, in fact she hadn't even named it - which we tried. Let me tell you; YOU HAVE TO TRY IT!!!! Whiskey, razzmatazz, sours and simple sugar..... like my wife likes to say: "Holy Guacamole!!" Yes indeed did we quickly order a second round once our food came out! I am SO sorry I can't remember her name - but well done!!! Not only did you fabricate an amazing drink, but even when our food order was messed up - you came by, saw that we had clearly not orders half of our order as barbecue wings - pleasantly smiled, lightened the mood and quickly came back with our correct order!!!! She should be commended because, as I type this my wife and I agree; we would totally make this a regular place if we lived closer!!!! Just tried the new kids on the block and I enjoyed it. Had the Gardens cheeseburger with bacon and jalapenos, comes with frys. It was good, cooked well an the peppers grilled were hot as hell. The frys were salted right with lots of flavor. Not bad for 9 buck. Most important of all, the beer is cold. They have a small variety as of right now but hope they'll increase that soon. Of course i'll be back to try some more of the menu and if the burger and frys were an indicator of how the rest of the food is, i'm sure gonna enjoy it. Oh yeah! Food is overpriced and not that good. The service was really bad. We stopped in on Friday night and seated ourselves as the sign said. GROSSSSSS!! I am hoping people don't seriously go here for the bland, cold food. I would be embarrassed to serve the cold, unsalted French fries and the Rico's cheese (wasn't even THAT good) and jalapeño poppers which weren't cooked all the way and also didn't have any flavor!
