A restaurant in the old music building and another in the old gym locker room area. You can find a listing of vendors on their website. It seems like a nice variety. Twice every month (every 1st and 3rd Saturday) they do a market days event where additional vendors set up their tables in the hallway selling anything from baked goods to antiques. You can find their schedule and info on Instagram (@taylormarketdays). Multiple parking areas surrounding the buildings. The shops are in the main (two-story) building and the restaurants are next door. Awesome experience even if you don't buy anything. They have firework shows at the city lake on 4th of July, so all you have to do is put your lawn chairs right next to your front door and enjoy the small show they have. Smoking is allowed in the apartments. Neighbors seem to be friendly. Water is free. There is remodeling being done at this place since it was last built near the 70's. Pets are allowed with a fee. Nice spacious apartments for the price and location (we are playing $490 for a 1 bedroom "680sqft", feels smaller though.) But prices might be higher for new comers, $500-$520. They do have a pesticide person to come in a spray for roaches. They do a 3 month inspection to see if the places are being kept up with cleaning but this is also to see if anyone is cooking meth and have drugs laying around the place. They change out air filters for the a/c every month or so. Cons: I have bad allergies every season and my asthma gets pretty bad with the smoking that my neighbors love to do 24/7 downstairs below me. Had to buy my own air filters and air purifier fan. Had plants sitting outside in front of our door and most of them got stolen by the parents children. The one bedroom we moved in was remodeled but that was just the bathtub. The brown/green carpet and old tile on the floor didn't change. With low income apartments, expect some drama around the neighborhood. At least once in a while. The apartment already smelled like smoke from the tenant from before us. So all of our clothes smell like smoke everyday. We cleaned the walls pretty well but the smoker downstairs probably doesn't help. The apartments were not cleaned before we moved in, we had to get our own shampoo vacuum. One swipe and the water was pitch black. No gym and no pool. Conclusion: This place is not worth the money and my health. There are better places here in Taylor for the price at these apartments. Glad I'm moving out.
