So I don't see why she couldn't inform me of this balance. Then again she never mentioned it cause I didn't owe it. She probably pocketed my last payments, who knows. I may fight it but I gotta also see if it is even worth it. It may cost me more money to do so. I was initially terrified of moving because I had a really bad experience with the first apartment that I moved to when I came to Texas. The customer service is excellent. Ashley and Nicole are responsive, sweet, kind, and welcoming. I have been some of the best examples I have ever seen as far as a property management staff is concerned. We toured several different apartment complexes and this constantly topped the list. The facilities are very clean and are constantly being cleaned by other staff members. The gym is really beautiful and has all the equipment one would need to bulk up or just focus on cardio if they want. The business center is so convenient because of the coffee and the printer. The hammock garden is one of my favorite places to lounge in when I have the time. We got a two bedroom apartment here and other than a few dings on the wall, it is incredibly spacious and beautiful. We have been so happy living here and it's been the first time in my life where I feel like I can kick off my shoes and enjoy myself. Maintenance has been so responsive as well. Anytime I've submitted a ticket, they have been there the same day. To be honest I'm rather disappointed I don't see more good reviews for this apartment complex. It seems that people are more ready to leave negative feedback than positive and I know so many other tenants have nice things to say about this apartment because I've spoken to them myself. If I'm not ready to buy a house by the time this lease ends, we will probably continue to stay here. That's how much we like it.

The residents used to enjoy the community and made the place look like a home. Now they are being forced to remove any personal touches to the front yard and pay more in rent. Grandchildren don't give your grandparents anything that would look cute outside as they can't have it. The complex should be more worried about actually fixing the apartments then taking away small freedoms. The building don't even have identifying numbers after many residents have complained about this issue. They allow things to fall apart, and break all while expecting more money from elderly on very fixed incomes.

They have firework shows at the city lake on 4th of July, so all you have to do is put your lawn chairs right next to your front door and enjoy the small show they have. Smoking is allowed in the apartments. Neighbors seem to be friendly. Water is free. There is remodeling being done at this place since it was last built near the 70's. Pets are allowed with a fee. Nice spacious apartments for the price and location (we are playing $490 for a 1 bedroom "680sqft", feels smaller though.) But prices might be higher for new comers, $500-$520. They do have a pesticide person to come in a spray for roaches. They do a 3 month inspection to see if the places are being kept up with cleaning but this is also to see if anyone is cooking meth and have drugs laying around the place. They change out air filters for the a/c every month or so. Cons: I have bad allergies every season and my asthma gets pretty bad with the smoking that my neighbors love to do 24/7 downstairs below me. Had to buy my own air filters and air purifier fan. Had plants sitting outside in front of our door and most of them got stolen by the parents children. The one bedroom we moved in was remodeled but that was just the bathtub. The brown/green carpet and old tile on the floor didn't change. With low income apartments, expect some drama around the neighborhood. At least once in a while. The apartment already smelled like smoke from the tenant from before us. So all of our clothes smell like smoke everyday. We cleaned the walls pretty well but the smoker downstairs probably doesn't help. The apartments were not cleaned before we moved in, we had to get our own shampoo vacuum. One swipe and the water was pitch black. No gym and no pool. Conclusion: This place is not worth the money and my health. There are better places here in Taylor for the price at these apartments. Glad I'm moving out.
