Let's be honest, Jasper is not the dining mecca of the world. Garfield's definitely supports this. We were greeted and seated, placed our order and had drinks pretty quickly. That's when time stopped. Apparently the restaurant , like so many other businesses, is very understaffed. It took us quite awhile to get our food. When we did get our food, it was nothing to write home about. We both ordered burgers. They were so well done that they were just on the this side of being burned. Neither of us finished the burger. Maybe they were trying to average things out - our fries were undercooked. Everyone will agree that the Jasper Mall is pretty pitiful. Garfield's belongs in this mall. read more

Went to Garfield's at Jasper Mall. I had never eaten there as I heard years ago it was not very good. Well went today for lunch. Got chicken tenders. They were fresh tenders battered in house. Delish! Less than 10 bucks ... 14.00 with tip. Can't even eat fast food for that price these days. Servers were super sweet and good at their job! Y'all go try it! read more

We've lived in the area for almost two years and finally got a chance to visit Garfield's tonight. After seeing some of the reviews on here I wasn't sure but we had a wonderful experience!! this is a great restaurant for a quick family meal. I really like the Cajun Chicken Penne! Their burgers are good too!

Alright food. The time I was here their were only two chefs in the kitchen. Very bad service it takes forever to get your food. I waited 1hr and thirty minutes once. It was absolutely horrible I will not be going here in a while. The restrooms are disgusting and uncomfortable. The meal was also very expensive! I think this is the worst real restaurant I've been to. It's also in a mall. Whenever you walk into the mall you get a whiff of cigarettes it's so bad. I don't recommend stopping by here. read more

We had Garfield's for dinner and everyone enjoyed it. Our server was really nice, and she recommended their ribs and their hand-pattied burgers. The fire strings burger was really good! We also ordered the seafood platter and Fiery Cajun Chicken Pasta and was good. The portions are big also! Good Experience. read more

I stoped by on a Sunday for dinner, and this restaurant was a pleasant surprise. Despite the bad reviews, it was very clean, and the staff was so nice. My friend and I shared the 22 dollar deal with chicken tender dinners and chocolate cake. The chicken and fries were hot and crispy, and the homemade Buffalo sauce was excellent. I highly recommend the chocolate cake with ice cream. This restaurant is really great, I suggest you give it a try if you are in jasper! read more

We just ate here tonight. Sat down got tea then took 15 minutes for first waitress to get our order. She then introduced next waitress after she took our order. Took 20 min for salad to arrive. It took 50 minutes to get a steak that was cooked wrong and so fatty couldn't even eat it, a baked potato that was hard and cold. Server was very polite and manager apologized. Took one meal off the ticket. We've tried to eat here several times and this always happens. There were only 2 tables and the bar when we arrived. No excuse for taking so long to cook this order. I have always loved this restaurant. I moved out of state and work brought me back so I wanted to treat my parents to a nice steak dinner for valentines. The steak was burnt and tasted horrible. The side was Broccoli and I got two hole pieces... and by pieces I mean little pieces. The steak was Horribly burnt! The staff offered a new steak but I had a 4 hour drive from from dinner and asked if they could make our steaks to go. When I got home, I saw they placed the cooked steak right on the styrofoam container which melted from the heat of the steak. And the new steak... was burnt along with the styrofoam container with a big hole in it from the heat! I miss the old Garfield's!!! read more

I, myself have never had any bad experience at the Jasper location. My go to is usually the Fire string burger and it has never disappointed. I usually order take out and my order is always accurate, fresh, and delicious. The times I have dined in the restaurant the experience is just as good. Friendly staff and prompt service weather you eat or just go for drinks. Desserts are all delicious as well but usually too full from the great entrees to get any dessert. This is only reason I stop by the Jasper Mall. read more

The food is good, the service not good at all. Waited 15 minutes to be seated and never was seated so seated ourselves. Then 30 minutes later still no service. Three waitresses talking and playing on their phones ten feet from us and nothing. Was very mad at that. Got up and walked out and then the three girls said thank you come again. I loved the service that I got from my server Brooke and our bartender Ashley, she one of the best I've ever had!!! Ms. Liz Oakland was the manager on duty and seemed to have the place running like fine tuned instrument. She came to our table to make sure our experience was all that we expected.. She was funny and personable and made us feel right at home. We loved all of the food, it was perfectly prepared and all of our exceptions were honored just the way we ordered them. Not as good as other places in this style (Applebee's, Ocharley's, etc...). Overpriced for the quality of food. Drawing on your paper tablecloth with crayons is gross... Ahh Garfields, While visting family in Jasper,AL we stopped at garfields on a thursday night for dinner. They're comparable to an Applebee's. I was surprised to find that they had a veggie burger on the menu, This made my night being Vegan you don't have alot of options at places like this except a salad with no dressing, The rest of the food looked normal nothing special. But they do have Karokee on Thursday night, My mom and sister tore it up in this lovely small town, it was like dining with rock stars they had everyone in the restaurant begging for more, all and all a good experience with that deep south hospitality. read more

We have a few of these Garfield restaurants back home, but have not had a chance to dine at one yet. The evening we ate at the one in Jasper, Alabama, the place was pretty quiet. It is located inside of the Jasper Mall, so I was surprised to see that there were only 2 other tables occupied, especially considering it was around dinnertime. It didn't take especially long to get our drinks and meals. My order (Macaroni & Cheese w/ Grilled Chicken) was huge... I swear it was enough to feed four people... and it was really good (nice and cheesy!). Hubby ordered the Tilapia, which he said tasted "fine". Service was good, I didn't notice anything unclean about the place, and the prices were reasonable. However, they could have given me half the portion size of Macaroni and charged me half the price and I still would have felt like I got a pretty good deal. I just couldn't eat it all... and I can't stand knowing that I'm wasting good food. read more
