I was in town visiting family and friends and we decided to get to dinner and my nephew suggested we get here. I had the filet mignon and it was amazing along with the corn fritters and potato salad. The steak was so be of the best I have ever had,the potato salad was good,but a little more mustardy than I prefer the corn fritters were good. Our server was a very sweet lady,but not very attentive for how empty the restaurant was and I felt like it took a little longer than it should to get our meal,but when it arrived it was very good. Way over priced for a mediocre at best steak and one very small by anyone's standards margarita made with one standard shot of patron was 18 dollars steak was saturated in dales it was supposed to be cooked blue and came out medium rare to medium fries were good but I don't typically pay 45.99 for my meal and 18.00 for one margarita x 2 of us just to be slightly impressed over some fries. The food was outstanding. They need a few more servers when we were there. There were only two people serving food and there was a long wait both to sit and to get your order. The servers were friendly, but you could tell they were overworked. The steaks were excellent. All of ours were cooked to perfection. The potatoes were large and cooked perfectly. The salad was also very large and it was fresh and crisp. I would highly recommend this place for the food especially the steaks but note be patient. We waited for some time just to sit down and when we sat down, we probably waited for 15 minutes or more before we saw our waitress to start taking our order. So hopefully they will get some more servers I know in today's industry it is hard to keep employees, but the two ladies that were serving that night we're doing the best they could, and they were doing a good job. I definitely would eat here again in the future, but if you're in a hurry or in a rush, I would not go here cause you may become frustrated, but if you're in the mood for a good steak dinner, I would definitely come here. First time trying this place and I have to say that I wasn't expecting much but this was amazing! Best burger I have ever had. The mini bean burger is NOT mini and is full of flavor. The fries were delicious as well. My husband had the ribeye sandwich on Texas toast (The Judy's) and baked beans...so good. Corn nuggets are a great appetizer! We will definitely be back. From the outside and not familiar with Jasper it looks like it could be a pool hall or a strip club. Walk in and hosted was super nice. The room was well lit with tables and a bar. Walls were decorated with boxing memorabilia and pictures. It was cool looking at all of Butterbeans memories. Waitress was present. The beer was COOLD! We were looking for a good, filling supper and thought we'd try them out. I got a stuffed pork bbq potato and hubs got hamburger steak with gravy and gravy with cole slaw and corn nuggets. Our wait wasn't long for our food and it was hot and fresh. My potato was very tasty and filling but I am not a fan of his bbq sauce. Hubs only complaint is they didn't offer mashed potatoes to go with the hamburger steak but all was hot and tasted good. We recommend and will def go back. read more

This was the signature #BeanBurger only I requested a single as you can see it's still a generous amount of food. Being back in #Bama I experienced a family flavor that I hadn't had in some time, @dalesseasoning . It can be a little salty if you aren't used to it but it pairs well with the sweet pulled pork and the smoky bacon. It feels good to see my hometown of #JasperAlabama grow in the culinary world. The fries are crispy. It's a small town so there isn't a lot of foot traffic during lunch. This is part 2 of my Birthday party post! So...we booked this party place 3 to 4 mths ago with a guy with the last name McNutt idk who he was at Mr Beans but whatever... So we checked on the reservation at least 2 to 3 times a mth for 3 to 4 mths and everytime no problem. It was scheduled for the party room for 25 to 30 people and from 5 to 8pm. 5 to 6 wud be decorate time and 6 to 8 party and cleanup with eating and mingling time. So...fast forward to day of party where the girls in charge of the party called down there in a group message and were told no it was "accidentally " double booked ... Ok we get it accidents happen but then they call bk and say no problem yall get the room 5 to 8 no problem so yay...the girls get there decorate, people start coming and yes more then 25 30 showed up...I cannot help it I am loved...there was about 40 people all together that stayed(I counted) & 6 people basically asked to leave(I'll get to that).. to start this right...let's be clear we had one server who was 5 mths pregnant and did her best and guy manager out front (who quite frankly needs to be fired and never wk in our town again) I'll get to that later. She had table out front & our party. They had servers call in which btw is not their fault but hey call some people in and if they won't come in, ok I get it, but I myself haven't seen where Mr Beans is hiring ...anyway story for another day...I wudnt wk there or eat there. Sooo....fast forward its 630, people that got there at 530 still have no drinks and just now getting to order....at 7pm, some of my guests start leaving bc they have no drinks, no food, and they have went to the scuzzy guy out front and he doesn't seem to care. Then at 730 food starts coming out. Some was good some was missing and some people got other people's that had left who never got to order. Around 630/7 I believe 4 of us including myself go to the scuzzy boy up front and ask for 4 pitchers so we can fill up drinks to help the server out whom is the only one we care bout at this point... Forgot to mention, right bf the food comes out, the scuzzy boy comes into the party room and starts counting and we are wondering why and now we know why( in a min I'll tell u) So...fast forward...everyone pays, we pack up, go to leave and I see some guests that left way earlier bc they never got waited on so we were chatting and out comes the scuzzy guy with a ticket for $54.98 and says I'm sorry I know it's your birthday party and all but this ticket was left and needs to be taken care of immediately (very rude from the beginning) I said let me call to see who it cud belong to bc it had alcohol on it and food and only a select few drank so I start calling my peeps and at one point had them on speaker phone and they heard the guy saying the food is not what's important, it's the alcohol and I'm like then why come at me with a 54.98 ticket then. Then he says the owner is on his way out here from the kitchen and I said good I'd like to talk to him. He comes out and this guy yall is a short stocky almost ball headed buttmunch who I guess is kin to Butterbean some how ( i don't care who he is or who he is kin to ) but what happens next can only be described as the worst experience at a restaurant and I worked in restaurants for over 14 years combined. The so called owner comes out and says are we going to get this taken care of and I'm literally on speaker phone with friends to figure it out and he says do I need to call JPD and I said whoah hold the phone. I said I would get ahold of my friends and see and u r standing here threatening JPD on me and my friends at my bday party after everything we went thru at your establishment. He says they told us there was only supposed to be 25 to 30 and I'm like I cannot help I am loved in the community (funny but true) and more people showed up to give ur shifty establishment more money and they were told they cudnt sit in the restaurant and cud only sit in the party room which had no more seats, no air conditioning, and no food or no drinks. Then the "owner" says jpd is on the way and are u paying or not and by this time, we have found out noone drank or ate any of the items on the ticket bc they left. The shifty guy up front says the alcohol was served which was not. I told the guy and I'm sure as u all know me by this time, I was pointing my finger, getting louder, and cursing (may not have been a strong suit) but don't threaten me or my family and friends especially when none of us did anything wrong. Not to mention when ur establishment was so crappy from beginning to end. I am making this public bc I want everyone and anyone to please share this! This place needs shut down! I will never go bk to this place, never order from it, never endorse it, and in no way ever support anyone from it...if u know someone that works there, kin to them, or support them; sorry but not sorry! read more
