Upon first arriving I'm always greeted with friendly and welcoming service and the smells of freshly cooked everything (seriously impressive for the small kitchen space). Portion sizes are very generous, I've definitely never left hungry. The food here reminds me of the food I ate at home growing up, and that is the biggest compliment I can give someone! If food brings people together then El Maguey is deserving of a Nobel peace prize. Believe the hype!
