They allowed me to move in with a zero balance. 2 months later they said I was missing my first months payment and harassed me the entire time I was there for it. They stole my first months rent. The first manager knew it and my Va rep. The next manager knew nothing about it but the owner David did. I suffer from ptsd and many other mental issues. I finally moved out at the 8 month mark. The harassment was overwhelming. They then waited until my lease was us up to charge me over $9,000. My legal counsel said some property managers do stuff like this all the time. They are crooked. Do NOT move in here. I talk to other veterans who had problems here as well. Only gave it one star because I couldn't give it no star. This was my first apartment ever and it was supposed to be a positive experience. I was so excited and yet it was ruined by dishonest people taking advantage of homeless veterans.

He was consistently quick to respond to maintenance requests, always friendly, always kind. He even helped me hang a few pieces of artwork because I couldn't do it on my own! I deeply appreciated him and the crew, who showed pride in the upkeep and cleanliness of the building - lobby, gym, elevators, garbages, entryway. Thought it's not worth removing a star, it's worth noting that the front desk staff has seen a lot of turnover over the years. And honestly, their service and temperament have been... uneven. Not as consistently stellar as when I first moved in, with Jonathan and Alex as first points of contact - they've since been promoted (!). But, I moved out in July, 2024 so hopefully that's worked itself out and the front desk staff at Maxfield are back to offering excellent service all around. Anyhoo, I'm writing this review so many months after moving because this year, I missed seeing the NYE fireworks out of the beautiful windows of my Maxfield unit (the #5s)! lol And I want to affirm my primarily warm experience there and encourage new tenants to consider Maxfield as your home, as long as you're gonna care for it as well as Richard and his team do :) (And, as long as you're comfortable navigating the surrounding unhoused community. We…read morehad informed several times during the week of our move in of specific problems like fire alarm issues and other maintenance issues and we where basically wrote off and made out to be liars like what we where experiencing wasn't happening. In our time living there we got to know other tenants very well and the consensus of opinion about management was the same across the board. Absolutely awful. Any noise complaints like dance parties/ classes directly above your unit is handled with a response close to " they are upstairs neighbors and noise will be heard, but we will talk to them and that is about all [they] can do". The results from that are absolutely nothing until they move which was our case. When trash shoots are clogged I was met with this response on several occasions " take a stick and poke it down". Packages are left by the front desk on the floor in a huge pile which are susceptible to being stolen. On many occasions important documents and packages were not received in any timely matter because of that fact. The front desk security there is an absolute joke! The front door which is supposed to have a buzzer does not work and there are many altercations with homeless people and people who are not supposed to be on the premises entering the building. On top of that the security at the front desk does absolutely nothing besides sit on their butt and watch sports on their phone or play video games on their phone. I find half the time they are outside the building having conversations with random people instead of actually doing their job. They also have a Checkin list that guests are supposed to sign into that in my entire stay there has never been filled out. In a case of emergency you won't have any information to go off of to refer to the police because of that. If I could give this apartment building a zero I would but because that is not a possibility I give it a one star.

Beaudry's management, specifically Esteban Moroz, is now trying to extort extra money from me by ignoring their own written records. The Facts: * Proof Ignored: I sent an email on 12/4 notifying them of my intent to vacate. I have an email from their staff on 12/16 formally confirming my Jan 6 move-out. Esteban is choosing to ignore and deny this clear evidence. * Glitched Records: Esteban Moroz is now trying to override this written confirmation by citing a glitched system document dated Dec 17th. The document he's using is broken and the dates are cut off. *Esteban is now trying to charge me for extra days I didn't live there, claiming my notice was "late." It's heartbreaking to see a place I once recommended turn into a business that wait until you move out to pretend your notice didn't happen so they can send you a bill for extra money.

It used to be a well-maintained and enjoyable place to live, but that is no longer the case. There are ongoing maintenance issues that are not properly addressed, including a persistent foul odor in my unit that I've submitted multiple work orders for with no resolution. Common areas and amenities are frequently out of service--gym equipment is often broken, including the AC and a StairMaster that has been down for over a year. The clubhouse also has broken TVs and other neglected equipment. There have also been damages to my vehicle caused by security staff, which were not properly addressed or resolved. There are additional concerns about upkeep throughout the property, including rusted fencing on the rooftop that appears poorly maintained. In addition, wildlife control in the parking garage appears poorly handled, and I have personally seen multiple dead pigeons. Security is rarely helpful when issues arise, and communication from management has been inconsistent at best. Meanwhile, rent continues to increase without any noticeable improvements to the living conditions or amenities. Overall, the property no longer reflects the standards it once had under prior management.

I HAVE WAITED SO LONG TO WRITE THIS!…read more Do not let the aesthetics of Roosevelt Lofts fool you. While the front desk staff were always friendly, polite and helpful, management and maintenance were some of the most negligent and dismissive people I have ever dealt with. My husband is a 100% disabled veteran, and despite providing valid service animal and ESA documentation multiple times before and during move-in, management continued charging us pet rent our entire lease. Their third-party verification company kept denying documentation over arbitrary "yearly updates," even though there is no federal or state requirement for yearly re-certification of a service animal. Management did absolutely nothing to help resolve it. The maintenance issues were constant. Our gas stove malfunctioned for MONTHS and management's solution was literally to "flip the breaker" every time it started clicking. A corroded pipe under the kitchen sink leaked and destroyed our belongings with water and mold. Our washer repeatedly flooded the apartment, damaging the flooring, and when I raised concerns about mold growing under the boards, maintenance completely dismissed it instead of properly addressing the issue. The cheap contractors they hire also caused additional damage during repairs and I still got charged for it even though I submitted photos to izzabella right after they "fixed" it. The worst part was when I slipped and fell on a wet floor in the building because there was NO wet floor sign present. I ended up in the ER, and instead of taking accountability, management immediately became defensive and tried to deny responsibility. I attempted to resolve things reasonably by only asking for my ER bill and broken phone to be covered, but they refused to work with me. I had to get an attorney and the complex retaliated by sending me to collection 3 days after I moved out for $12,000... didn't even give me a chance to pay the move out bill directly or dispute it directly with them. When calling them out and say it was retaliation for the ongoing litigation Michael denied it. I've ask multiple times for maintenance records and service records of all the times I put in ticket for someone to come out and fix something and they failed to provide that to me and the collection company. This property looks nice on the surface, but behind that is poor management, ignored maintenance concerns, safety issues, and zero accountability. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere before signing a lease here.
