I was picking up a sub when I noticed his sign on the door, ironically I WAS looking for a new DDS as I had recently moved to the area. Called his office to set an appt, found very kind staff and hours/times to match my schedule with no issues. This was I'd say at least 10+ years ago and I have to admit Russ has not only become my all time favorite Dentist, but I TRUST him and every suggestion that I've had to deal with over the past decade, which did include many root canals, crowns, and those dang cavities. I have never had insurance, as he knows, but he does NOT gouge the wallet of patients. His attitude is fantastic, yes a very kind person, regardless of what (tina? and ?jason?) say in comments from a decade ago. *(thank goodness he moved away from the trailer park known as warren) :) I have cleanings every 3 months from him and my teeth are looking great! Playing technician roulette, wondering who I would get and how rough would it be that day. It was a classic 'I hate the dentist' experience. Then, a friend of my mom's recommended Dr. Nowicki to her. She had her first visit and she told me right after that I would definitely want to go there too. So I decided to switch it up. Such a great decision. I can actually say I enjoy visiting the dentist now, because Dr. Nowicki and his team are not only great at what they do, but they are great people as well. From day one, I've felt very welcomed by Dr. Nowicki's office and similarly to Olive Garden, when you're there you feel like family (you really do). Every technician I've had has been very friendly and provided a great cleaning along with great care advice and answers to my questions. Not only that, but the team will take the time to help you out. During a regular cleaning visit, it was discovered I needed a minor filling. Instead of making me schedule something out, Dr. Nowicki went out of his way to squeeze in the minor filling right then and there for me. Lastly, I'd just like to elaborate on how kind doctor and his team are. I've had great conversations and I truly have received helpful care advice that was not previously provided by my old office or taken the time to be given. So it's the little things like that that let me know I've found my permanent dentist office while I live in the metro Detroit area. Over the weekend I came down with strep throat. On Monday morning I had to cancel. Strep throat is very contagious. The receptionist said next time we would appreciate a 24 hr notice. I said to her how was I suppose to know I was coming down with strep throat. Also the same day my Husband had a dentist appt. He was called into a mandatory meeting the last minute by the new management. Believe me he hated to have to cancel beause he had been having jaw pain. The Dr left my husband a msg asking us not to return. He had never missed a appt before. My husband is a very busy man he is a IT manager. Sometimes in life things come up. She also performs a cancer check, which is a wonderful perk. The prices services are what you would expect. However, Dr. Lieder is no fan of payment plans -- my only complaint!! Luckily, I have very good dental coverage, so I haven't had to work with her regarding payment plans.
