After contacting the company a multitude of times for not a title as promised in 30 business days. I was treated poorly and disregard. I contacted the Mva and the agent I spoke with contacted this company and the title was never even processed or sent out after I was told numerous times via telephone and in person that it had been. It has now been close to 4 months and I have yet to receive a title. I have never been treated so poorly by staff and felt that a review is necessary to make other aware. Drove to the address and just found an abandoned building on the side of the road. Called again and was given the new address which was only 2 miles away. Great, I thought. Drove to the new place to find two signs. One says open and one says closed. Checked the holiday hours posted on the door- Should be open at 1:45 on Friday December 28th. It's pouring rain and I really don't feel like driving all over Southern Maryland so I called again. No answer now. It's only been 10 minutes since I called last and got a human on the phone so I called a couple more times and gave up. Finally just drove to the DMV and got it done there. Today is July 6, 2021 I've called two times spoke to the young lady that works there and basically was told nothing she can do and can't get a hold of MVA. Well that's unacceptable. I am the customer. I gave them my money and my title and they should be researching where it is. I am convinced they lost my title. To be told "we take a bunch of titles up once a week and give them to MVA in a folder" That's the only reasoning I could get out of the lady that runs the office there. I've used many title agencies for a multitude of reasons. I cannot believe after speaking to her 2x a week and a half apart and leaving a voicemail today she is now not taking my calls. They are over priced and more expensive than any other title agency. Stay away from them they will not follow up on your title issues. There is no way it should take seven weeks to get a title. Typically takes 7 to 10 days. I either want my money back and my old title so I can take my business elsewhere or I want the title work completed. Use 12 Minute Tag And Title on the other side of the Bay Bridge if you go over there for work. There are more dependable and responsive. Will go to one of the other title agencies on the shore. But stay away from Shelley's. I will tell all of my friends, all of my family and post it on social media to stay away from this business with the poor customer service.
