I just had all four of my tires replaced here after they were recommended to us by the place that we got our car inspected. Not only was it quick and easy, the people there were just about the nicest and most helpful people I've ever met. I was already dreading the whole process because I had to go alone with two very young children, but from the moment I pulled in, I was met with one kind and helpful person after another. We ended up paying less than we expected, and the service was so fast, especially considering we didn't even need to make an appointment! Have you ever enjoyed having tires put on your vehicle? Me neither. Until today. The staff at Burnett-White tires were knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. I don't know if my favorite part was the turtle, the kitten, or the freshly popped popcorn. Been going there for months. I am homeless and live out of my car with my cat. Well today was ver humiliating they wrote a note saying they were not going to work on my car because of the cat and it was dirty and smelled. But they allow their techs to use profanity f bombs etc around clients. The black guy had to write this note and did not have a spine to yell me in person. I always pay my bill and do the best to keep my car clean and use fabreeze. Beware homeless or a dirty car they will turn you away. Don't go to mineki either they keep your car for ever to run a diagnostic just a way to get you to pay more money and to come back. Would not recommend to my enemies. After a year of lies and failures, and of course 15k to Burnett's, I started using another garage. Most of the work I had done at Burnett's had to be redone by professionals, of course it cost another 5k to repair and replace Burnett's mistakes, same part numbers just cheaper?! On a positive note, it was entertaining to watch people pick their nose then pet the cat! Word of advice, stay away from the cats, people are nasty. I'm adding a photo of a brand new oil pan gasket Burnett's installed. Looks like the mechanic used an air tool instead of a torque wrench. Just one of many, slap it together quick and hope he doesn't notice repairs. Ask to see all old parts! Make sure you check the part installed, the mistake featured in photo could have destroyed a motor with less then 3000 miles if I didn't check their work! Take pictures, you may need them for court. My advice. Spend your money on a lotto ticket, your chances of success will be better. Good luck friends! read more

After what was already a bad day plus car problems I took my car over to Burnett-white Tire Pros for tire rotation and to fix whatever start-up issues I was having. I got there and a receptionist helped me right away. It was the owner lady's birthday so I was offered some tiramisu and it started to feel like the day was starting to get better until I was told I needed a new alternator and starter. This is when things started getting worse. From what basic understanding I had of cars it didn't make sense that I needed those parts replaced when I had jump-started the car twice that day hours apart and driven it well over 30 mins after someone charged my battery for 1 minute, after having problems starting it up on its own. I figured my battery was not good anymore but I knew I could have been wrong because I was not a mechanic. So, when I was told they had to change those parts I started asking questions to better understand what the issue was. The receptionist told me to come around to the car and they'll try to start it again so I can see for myself. I went over and there was corrosion on the battery terminal so they cleaned it and I stood by my car watching. All of a sudden the owner lady came over and told me to get away from the car because the customer couldn't be in the work area. She was snappy and had an attitude but I understood it was a work environment so I moved away and watched from a distance. The car started up fine when they jumped it so the alternator and starter seem to be working after charging the battery for no more than a minute. I figured it might not be long term but I was glad that it worked because my day was already bad enough. I was ready to go to the front and pay for their services at that point but the owner lady started going off about if I was going to at least pay the mechanic and she definitely had an attitude this time. I saw that I was no longer wanted there so I gave the mechanic $6 because that was all the cash I had on me but I wish I had more to give. IDK if she thought I was trying to leave without paying or because I questioned them about replacing parts I had gotten not too long ago. My car now starts up fine without a jump so the corrosion must have been the problem. In the end, I left with my day worse than when I had gotten there because of the attitude I got for asking questions. So, thank you for your help, and happy birthday but go ahead and delete my information off of your server because I will never be coming back there! read more

My car needed brakes, made an appt with Burnett & White. Unfortunately I had to cancel at the last minute. A relative put the brakes on and discovered that I also needed to a wheel bearing. When I went into shop to order part and get a price, the owner yelled down to the employee who was helping me to call me back with the price because they were very busy. She was very rude and out of line. When I entered the shop a couple of days later, I was approached by the owner with sarcastic remarks and was told that they would not service my car anymore. I already had an appt to get wheel bearing put on, left my keys with employee who made the appt. 9:00 am, Was informed that he would call me when work was done. 3 hrs went by and no call. I called and was told that my brake pads has been put on backward. The owner informed technician not to put wheel bearing on. I picked up my car. Later in the day I got a call from the employee that the technician had corrected the problem. I thanked him. On the next day I was called by the employee and was told that I owed $180 for labor. Of course I refused to pay. Bottom line owner was upset because I had the brakes put on by someone else who I could afford at the time, which I brought to her attention when I spoke to her. Before this incident I had a lot of faith in Burnett and White and the employees. I feel that I was mistreated and the public should know what the owner is capable of. A once very satisfied customer, now vey unhappy and disappointed. read more

The reason I went here is because they are one of the few (and closest) places that have the specialized equipment to replace run-flat tires. I called ahead to reserve time and have the tires ordered, arrived at the scheduled time and was driving out with my new tires in under 30 minutes!!! We had a tire issue while traveling with our trailer and called these folks from the road. We had a large bubble in one of our truck tires and had to change to a spare that wasn't sufficient for what we were hauling. We had an extra spare that needed to be mounted on our rim. These folks told us to come right in and I know we didn't wait 15 minutes for them to come out, take the tire off, re-mount the correct sized tire on our rim and we were out the door. I wish I had the young man's name that helped us Monday, 8/31. He couldn't have been nicer and efficient. He and this shop made a bad situation so much better. I've never written a review before, but this was the worst customer service experience of my life. I took my car in to get tires mounted and wheels aligned. Alignment was performed so badly that the car was very frightening to drive (sliding around like on ice), so I arranged with the owner to return and get it fixed. When I arrived she refused to correct the problem and I was made to feel as if it was somehow my fault. Despite being very unpleasant throughout all my interactions with her, to her credit I was refunded my money. I took the car to a nearby shop where they found the car wildly out of specifications and fixed the problem. read more

I visited to redeem a certificate I had won for an oil change. This was my first visit to this store. I could tell the place is professionally run. Both the outside and inside were very clean. Even the floors were clean and buffed. They have a nice customer waiting area complete with big, comfortable chairs and reading material. The staff was professional in appearance and the ones I dealt with seemed knowledgeable. I guess it's a sign of my age and upbringing, but I wasn't keen on the guy behind the counter referring to me as "bud". Sir, when you don't know the customer's name, is usually a real crowd pleaser. The owner's desk is right behind the counter and it was obvious she runs a pretty tight ship. Unlike too many business owners, it appears she has a great idea of how important customer service is. read more

They lied about the cost to mount and balance tires. Then were very rude!!!!! I paid with an AMX card and she went on a rant about that even though i offered her a different card. Worse place ever, went there to get my car to stop shaking, and whind up getting my gas line cut, oil leaking out my pipe and engine peices falling out of my car as I was driving. Even showed them pictures of the engine pieces on the ground and they took my issue as a joke.Paid for a starter when my car never had an issue, until it got into their hands. Went back the next day to discuss the issue, and the customer service was horrible. The owner and her son dont know how to please customers at alll. They really argue with the customer, instead of trying to help you. The owner will probably get her ass beat soon for the way she talks to customers.My car later blew up hours later.If ever in salisbury NEVER go here people, N E V E R .About 15 techs and they all sit around and talk while customers are patiently waiting.
