On a Friday, my truck's fuel pump failed while on the road. I called AAA, and it was towed to Grant's Service Center because they said I would receive a 10% discount if towed to a AAA certified service center. As Grant's was closed on the weekend, I called them on the following Monday and was told that I needed a new Fuel Pump, a new battery and that my motor mounts were broken as well. I told them to go ahead and replace the fuel pump and put in a new battery, but skip the motor mounts. I was pleased that they were able to complete the Fuel Pump replacement and install a new battery quickly. After they called, I paid the bill and picked up the truck. The next day I had to take the truck on the hi way for a job. As soon as the truck reached 61 mph, I began experiencing a strong vibration in the floor, seat and steering wheel. After dropping below 60 mph, the vibration disappeared. I again accelerated to 65 mph. As I passed 60 mph, the vibration began again. Below 60 mph, there is no vibration at all. I had never experienced this vibration before, only after the repair work. I called Grant's and asked for the mechanic who performed the repairs. After I explained the experience, he immediately said, "You need a new Universal Joint". I didn't need one before I had the Fuel Pump replaced, but I need one now. I then took my truck to the service center I normally use. With one look under the truck, he said, "You need a new Universal Joint". Again, I didn't need one before I had the Fuel Pump replaced, but I need one now. I had my mechanic replace the Universal Joint and replace the motor mounts. When he was done, he explained that when Grant's reattached the drive shaft after installing the fuel pump, one of the needle bearings fell into one of the Universal caps, was then crushed and that prevented the joint from being balanced. Thus, the vibration during operation. I paid my mechanic $137.00 for parts and labor, plus the cost to replace the motor mounts, and took the truck for a test drive. All was well. I then returned to Grant's to speak with them about my experience. The mechanic said, "I thought that was going to be a problem, and I was going to fix it at no charge to you when you brought it back to have the motor mounts replaced". They asked what I wanted them to do. I showed them the bill from my mechanic and told them it seemed only fair that they cover the $137.00 I had paid my mechanic to repair the Universal Joint. They said they were only willing to cover 50% of that. I told them to forget it, and I left. The folks at Grant's were friendly, polite, did a job quickly and acknowledged their mistake. However, in doing one good job, they caused damage to my truck and would not agree to reimburse me for the cost to repair their damage. Needless to say, Grant's Service Center just saw the last vehicle I'll ever send them. I'll be sharing my experience with friends and neighbors as well. read more

On my visit to Grant's on the day which I had scheduled an inspection, the car broke down while one of the guys were moving it to the inspection zone. They came to me in the waiting room and told me what had happened, and went back to diagnose. Upon return some 30mins later, I was told my battery was toast. They intuitively got the costs for a new one, the diagnostics fee and the labor charge aligned, and I approved. A peaceful 1hr later I was told the car was back in working condition, and asked for my validation to then proceed to inspection (our original appointment agreement). A calming 2hrs later I got up from the waiting room to ask about my car, and was appeased being told they were almost done. When it was all said and done, I had spent 4hrs waiting on them. I told over the phone that the inspection would take an hour. 6 customers had come and gone with their issues dealt with at lightning speed. This is to say that, in the case of impromptu happenings, time may be taken, especially when they have to juggle between customers, and when the intended job you scheduled with them for is no longer the same when you get there - whatever the reason it may be due to. Friday 8/7/2020, I had to utilize AAA Roadside Assistance as I left work I had a flat tire. I was advised it would be about 60 minutes. Tristan, the service tech, called me within 5 minutes to advise he would be coming out to assist me. Less than 15 minutes and Tristan was at my car. Tristan removed my tire and showed me that I had not 1 but two nails in my tires and that there was steel showing through. I get my car routinely serviced at the dealership and was advised I'd be needing tires soon. This was less than a month ago. Tristan advised that all 4 tires were bad and that I shouldn't drive my car from Salisbury to my home in Ocean City. I asked if he could suggest somewhere close to take my car, he made a few phones calls and asked about tire sizes, out the door pricing, how soon could they do it and then provided me with information to make my decision. Today, I sit here with 4 brand new tires, at a great price. I am so very grateful it was Tristan from Grant's who came out to help me. I have used Grants before and I have never had an issue. If you ever need roadside assistance Grant's service center is the place to go! I've been a student at Salisbury University for 4 years now and have had to call roadside assistance multiple time due to driving an older pick up truck. 5 times Grant Service Center was sent to my aid! The mechanic Tristan provided services four out of those 5 times! He always beats the estimated arrival times by almost half! For example, today nationwide had said help was 70 minutes due to 5 inches of snow and he came in 15 minutes! Every time he comes he is very welcoming and always lightens the mood and stress of having a Broken down car or dead battery! He always goes the extra mile too! Pep boys told me I was going to have to get a big fix ASAP but when Tristan came he had the perfect solution and my truck started right up! Ive even seen him jumping other cars on campus! Great car service for 35 years; today 8/5/22 rich came out and drew a picture and explained exactly what needed done and explained how it's the numbers his diagnostic computer that show the problem; I recommend Grants to everyone! I like doing business with people who know me as a real person, not just a number. Sometimes the visit is free if it's a minor something, so I trust them. Maybe If they made a little sign below the first one telling steps how to post yelp review google on phones, (we don't facebook/socialst media) lots of old, local folks who trade there for years could write reviews also Young people know this different digital language and the staff doesn't have time for that headache. Grant's Service Center is an excellent company to call for vehicle lockout services. I do not have a roadside assistance service and I locked my keys in my trunk a few weeks back. They were quick and prompt. I was in my car within 45 minutes. Everyone else I called, told me it would be 1-2 hours. Grant's Service Center was expedient, courteous, and kind. A few hours later, on the same day, I locked myself out of my vehicle again. It was just one of those days for me. I called them right back and they provided me with the same excellent service that they had provided the first time. Once again they were quick, timely and very good - natured. I even received a discount on the second vehicle lock-out service they provided - something that Grant's Service Center did not have to do. I thank them very much for their benevolence.. Grants Service Center is a AAA approved repair shop. I had just gotten off work when POP, my front passenger side tire went out. I used the AAA app to request someone to come put my spare on. The ETA was 60 minute, but Tristan got to my car in 35 minutes. He introduced himself, evaluated how he wanted to approach the tire, and ensured me he was going to take care of it. As he was removing the old tired and put the spare on, we had a conversation about my car and how he had one, only 10 years older. He assured me that my car would last me a very long time. After putting on the spare, he checked the tire pressure. The spare tire was at a 25, but he put air into it to make it 32, the recommended pressure. He asked if I needed anything else and told me that if I needed anything else, they do it all. Thankful for AAA sending reliable mechanics when in need. read more

My husband, son and I went to Salisbury on the 21st to move our son out of the townhouse he lived in while at SU. Unfortunately, the alternator went in our truck, at the end of a long day, and left us stranded in Salisbury. We called AAA and they sent Grant's Towing. Their driver John F. was fabulous! He had our vehicle loaded in no time and then drove us 130 miles to drop our vehicle off at our mechanic's shop near our home. The long drive went by fast. John was such a nice person, with lots of funny/interesting stories and helped make a bad set of circumstances more pleasant. We will definitely keep their number, and John's name, and give it to our son when he goes back to SU this fall. We have a 2022 Ram Truck and our vehicle started to flash battery, started shutting down systems that were affected by battery power and we stopped in a middle aisle blocking a few parked cars towards Boscovs -Salisbury. We called Ram's emergency service and Tristan from Grants arrived very quickly. He was very knowledgeable, familiar with this type of problem, immediately started to charge the battery and also checked out possible alternator concerns. He was very service oriented and gave us suggestions on what to do the next day as this happened around 6:30pm. He also reassured us that the vehicle would be okay on the journey home, Seaford, De. I was waiting in the car for my wife who was in the waiting room of a doctor's office. I was listening to the radio when it suddenly went off the air. I tried changing stations, but to no avail. Then it hit me. The dreaded battery problem. And, sure enough, the familiar 'click', 'click' sound when one turns the key. I waited awhile for the battery to 'come back', but to no avail. I reached out to AAA and was advised that a Rep would be there in 46 minutes. About 12 minutes later, here comes a pleasant and knowledgeable young man who had my car up and running in no time flat. I called around to a few places this morning and everyone kept putting me on hold and transferring me, only to tell me they didn't know when they could get to my car. So I called Grant's and he said he would have it picked up today, and was very honest saying he probably couldn't get it diagnosed right away but would do his best first thing tomorrow. I called AAA from my work location due to a screw stuck in the tread of my car tire. A 60 min estimated time was given from AAA with text message alerts and map link sent showing exact location and arrival of my technician. Tristan called shortly after I hung up with AAA saying he was not far from my location and arrived within 5 mins. He assessed my tire and situation and offered to fill tire until I can take it somewhere close for patching or he would put my spare on. I opted for inflation of tire and he also offered information about the type of air filled tire I had as well as what kind of plug I should ask for (patch plug) since my tires were brand new. I had low tire pressure and used a local air compressor which was faulty and took air out of my tire instead of in. I was down to 6 psi. Yikes! I made it back to work across the street and called AAA. I barely hung up the phone when Tristan called me and said he had one call ahead of me and that he would call when he arrived. Arrival time was estimate at 2:30 but arrived at 2:09. He was very familiar with my confusing school parking lots. I met him and he explained that this is typical for air compressor around town. I called AAA after locking my keys in my truck. I was told that It would be about an hour before someone could come. In less than 15 minutes I saw the AAA Truck approaching the meeting spot with a kind gentleman name Tristan driving to assist. His courteous demeanor made a hot day not bad at all. I have been going to Grants for years because they've never ripped me off, went in with a problem before and they fixed it for free, and overall have always been super helpful and amazing. But today I got a flat tire and one of the Grants guys service guys came out (Sam) and he went above and beyond, he changed my tire and then my spare tire was low on air. And I honestly don't know how to fill my own tires, once he saw the panic in my face, he offered to do it for me and when the machine took change and I had none he even paid for it. Grants service center has been around for a very long time. I have always trusted them whenever I have had any auto needs. A few weeks ago I left the keys in the car and Christian came and was really pleasant and in a great mood which helped me immensely. I had been in a really bad mood before that. I trust them with my car and they have really good prices even when you have coupons for the chain stores. Did they beat out many by over $20! My son works at Regal Cinema at the Salisbury Mall and late one COLD and windy night when he gets off work he calls to say that his car won't start. He says that he tried to jump start it with someone he works with but after leaving the cables attached for over 20 minutes it still wont start. I was driving my FJ on a dirt road in the middle of no where at about 1130 pm. i got into some trouble when my SUV slid down into about a 3 foot rut. The FJ was sitting on the frame and I had no chance to get it out. I called AAA and luckily Grants Service center responded. I was a few miles down a very bumpy dirt road. I had very little cell phone service. The Tow truck driver Josh knew the area and was able to find me. When Josh showed up he immediately got to work.
