In coming here for an initial cleaning and exam, I noticed a lot of differences from my usual Dallas dentist. One, they don't use a different polish on veneers than on regular teeth (which my previous dentist did). Two, the tech who worked on my teeth was rough, especially on the gum line around my veneer. And three, while the office design was nice, the technology they used for the cleaning was a bit old-school (dated). I'm just used to a practice that uses newer forms of cleaning and polishing procedure. As I was private pay, the total was $250+, which is highway robbery for a simple cleaning. I go every few months, so my teeth are almost always never a problem. I was in and out in 30-40 minutes. The cost didn't come anywhere near equating to the experience. My search for a dentist in SA continues.

Instead of asking if anything has changed, they basically make you do the job of the front desk lady and fill everything out yourself. She has a beautiful old house located right on Broadway that's been reworked into a dental office, complete with fantastic fish tank! Dr Locke has such a chairside manner. She's patient, diligent, and punctual. She works alongside her daughter, who is her hygienist. The front desk is run by Debbie, who is friendly and efficient. It's always so great to visit with all of them. The office is wheelchair accessible, with a ramp to get in the old house, and doors wide enough to accommodate access. Dr Locke has been the family dentist for over thirty years! We really appreciate the work she does. She always has interesting stories to tell while cleaning, and seems deeply interested in the wellbeing of all of her patients. We've never had to wait for the dentist to come out, they're always on time and ready when we show up for an appointment.
