I do business in both San Jose and Santa Cruz. This gives me the option of using either Tap plastics in San Jose or Gary's in Santa Cruz. Most of the time I am in San Jose and less than 1 minute drive to Tap. However, I still choose Gary's. Gary's is a hole in the wall, tucked away, and next to the ocean...but Gary's gets it right. I get excellent prices from Gary, quick turn around, and a knowledgeable staff. I have gone into Gary's with large projects and small and have been treated very well. I have had plastics cut for free. I have been given guidance how to complete projects better. This has not been my experience at Tap in San Jose. If you have projects Gary's is the way to go. read more

I needed a custom piece of plastic to fit inside of an outside sink. I took my best shot at creating a template out of cardboard which was only so-so but the folks at Gary's Plastic Place worked with it and were able to create an exact fit. I did have to take it back to them twice for the perfect fit, but that was entirely my fault for having a crappy template to work with. They were incredibly patient with me, didn't charge me an extra for the additional work they performed, and the end result is AWESOME! I don't write many reviews - things have to be either REALLY GOOD or really bad. I can't recommend these guys enough. Very professional, fun to work with, and they really know what they are doing. My husband needed some red plastic flags made for a miniature 9-hole golf course he put in our backyard. The flags and red duck tape that I had used previously were destroyed by the sun over time. The two men at Gary's Plastic gave me expert advice and cut the pieces needed with NO WAITING.
