I didn't see anything on my rental car agreement and the service representative didn't mention it upon pick upof the vehicle. I turned in my rental car key, then asked about filling the tank. Yup... It would cost more if the rental company did it. Uhg!!! Luckily, Aloha Gas was down the street - on the corner of Kahuhipa Street and Kamehameha Highway. I got the key back, filled the tank, then returned to the rental car company to drop the key and car off. LOL... Thanks for the convenience, Aloha Gas Station!

Lo and behold, this Texaco car wash place popped up. I read a few reviews and I decided to try it out. There was about four cars ahead of me. The reviews warned us about the wait time. There is wait that depends on the type of car wash package you select. I estimated @10-15 minutes per car. I didn't know where to pay and I asked my sister to run into the convenience store to check if I needed to pay first. You can pay inside and you will receive a receipt with a code that you enter into a machine that is located near the entrance of the car wash. Or you can pay at the machine as well. Your choice. Pay attention to the instructions and lighted signs! It will guide you into the automatic car wash with ease. It's pretty loud inside so be prepared! Pricing is really great at $10 for the basic- Deluxe Wash, $14 for the premium wash, $17 for the ultimate wash, and $20 for Ceramic shine. See photo for more information. It's an automatic car wash , so be prepared to wipe down your car with a towel after you exit and find a place to park. The dryer doesn't get every spot. Because of location, this is one of the busiest 76 stations I've experienced on the Windward side. The line was long but it moved incredibly fast especially with two cashiers doing a great job amidst the continued flow of customers. Location makes it nice as you can fuel up, and shop at Safeway, Longs, etc, all within a couple hundred meters of each other. This station is also nice as it has good clean windshield fluid, squeegees, and towels to wipe off your windows while you fuel. Many stations don't even bother to change out the fluids in the fuel pump mounted basins, so you end up putting dirty fluid on your car windows.... Check back often for specials.

Luckily the guys at Texaco 'Aikahi offered to keep my car on the lot for a 'work in'. Long story short, they did my inspection within 24 hours. When I got there, it was all new to me since it was my first time through a car wash. The worker was super friendly and explained everything. Once I got there the system automatically pulled up my info from the license plate and the worker helped me go through. Once I got to the beginning there was a worker that helped me center and pointed to the instructions for how to go through. It was a cool 2 minutes. Only thing for me was that the drivers side had a portion of dirt that was still left on and the back side of my car was drill super dirty. Once I got home I used a waterless car wash spray to wipe it down and clean it. I guess it's better to just have to do the back than the entire car. I was lucky and got the last stall to vacuum. The vacuum was strong and did the job of cleaning the interior of my car. Overall, not bad for $20. I think it would work well if my car wasn't so dirty and you go and wash it weekly. Then the $50/month unlimited pass would be worth it.

What is hard is there is about 8 vacuum stalls during peak hours. Customers either wiping down their cars with the free complimary cloth while waiting for those stalls to open up. The business limit vacuum use for 10 mins so can free up the stalls. You can purchase their microfiber cloth but I bring my Costco microfiber cloth to use. I like the Kapolei location as there are more vacuum/wipe stations available here due to being a bigger location. I'm glad that I have Waipio location which is closer to where I live. The cost for service is $20.94. Card payment only, do not think they accept cash but ask. They have membership option as well. I prefer to wash my car at least once a month if can.
