    Right backside of car

Got the Ultra package, but my car still came out dirty -especially the back, even after the back side pre-wash and the hand wipe-down. You'd expect the staff to catch something that obvious during the final wipe down. Kind of defeats the purpose when you have to come home and clean the missed spots yourself.

I'd like to give them five stars because I've been here many times in the past but it's kinda hard for this time since I never got the wash cos their machine broke down right before I was supposed to start. I was gonna get a wash for my daughter's car before returning it to her so drive from Kailua to the Auto Spa and paid for The Works with a tire scrub as well. I was the only car there so paid for the wash and entered the unit and everything seemed fine. Other cars started lining up behind me so I figured great timing. I sat for a couple of minutes but the machine never started up. I figured there was a problem when the attendant walked into the washing area and started checking the tracks. After another couple of minutes he called another worker and they both checked it out. Then he came back and apologized for the breakdown. He offered a refund or I could get a regular hand wash but since I wanted the hot wax treatment I decided to just get the refund. I took this as the universe's way of telling me to get off my butt and wash her car myself; which I did after driving home (no wax tho) lol. Other than the unit being broken, they were very courteous and fast as possible in issuing the refund by voiding my ticket. I will be back again and hopefully it'll be working.

Looking for a quick wash on the windward side? This is the place to go. The attendant takes a brush around the car before it goes into the drive thru wash. Ultra package is about $18. For the price, its decent.

This is what the car looked like after Windward's "interior wash." The car wasn't filthy when I brought it in; they just played me.

I thought my experience here was a prank, like I ended up on Punked or a hidden camera show. But the joke was really on me. I borrowed a car and wanted to return in clean. So I went to Winward Auto Spa I paid for an exterior wash and an interior vacuum/wipe down. When I drove into WInward the car wasn't trashed, it had a little sand near the front console and dirty shoe prints on the rear passenger floor. After paying about $30 and wasting 40 minutes, I received the car in a very similar condition. The sand and the footprints still there. The photo is from after they "cleaned" the interior. They also couldn't be bothered to vacuum behind the car seat (which I had unhooked so it was easy to move). This place is ridiculous.

Don't get your safety check done here or service your car. Waiting room is disgusting and drab. Go to windward honda if you have a Honda otherwise steer clear. Dinged me on safety check for BS stuff that other places wouldn't think twice of. They are looking for work to charge you on plain and simple.

Ask the Community - Windward Auto Spa

How much does a smog check cost?

Smog check not required for Hawaii

Is there a doggy spa here?

Unfortunately, the Doggy Spa was removed a few years ago. It was replaced with a retail store that stocks automotive detailing products.

Does the self wash close the same time as the drive thru car wash?

I asked about that over a year ago and was told when main carwash is closed entrance and exits are closed and locked. So If it's still the same now you won't have access to self wash stall. Hope this helps.

NEWEST UPDATE: Aloha folks -- i've updated my review as…read morethere has been some progress. Greg reached out to me explaining that based on the video I sent, it appeared that the ceramic coating was working, but not how it should be. He asked if I could bring the vehicle in so that his team could wash it, and verify this in person. We agreed that I would drop my vehicle off on Friday. This will allow for a pickup on Saturday. Upon drop off, his guys, Zane and Kato accepted the vehicle and tested the ceramic. Right away, Zane said that it wasn't reacting correctly. I left my keys with them and was told that the vehicle would be ready for pickup the following day and I would be notified by call or text. Saturday -- Premiere is open until 6pm. Once 5pm came around I was admittedly starting to get a little bit nervous seeing as how I needed my car for work on Monday, and I knew they were closed on Sunday. I attempted to call and received no response. Living closeby, I just decided to head over. I got there about 540pm. Greg was there detailing the interior of a car. He had plenty of vehicles to take care of. He was friendly and apologized for the lack of communication, citing that he was swamped with the influx of vehicles. He explained that my car was "done" but that he, himself, had taken issue with it. When we approached my car, it was clear that work had been done. But upon closer inspection, there were water spots on my glass and streak marks on areas, exacerbated by the light from his cell phone flashlight. He was able to quickly wipe some of them off. He again apologized and said that he didn't like the work that was done and asked if he could keep my vehicle until Tuesday so that it could be completely redone. This I respect. Alot. For a boss to take ownership of their work and the work of their employees goes a long way. I left it -- picked it up on Tuesday. The car looks fantastic. Here's to waiting it out and see if the ceramic holds this time around. Very glad that I chose the boys at Premiere. Will update in a week :) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Aloha all! Second time using the boys at Premiere Island Auto Detail. They did an amazing job on my camaro, that I felt it only right to use them for our SUV. My last interactions with Greg (the owner) and his team were nothing short of amazing. He is a personably guy. I reached out to them asking for an interior and exterior detail on my 2023 Mazda CX50. After some back and forth on the services, I ended up changing my service to a "basic" ceramic coating (which includes an exterior detail to prep it) and full interior detail. The price was amazing. Greg takes care of his customers. I wont mention it here as pricing can always change. As a reminder to anyone reading this -- its always a nice gesture to tip them, though, not required. Greg was able to take my car pretty quickly. I made the appointment for a drop off on Saturday. For those of you that don't know, ceramic coatings require a curing time, and therefore, I needed to leave my vehicle overnight. The garage is secure and under surveillance. It is easily accessible in the downtown area. I came back the next morning to pickup my car. It looked stellar! The lighting really makes the cars pop too. The exterior looked brand new (minus water spots that apparently weren't able to be removed from the 3m decals). The interior also looked great. I had some minor pet fur still embedded, but nothing to harp about. I noticed that the trunk space wasn't addressed though. No biggie. Now the reason for my decrease in rating: I want to start off by reiterating that Greg and his team are excellent dudes to work with. They are friendly, fast, and do good work. My Mazda, this time around, just isn't what I expected from them. I haven't been able to get back for the car wash because the weather has been awful -- so its been a little bit of time since the coating. There are some spots where the ceramic is noticeable. Particularly under the side mirrors, you can see the coating is still there and streaked on. The new formula that they used on this "basic" coating, definitely shows a difference. Maybe this coating only included one pass over, i'm not sure, but the beading effect just isn't there. Dirt and grime still clings to the car and it doesn't wash off with water. The roof doesnt appear to have been coated, but I could be wrong. The wheels were not coated. I am unsure if the glass was coated. The trim appears to have been coated but not wiped off properly. Anyway, do I recommend them? Absolutely. I still think they do good work at a great price. However, I would strongly encourage you to ask about their options for ceramic coating and not get a lesser package. Mahalo Premiere

I cannot say enough incredible things about Premier Island Auto Detail and Greg…read more I first met Greg during a very special (and stressful) time in my life--just one week before giving birth. I needed my car to be immaculately clean, and what he delivered completely exceeded every expectation. When I picked up my car, I was honestly in awe. It looked and felt brand new. What truly stood out, though, wasn't just the quality of his work--it was him. My family was with me, and Greg treated all of us with such genuine kindness, respect, and aloha. That moment has stayed with me ever since. He is truly one of those rare, good-hearted people you don't forget. Fast forward to recently--I had what I thought was a total nightmare situation. After a fishing day with my family, squid juice spilled into my car and soaked into the carpet. The smell was awful. No matter what I tried, it wouldn't go away, and I genuinely thought my car was permanently ruined. Of course, I reached out to Greg--and once again, he worked his magic. Not only did he completely remove the odor, but my car now smells (and feels) brand new again. I honestly don't know how he does it, but his attention to detail, work ethic, and level of care are unmatched. Greg is the only person I trust with my car. I recommend Premier Island Auto Detail to everyone--my friends, my clients, my family--because when you find someone this genuine and this talented, you don't keep it to yourself. Thank you infinitely, Greg. Your work and your spirit truly make a difference.

Well... here's the follow-up review (I initially rated 5 stars on Google for the test drive and…read morenegotiation process) nobody wants to have to write. The paperwork/payment/ownership transfer portion took much longer than expected. I understand they were likely busy, so I tried to be patient. Hospitality-wise? Probably a 6/10. Not terrible, but once the purchase decision was made, things felt much more transactional. No beverages offered, no check-ins during the long wait -- not a huge deal, but small things matter when you're sitting there signing your financial future away. The paperwork itself was standard. No major complaints there. However, after everything was finalized and we were ready to drive off in our "new-to-us" certified preowned vehicle, we noticed a sizable dent in the driver-side C-pillar. In hindsight, I should have brought it up immediately, but at that point I felt like I had no leverage since everything was already signed and paid for. That part is on us for not catching it sooner. Still, after doing some research and speaking with people currently in the auto industry, certified preowned vehicles generally should not have cosmetic damage larger than about a quarter without disclosure or repair. I texted my salesperson the next day and didn't hear back (got a text 7 days later citing he was texting the wrong person). I eventually contacted management. Craig listened to my concerns, seemed genuine, and asked for photos of the damage. He mentioned an option to repair the dent and said he would follow up the next day. Unfortunately, I never heard back despite a follow-up email. Meanwhile, I was receiving automated texts asking me to leave a review, which honestly felt a little ironic. I replied to the text asking to be contacted via email but still have not heard anything to this date Then came another issue: the AC stopped working within the first week of ownership. I reported it immediately and was told to contact service. Fair enough -- but I live pretty far away, so being told to leave the car there all day meant missing work, rearranging schedules, and figuring out kid pickup logistics. Spending tens of thousands of dollars in cash only to immediately deal with these kinds of issues is frustrating. The AC issue has since been addressed, but while troubleshooting it, my husband discovered the cabin air filter was filthy and found a wad of napkins behind the glove box. Neither inspired confidence that the vehicle had truly been thoroughly inspected before earning certified preowned status. What made it more concerning was that the service advisor initially stated the cabin filter had already been replaced and documented in the system, only to later admit it had not been replaced and would be changed while repairing the blower motor causing the AC issue. That's really the core of my frustration. If obvious things like this were missed or inaccurately communicated, how am I supposed to feel confident everything else in the certified inspection was actually completed? At this point, I'm not expecting perfection. Cars have issues. But communication, accountability, and follow-through after the sale matter just as much as customer service before the sale. Right now, I'm still waiting for a resolution regarding the dent issue and hoping Honda Windward steps up to make this right.
