Fantastic job, hired these guy to clean and tune two gas fireplaces. Justin, our tech, was there 40 minutes early (when does that happen) he got the one fireplace that was DOA back in service, cleaned both of them, in a fast, friendly, and professional manner. He found a gas leak in one and fixed that too. He suggested that we could save money on heating if we added blowers to both units, then the heat would circulate the room rather than go up the chimney Sounded good to me, so I had him install them in both fireplaces, looking forward to the room being warmer from now on, and it should save on my heating bills. GFD did a nice job with my fireplace, and Justin is a very friendly, professional technician. I called them out when my 20 year old Heat N Glo unit was malfunctioning, and a cleaning/tune up was all that was needed to bring it back in service and it looks great. No repair parts, no up-selling, etc. In fact, Justin was very willing to troubleshoot my existing remote control however I was fine with the new one (and price) he had on hand to replace it. Avoid this company unless you want poor customer service. We had them scheduled three times. The first time the technician had an accident so they cancelled. The second time a customer before our appointment didn't tell them they had 3 fireplaces so they got behind and had to reschedule. The third time they sent a text in the morning to confirm and then no called/no showed. Three strikes and you're out! There are plenty of other repair companies out there. read more

THIS COMPANY OPERATES UNDER SAGE SOLUTIONS AVOID AT ALL COSTS! SCAM Tech showed up to fix the gas fireplace, but only cleaned it, and did not hang around to test it. The cost was 185.  As soon as the tech left it broke. So the 'cleaning' did not fix the issue. I had to schedule for them to come back out today to fix what they should of fixed the first time; the cost was 351.76 . The 60 part was over priced, and the labor, which they state as free is rolled into an over priced part. Stay away from this company. SCAM. read more

Our gas fireplace stopped working several weeks back, I called a few companies and decided on GFD. Danny came out today and looked at my fireplace and talked me through what I could expect, he was kind, respectful and kept cleaning my fireplace and looking around to see what the issue was and kept me informed every step of the way . It was my lack of maintenance and a build up of dust that was the culprit. I hired GFD to repair a gas fireplace that wouldn't turn on and clean my other one. On the first visit, the friendly tech was able to clean both units, but wasn't able to determine what was wrong with the broken unit. He kept after it and tried again with another visit (at no cost), he was still stumped so he had another tech come out and he was able to determine the cause. It took a few visits and about 6 weeks, but they were able to repair the unit. The technicians were friendly, communicative and I felt the pricing was fair and upfront. It did take longer than I had hoped to get to a fix, but I feel GFD was committed to getting the unit repaired properly and they kept in touch so I knew what was happening. I'm so glad I found these folks. I called early one week to clean and service my 20 yr old gas fireplace and they were able to fit me in that week. The nice lady on the phone was very courteous and professional, it was like talking to a friend. Adam arrived on time and called to give me his ETA. He took of his shoes before entering my home, was clean and courteous. He cleaned the fireplace and showed me what he found and offered tips to save me $. The only thing he didn't do was wear a mask. We used Sage/Gas Fireplace Doctors and have been very happy with their work. They cleaned three of our fireplaces and a few weeks later when we finally used them we noticed a slight smell - out of an abundance of caution I called them up to investigate. They sent someone out who was able to quickly say that it was the system burning off accumulated dust (they had not been used for several years) but he still took the time to use the gas detector to test, did a visual inspection, etc. When I asked him how much I owed him he said nothing, that it was a follow up from the cleaning and that they wanted to make sure we were safe.
