Great bar and Grill in Wellsboro, Pa. Right on Main St, in a beautiful setting, in a small country town. I got the Gas Light Burger, Brioche bun, half pound burger, topped with cheddar, bacon, caramelized onions, and mushrooms. A side of beer battered onion rings, which were fantastic. Burger was great, juicy, cooked to my liking, everything a burger lover can enjoy. Great place to eat, plenty of tvs for sports watching. read more

This bar and grill is my favorite place in Wellsboro. It's got an atmosphere that is family friendly, casual with great fresh burgers and cheesesteaks. Its fresh wings (served on Wednesday's and Sunday's) are the absolute best around. Great selection of beers too.It transitions into a cool vibe featuring live music weekly in the evenings (mostly Wednesdays and weekends). These are reasons enough to give them a try, but, in my opinion, their staff is truly remarkable. Hard working, personal, friendly and fun. They are the crown jewel of this establishment. CASH ONLY, so a bit of a nuisance there. Food is pretty simple bar food but has been good whenever I've come in. Nice beer selection. Pricing is reasonable. Bartender lady is friendly and sharp. This was our 2nd visit to the restaurant and yes, we are sure we enjoy it! Full size shuffleboard table, multiple TV'S, friendly staff, quick service and good food--who could ask for more! Definitely recommend a visit here while in Wellsboro or passing through the area. read more

I went into the bar and it was moderately filled Friday evening. I saw that the bartender lady was taking all orders everywhere and delivering food and drinks. I thought we made a mistake but she was awesome and didn't miss a beat. We got served fast, refilled drinks and the food was good for all. That girl is a gem. Not from the area but we will be back. read more

Great burgers! Best beer on tap! The hemp beer was surprisingly good! Definitely get the sweet potato fries and onion rings.

We came in as typical tourists, after hiking at Pine Creek. Walked around town a little, and my wife suggested stopping somewhere for a beer--glad her instincts led us here. I was kinda worried, based on the surroundings, but this place ruled. Good mix of craft beers and good ol' cheap American macrobrews, games (including a nice well worn shuffleboard table), ashtrays--this is a BAR. The great barmaid (it was a late Saturday afternoon, if that helps) made us feel almost as at home as I do at my regular local place. If you're in the area and looking for a real bar but don't want the "you're not a regular" stink eye, look no further. If I lived in this town, this is where I'd be pretty much all the time. read more

As a smaller town bar, it was as inviting as I had hoped. The staff knows the locals and remembers the regulars, even those just in a few times during a week long trip. The drinks are very well priced, I was expecting to pay a bit more (guess that is my being accustomed to Vegas pricing) - and gladly had a couple more, knowing they were well worth the price paid. Food-wise, the burgers were delicious! I have a few different ways I like to get my burgers prepared and they took my order, cooked and prepared it to perfection. The fish sandwich was good too. A nice flaky chunk of fish on a fresh hamburger bun was a good, light lunch. My main nit-pick is that the food is slightly overpriced. A burger with fries is $10! Town center bar with a sports bar theme. Menu is mainly burgers and sandwiches. 5 beers on tap. Bar is moderately stocked. There is a shuffleboard table and a few video games. There is also a ATM. Atmosphere is nice. Smoking is permitted and they also sell cigarettes. Parking is on the street, metered I had the bacon cheeseburger with fries ( your choice fries or chips). It is served on a kaiser roll. Food was good and served fast. read more

This is a fun bar in a small town. There's shuffleboard and darts, cheap beer specials, and cheap food. Very chill atmosphere. One con was smoking is allowed, which made me smell smoky and I'm not a huge fan of smoke smell in the first place. Cheap Yuenglings, good waffle fries and mozzarella sticks, and the salad with chicken was decent. The shuffleboard table was nice and evenly sanded :). read more

The best place to go for a great burger and a cold beer for under 10 bucks. The bartenders are always super polite, service is fast and attentive and the food always good. Lots of TVs for the sports fans and a juke box to rock to. We stop there for a bite to eat before heading across the street to catch a movie. Smoking is permitted but the filtering systems to an adequate job of cleaning the air. read more

A cute little neighborhood bar with a decent beer selection. I was a little put off when she insisted she card everyone (including the 70 year old gentleman next to me) - I assume they got busted for serving underage a few too many times. They have a few arcade games, none in working condition. We went specifically because we saw a shuffle board table - a surprisingly fun way to kill time! Stumbled in to this place after canoeing on Lake Hammond, and we were greeted by awesome music and friendly bartenders. They had a good selection of draft and bottled beer, and we had a blast. Didn't try any of the food, but I would definitely come back if I was in the area! read more

We've been here a few times on our mountain adventures but today we stopped for lunch so thought I should finally leave a review. Ordered burgers at the bartenders recommendation and they were REALLY good. Older bar and dark inside with a smoky scent yet no one was smoking but a great stop for lunch. The atmosphere is a bar/ sports bar, the food was decent nothing mind blowing. They had some good craft beers on tap only issue was the choice of glassware messed with the beers flavor. Being an Ohio resident the one thing I disliked mostly which made my rating a little lower was that people can smoke inside. If you can get past the smoking while you eat it's a mediocre sports bar with a better craft beer draft. read more

Took my daughter into the Gas Light for her first legal beverage at 21 on Saturday night. We had a party of 6 all dressed up coming from a wedding with my youngest daughter as a designated driver who is 18. My oldest daughter had on a flashing sash saying 21. Everyone was congratulating her and clapping. The not so friendly bartender ask for her ID which she proudly showed her. The bartender then asked for my youngest daughters ID. I explained she was 18 and our DD. The bartender then stated she would have to leave!! Well she left and so did all of us. Just wanted to thank the Gas Light for making my daughters first experience in a nite club not a good one and teaching them that it doesn't pay to have a designated driver!! We did visit another local establishment, were greeted with open arms, patrons buying drinks, singing and an all around great experience. I frequent the area quite often but will surely not be visiting the Gas Light. read more

Terrible. Got so sick from the food (or was it the filthy lines used for the keg beer?) that I probably should have gone to the hospital. Couldn't eat for over a week. I have yet to step foot in there again and I probably never will. Plus they allow smoking where you eat and I think thats kinda gross. read more
