Great German food and beer with a knowledgeable owner. We were told this place was "horrific" from a hotel employee, but we are sure glad we came! I would have appreciated if you likewise had taken the time to answer one of the two emails I sent to you through your website, regarding the issue of you overcharging my credit card - a matter which will now be transferred to my bank - but so be it. I am quite astonished that you try to hide your way out of our horrible experience at your gasthaus. I'm quite sure, with a little effort that you remember us, given the fact that we actually had a short, but nice conversation in German when we arrived. Your waiters/waitresses (yes, they were both female) took our order for bacon to be added to the burgers - you may call them kid sliders, it doesn't change things - but only after the burgers/sliders arrived after almost an hour, did she tell us that the bacon was sold out. The issue regarding the missing beverages and you overcharging my credit card - and I have the receipts to prove it - are also legit. Your excuses are just as poor as your gasthaus!!! read more

Our fish fry at camp got rained out, so we went into town to check out this German restaurant. OMG, we are so glad we did! The food, the service, and the beer were all excellent. The hosts were very personable, and we left with a special memory to add to our trip :) read more

A number of problems with this place. The server, while a very nice lady, did not know what was on the menu and could not understand the German names of the dishes. Thus everyone of our orders were wrong. As for the food, the schnitzel I had was ok, but my potato dumplings were ice cold and sitting in some cold greasy gravy. The other dines in my party had similar complaints. The family is supposed to be from Germany but their knowledge of German cuisine seems spotty at best. Very poor. read more

Pretty much what I was expecting from a German restaurant. The cheese curd appetizer was very good. I had the potato pancakes as an entree with spaetzel on the side. The pancakes were great! But I wish the spaetzel was better. I was also really hoping they had Sachertorte for dessert. I left a little disappointed that there wasn't any. read more

I did not eat here, but I planned to. I was traveling alone want wanted a seat at the bar, which was swings for seats, so I asked for a table. This was a busy Friday night in August. Yet know one was there. Two other tables. A child was acting as the host, when I joked about child labor laws, him or the teenager did not laugh or say anything. I was excepting a more upscale place. I have traveled to Germany and this restaurant served food as good as any I had in Germany! I had the pork schnitzel and spaetzel. My husband had bratwurst that he loved. This was terrible. I had the pork snitzel sandwich. It was so thin, more breading than pork. No flavor. My husband had the sampler platter(chicken) with a brat. Very disappointing! Paid $56.00 for our meal. Too expensive for the below par meal. We should have went to Dairy Queen! read more

This restaurant has the best German food I've had in forever. We went twice, once on the way to Yellowstone and once on the way back. I would give it 5 stars, but the second time we visited, the hostess Sarah, was very confused and taking on too many jobs. We waited to be sat and saw several tables that were cleaned and set, waiting for us (and the other people waiting), but she told us 4 times she'd "be right back" and instead starting running food to tables, or cashing people out, and there was a line behind us, just waiting to get on the list. We stood and watched for 10 or 15 minutes as tables were bussed and set, and Sarah ignored the people waiting in the front and instead opted to bring drinks or food out to tables without consulting the servers on hand. Samantha was a great server, we got our food in a timely manner, the food was amazing (we had Schniztel, Rouladen and Sauerbraten, also they have Spaten on tap), the restaurant is really cute, it was only the hostess (Sarah) that made me give four stars read more

Various problems. We had three orders of chicken cordon bleu with raw chicken. The owner tried to tell us it was the ham until she actually looked at it and saw the raw chicken. She said we wouldn't be charged for it, but then she left and the waiter only gave us 20% off. For 3 chicken cordon bleu, 2 pretzels, fries, and another chicken breast and 2 beers was $140. Not to mention, the waiters and waitresses had no idea who had what and they brought us extra beers that they also charged us for, because they were unorganized. There were 3 or 4 different waiters and waitresses that kept coming to our table, one asked if we wanted our check and we had not even got our food which took 2 hours, another would ask if we needed anything, another would check the status of the food, etc. They all were not communicating. As for the menu, there were kids taking orders that had no idea what kind of alcoholic beverages they had. Terrible service, food was raw, and will never go back with those prices for that quality. read more

The food is great! But I am not sure it made up for the worst service I have ever had! I was at my table for over an hour and my waitress came by 2 times. That is it!! Once to take my order (that she got wrong)! And once to deliver my food! When I needed something I had to flag down a different waitress (who was amazingly nice!). I sat for 20 minutes with my napkin on my plate and my drink sitting on the other side of the table hoping for a refill. And the hostess comes up and asks if I want the bill. Never asked if I needed or wanted anything just the bill! After I paid I told her what I thought of the service and her response was " I know service is bad today, we are busy". And then just walked away! No one cared! Even the owner did not care. He came around shortly after I got my food. Talked and joked with the table near me for a few minutes. Even spent a few minutes talking up their desserts. Then turned to leave and as an afterthought looked at me and said "all good?" I responded the food was great, but... and as I said but he called his hands said "great!" And walked away. read more

So my family and I were on a road trip and one stop was in Cody, we had to get food in an hour and a half to go to the rodeo and were originally going to go to a BBQ place down the street but they had a long wait time so we said wth and decided to eat at this place because we assumed it would be faster, Boy were we wrong, after we got seated it took 30 minutes for someone to finally take the order for just our drinks!!! After we got our drinks it took another 30 minutes for the guy to come back to take the order for our food. Finally, 45 minutes later our food came, and when it came, it didn't all come! My sisters food was somehow completely lost! And it never came!! Finally after waiting ages for the bill, being pissed off already, we simply wanted BBQ sauce from the guy, IT TOOK HIM 15 MINUTES TO BRING IT, WTF!!!! And when we also complained about my sisters food not coming he said sorry and said it would be on the house, being pissed off and in a hurry to get to the rodeo we were already late for, we quickly paid and drove to the arena, on the way there, guess what, THEY CHARGED US FOR MY SISTERS FOOD THAT NEVER CAME, the service at this place was a joke, don't eat here guys, (btw, we were 45 minutes late to the rodeo thx to these jerks) read more
