This place is pretty much smack in the middle of the park, so it gets a lot of attention. We ordered the egg bagel )which comes with a side of tater tots) and the apple doughnuts with caramel sauce. Delicious. All of it. They are quick to take your order but waiting for the food took a bit long. I recommend ordering online. The lady that took our order was not feeling very magical, if you know what I mean, but it was Thanksgiving Day, so maybe she was tired, or not wanting to work the holiday. This is becoming a great snack option for us at Magic Kingdom. On the most recent trip, we got the Not So Poison Apple Doughnuts - apple cider doughnut holes rolled in apple cider sugar and drizzled with caramel sauce. This is one of the best snacks I've had at Disney World, Definitely top 10! Unfortunately it is a seasonal option so probably won't be there on our next trip. As a counter service option, I recommend Mobile Order whenever possible but there wasn't a wait when we decided to try them. During peak meal times you will want to use the Mobile Order option. The only downside to this location is there is very limited seating which is shared with Storybook Treats. My friends and I stopped by Friar's Nook for a quick snack break while at Disney. Considering we were at a theme park, the prices were not awful. I ordered their Hot Dog and it came with Tots ($10.99). Things are like a production line. They take your money, and you stand to the side and wait for your order. Condiments and napkins are on the left side of the cashiers. I indulged in relish, ketchup, mayonnaise and mustard. I really like that it came with tots since it gave a crunchy texture to the over meal. Seating was a bit limited and cramped. Smaller tables so not convenient for large groups. This is one of those places that I have kept ordering from my last few Disney trips. Apparently I just can't stay away. This time, it was "The Wild Ride" that brought me to The Friar's Nook. "The Wild Ride" is described as a "frozen Wild sour cherry, blue raspberry and sour apple topped with whipped cream and a black licorice wheel" slushy. As soon as I got it I took one taste of the licorice wheel and promptly threw it in the trash. I'm just not a fan of black licorice, but I'm sure it's great if you are. Then it was time to drink the slushy, and I LOVED it. Beware: the sour cherry and sour apple are actually sour! So if that's not your thing this is definitely not for you. But for someone like me who loves that, it was great. All the flavors meshed well together and the whipped cream gave it a nice sweet touch. I loved it, and even debated getting another one the next day, but I had to control myself and walk away! While I was there I also got an order of "creamy bacon macaroni and cheese tots" with sour cream. If you like sour cream this is great. If you like sour cream, but not a lot do not get the sour cream or order it on the side because there was a lot of it!! These were a great midday snack to hold me over until our dinner reservations. I know I'll probably find myself back here during my next trip for a fun drink and some tater tots. read more

The seating is limited, so the mobile order is the way to go because you can find a seat while you wait for the food to be ready. This order took a bit longer than the others we placed this week but it was a late Saturday morning. The bacon cheddar ranch tots were the highlight of the meal, but as usual, they could've used a bit more cheese. The bagel sandwiches were not toasted and close to cold, we didn't need the extra tots, but we're glad we ordered them as they were the highlight of the meal. I didn't quite know what I felt like, but when I noticed that The Friar's Nook was offering up Sausage and Gravy Tots, I knew I had to try it. I ordered using the mobile ordering app and the food was ready for pickup within minutes. And, perhaps unsurprisingly, it was an almost intimidating amount of food. But it's so, so good. The freshly-fried tater tots are perfectly crispy and flavorful, and they're enhanced by a generous helping of delectable gravy. It's an extremely heavy dish, so I actually wound up throwing away about a third of it, but it was absolutely the perfect way to start our day. read more

Wanted to try Friar's Nook since we heard they did different things based with tots and after having the Totchos at Woody's Lunch Box in Epcot we figured this would be good as well and the prices were not bad either. I will say they do not hold up to Woody's. After waiting in line that moved very slow we ordered. We went with the Creamy Bacon Mac & Cheese Tatar Bites and the Loaded Buffalo Chicken Tatar Bites. Once we got our food I will say it don't look like the pictures posted. At first we didn't even think the Bacon Mac & Cheese Tatar Bites even had Mac & Cheese but turns out it did. The Load Buffalo Chicken Tots did not have a lot of Buffalo Chicken in in either but the Bleu Cheese on it was good. All and all everything was just OK. I must admit that I was excited by the reviews to visit Friar's Nook. I must also report my disappointment. We had Tater Tots, well I should say Tater Tot as they were stuck together. My wife's were not stuck together, in fact they were more of a hash brown then tots as the were like the leftover pieces covered in gravy. One of many quick service eateries around Magic Kingdom. Known for their unique mac n' cheese dishes, or at least they used to be. Mac n' cheese hits all the checkboxes for me: tasty, inexpensive, and filling. So coming to Disney, I knew I had to adjust my expectations, but wow I think they missed the mark completely. There's a good amount of seating and umbrellas to protect you from the elements. However, it rained the day we came, so it was difficult to get a table. The menu is simple, there aren't many options to choose from. The main dishes change frequently. They used to have mac n' cheese with blue cheese, pot roast, bacon, truffle, panko, and many more. There's also some breakfast items and hotdogs, which are more consistent. I got the Barbecue Chicken Macaroni & Cheese ($10.49), while my sister got the Macaroni & Cheese topped with Toasted Panko Bread Crumbs ($8.99). Portions were ehhh for the price. The macaroni and cheese by itself was very plain and boring. Kraft would've been better. I'm glad I ordered the chicken because the meat and vegetables added more flavor. Not something I would purchase outside the park. The Friar's Nook took a new direction back in 2018, pulling back popular menu items and introducing tater tot dishes. Eventually mac n' cheese returned (and mac n' cheese tater tots) but the current Creamy Bacon Macaroni & Cheese is such a weak alternative. The menu has been gutted several times over, and it's hard to recommend when things are ever changing. But the good news is that mac n' cheese can be found all over Walt Disney World! I would browse through the menus of other restaurants to get a better idea and stay up to date. Animal Kingdom had an awesome mac n' cheese with baked lobster and another with pulled pork. read more

This is precisely what my friends and I did - me personally getting a Lemonade Mickey Slush for $4.69. Now what makes a slushie a "Mickey Slush", you ask? ....the Mickey Mouse Mouse straw of course! haha It's a normal slushie but the straw is admittedly pretty cool. I kept it as a souvenir! The slushie was super sour and lemony just the way I like. Perfect cold treat to cool off from the heat. They don't have a ton of tables but we were able to snag one in a prime location.
