    Seafood burrito
    Anna N.

Delicious ! Stumbled upon this since we are staying nearby and wanted something to eat right away. This is not your typical Mediterranean to go restaurant. They have squid ink rice ! And octopus ! But on top of that everything was delicious! I had the seafood burrito and even took out sauce because of my allergies. Still delicious ! My boyfriend had the salmon plate and everything was seasoned well and just so good. Highly recommend!

i really liked my burrito! i got the northwest burrito because i love lamb and it did not disappoint. the flavors all went well together and i especially love that they use saffron rice. i kind of wish i got more vegetables but i didn't think to ask until after my food came. i would have liked it more if it was less greasy, but i still enjoyed it nonetheless. i also love how they toasted each side of the burrito so that i was slightly crispy. they served it to me at the table and i bussed it myself. the space is clean and its the perfect place to grab lunch!

Incredible flavor great service. I recommend this place to anyone in the Portland area and anyone traveling from out of town if you love great Mediterranean food.

Always receive amazing service from the staff here. They always seem upbeat and happy to be there. Ordered the chicken plate and lamb & beef gyro to-go. Food was very fresh and the fries are almost like the yellow arches but better flavor. Order was ready right on time. There are a few tables inside if you want to dine in. Parking around the building can be hard to find as this is located in NW Portland in Slabtown so plan ahead. Definitely think the gyro is the best.

Absolutely fng bomb! Chicken scallopini with extra jalapeño aioli, side salad w jalapeño aioli, chicken tortilla soup, hummus, squid ink rice, saffron basmati rice, and warm seasoned pita bread... mmmm!! Luce and her brother, Jesus are from Oaxaca and they put so much love into all their dishes! Yummy! Always can't wait to come back upon returning from travel!

Really great first impression. I went with the chicken plate. Hummus was good and had some great spicy kick. I loved the chicken & onion/tomato. It was $16 with tip, but that's what you're going to pay for lunch in Portland unless you go to a national chain. Will be back to try their gyro + more.

The beef/lamb gyro was delicious, tho smaller than the average gyro you see out there. The meat was tender, the bread was soft, and the fries were crispy. Everything just overall tasted very fresh. My wife had the chicken plate and it was equally delicious and the portions were very generous! I was expecting the typical Mediterranean food experience but this was definitely a step above that and at a good price. The staff was courteous and the space cozy. The kombucha on tap was also very nice. No doubt we will be back soon.

Traditional Dolmades Wrapped In Bacon $10.00

Used to be the chunkiest amount of octopus on a plate. Delish bacon wrapped grape leaves are always ordered. Garlicky hummus yummy. No indoor seating, only orders to-go. Service is mediocre knowing they always get a lunch rush regardless of friendliness. During the spring to fall, a couple tables outside shaded by the building. Area still susceptible to sketchy passerbys.

    Bacon Omelette

The country fried steak was tasted old. Breading was kinda dusty. It was crispy but when bitten into, it broke apart. The bacon omelette saved the review. Loved it.

No parking so ordered to go. Tried chicken scapallini and it was pretty good. Reasonably priced.

    Octopus Salad

The Octopus Salad was a hit and I will absolutely be coming back! I walk by this spot fairly often but never thought to stop by. A coworker suggested we go for lunch and our team went. There is a lot on the menu! The options are great. There is a lot of variety. I feel like you cannot go wrong. I was really drawn to the octopus so I ordered the salad. The octopus was a generous portion and cooked to perfection! The salad was great. The squid ink rice was so good! I loved the bread that was included. Service was amazing. We didn't wait too long and our orders were bagged together even though we paid separate. The inside is very snug and might not accommodate groups, but 2-3 could likely dine together. Not enough room for the 5 of us though. I will absolutely be back! I tried some of the chicken rice bowl and I need to get that too.

Love this place!!! It's one of the best hidden gems in Portland. Bring your appetite because this place does not skimp in quantity. In fact, quality is far up there as well. I typically order their fish tacos, which, in my opinion, some of the best fish tacos you'll find in town and for a very fair price to top. Today, I ordered their seafood plate. It consists of salmon, tina, octopus, and shrimp over squid ink rice with a side of hummus, pita, and a salad. I was not disappointed. This is good eating.

Located at 68th and Glisan, the restaurant has been introduced to the community slowly over the last few months. The owners are currently doing catering and producing prepackaged deli style food for sale elsewhere, but they've also opened their doors to the public on the weekends. Apparently, the intention is to open for extended hours in early November when they'll operate from Wednesday through Sunday. I've only sampled Tusi's Deli Creation dishes sold for prepackaged takeout, but the chicken half moon pie and round pancakes (Panikeke) are so fresh and packed with flavor, I can't wait to visit this weekend to try more! I'll amend my review when I do. In the meantime, the deli is building quite a social media following where they show off some of their dishes, and make announcements about hours, etc. I highly suggest you check them out before they get so popular they begin selling out of inventory!

I called ahead to make sure this wasn't a fluke and the guy answered and reassured me they did indeed have COOKED Samoan food! I got fish, mamoe, muli pipi, with rice and taro. Let me tell you, I don't even think I chewed for the most part. HAHAHA. The food was warm, delicious ,and a comforting in the way that only food from "home" can comfort you. They for sure have blessed hands in the kitchen. I didn't try any of the baked goods or the deserts. But they're an option that I am fully going to take advantage of next time! The majority of the sandwiches contain meat, so I would not recommend this for vegans or pescatarians. Jim was delicious and I consumed both halves of Jim flawlessly. Either hunger overruled me, or the sandwich was that satisfying. I do recommend the shop, but with limited options for non-meat eaters, I truthfully would rate Lottie and Zulas, 4.5. Because the food was so damn good. Look - I'm going to start off by saying I grew up practically on The Hill. Out here, you'll have to Google it (make sure to add 'RI' to the search or you'll get some political BS), but back east, "alls you's have ta say" was those two words and anyone would know you knew your Italian, food and otherwise. There isn't anything on this coast that vaguely compares to The Hill's food, but walking into and biting out of Geraldi's was having a little piece of home. There's this little shop in the old town where the owner knew your voice when you called to order... you'd walk in, and you heard "hey cousin!" whether you were or not, and that's the vibe you get from Geraldi's. The food is much the same - you get something that looks like Nonna was at the range all day with her sauce (it's not gravy - no meat) and you came home looking like you haven't eaten in weeks: "I'm gonna fatten you up before you leave" and you walked out the door with a sub (sandwich, that is - not a submarine) that weighed the same as a newborn. We got three of those babies: a Chicago Beef (seal of approval from the orderer - only 'complaint' was that they had to eat it all in one day because the bread was quote too soggy to make it to lunch the next day - travesty), an Italian sausage (just as delicious when 1/2 was reheated the next day) and a Chicken Parmeroni (I thought somehow even better when 1/2 was reheated the next day) and I could have absolutely gone back the next day if it weren't for A. the leftovers 2/3 of us had and B. the meal planning we'd done for the week. I also grabbed a side of giardiniera because I will get it anytime I see it available and I inhaled it - I need to know if I can by it by the vat instead of the side cups because it too was similar to what I can find at home (about practically nowhere out here) and amazing!! I'm still upset I didn't take pictures though!

My wife ordered the Aunt Tillie's Club, which she saw online and was the impetus for our visit, whereas I waffled between the tuna melt and the Aunt Tillie's Special (basically a grinder), eventually settling on the latter. Both of us were in heaven: sizeable portions, fresh bread, just enough condiments, and plenty of toppings to go around! My wife thought she was going to have to take a least half of it home, then changed her mind and powered through, leaving nothing behind! We dined just outside the restaurant proper, on one of the patio tables in the "mall", but there is plenty of seating inside (just not enough to accommodate the rush, it seems), plus a quaint little pub at the back that is easy to miss, but adds another layer to an already charming sandwich shop. We were both so impressed by the entire experience, that we are guaranteed to return, likely sooner than later! Very recommended!
