I realized she was trying to diagnose me and told her I was here for preventative procedure, and I wasn't authorizing any diagnoses. I received a bill for diagnostics and my preventative procedure turned into a diagnostic colonoscopy with a $4000 price tag. I canceled the procedure and questioned the bill for what should have been a preventative pre-screening. One of the office staff, Irene, listened to me and worked with the office to get the coded corrected to diagnostic. The billing dept has refused to make the change. Irene is an angel who really attempted to help and to correct the error. This place is all about overbilling and fraud. I will be reporting them to the State Insurance Commissioner. STAY AWAY!

I was told (and it was noted in their system, and recorded via audio) that I only had to pay a copay of $20. That turned into a $250+ bill -- which I am now having to pay a year later. So -- unless you are okay with a mystery bill (which you will have to pay), I would strongly recommend going to a place with better billing practices. I'm not the only review stating this. It looks like a pattern, unfortunately.

She said she will transfer me to appointment line, ( why she can't gives me a simple answer?) I got transfer to main calling system, go through whole waiting thing again, get answers by automatic system again, left my information / call back number again, few hours later someone call me back but hanging up right away!!! I had a virtual appointment on Friday afternoon. They were running 30 minutes behind, which I don't ever mind if a provider gives me the time I need. They did do that. The PA was supposed to call in medication and an order to Fairfax Radiology. Well I call the pharmacy to see if it was ready and they never received the prescription. I then call Fairfax Radiology to set up an appointment and they have no order. Of course all of this on a Friday afternoon before the weekend. I didn't want to page a dr over the weekend even though I didn't feel well, so I sent them a message through their portal system. The lady who responded said they sent them on Friday. That may or may not be true, I don't know, but there was an issue somehow because two independent facilities told me they hadn't received them. I then call to get a f/u scheduled this morning. The receptionist could not figure out how to book an appointment for the provider I had seen. I was on the phone with her for 15 minutes with her trying to figure it out. After 15 minutes of trying she then tells me she has to put me on hold while she can figure it out. After waiting 10 more minutes and her not returning, I finally hung up. It shouldn't be this difficult to schedule an appointment. I then call back to try and talk to someone else and get an appointment scheduled and they ask me to leave a message, that they'll call me back. I haven't heard from them yet. It shouldn't be this hard to get an appointment scheduled and medication/orders sent. Especially when you don't feel well. You can look at my reviews. I generally don't like to give poor ones, and have previously been very happy with this practice. In my experience their providers are very knowledgeable, empathetic, and accurate in their diagnosis. The lady I saw Friday was no exception to that. It is the way the office runs that seems to be the issue. My recent experience with them is the way the office is run has changed and they're difficult to deal with. My hope is they can rectify this because if not, I will be looking for another practice.

My main issue is billing. I was charged a $150 co-pay and my EOBs state I owe nothing. I have been chasing down my refund for months (and have made no progress). They have joined GastroHealth and outsourced their billing to a company who is obviously based in India and it's a nightmare. At this point, I would highly recommend looking elsewhere.

    This place is an absolute disgrace. I've spent two full…read moremonths trying to get a basic colonoscopy appointment--and I still don't have one. I've gone through two separate primary care doctors just to get the referral--both were approved by my insurance. I've filled out piles of paperwork, completed their long online questionnaires, and submitted every document they asked for. Despite doing everything right, they still won't schedule the appointment. Every time I call to follow up (which I've had to do over and over), they come up with some new excuse to delay or deny my care. First, they said they needed to contact my pulmonologist. What if I didn't even have one? Then they demanded EKG results from the past six months--what if I've never had an EKG? Are they going to deny me care for that too? It's obvious they're inventing hoops for patients to jump through just to cover themselves. I've had major medical procedures in the past that never required this level of documentation or bureaucracy. What they're doing is not just frustrating--it's outright denial of care. I even got my insurance company on a three-way call with them to confirm everything was approved, and the insurance rep told them directly that I was cleared to proceed. They still refused to schedule the appointment. To top it all off, their call center is outsourced to the Philippines, staffed with people who barely speak English, are rude, untrained, and totally incompetent. There is zero follow-up, no accountability, and no one actually trying to help the patient. This is healthcare at its absolute worst. Avoid this office like the plague. If you value your time, your sanity, or your health--go somewhere else.
