Gastwirtschaft Steman offers traditional Viennese cuisine in an old-school, classic restaurant setting. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, with decor and furniture that are reminiscent of a traditional neighborhood corner restaurant. The service was attentive and made us feel right at home.
We chose a variety of traditional dishes, including their beef bouillon with liver dumplings; pan-fried beef liver with parsley potatoes; pan-fried blood sausage with onions, fried potatoes, and horseradish; Käsespätzle (spätzle with cheese and bacon); and Martini Gansl (offered during early November per tradition), which is roasted duck with potato dumplings and red cabbage. Every dish was excellent, showcasing authentic Viennese flavors at their best.
Highly recommended for anyone wanting to experience classic Viennese cuisine in a truly traditional setting. read more
