The terminal(s) are (slowly) undergoing some renovations and half of southern California seems to be here, so some things never change. LVG still has plenty of cheesy gambling opportunities, because what better place to separate yourself from your wallet than an airport in the desert? Cash can be had to feed the lighty-uppy machines, so if you have the time and the urge, then by all means, spin away! Vegas has been growing for the past couple of decades, stealing sportsball franchises and erecting fancy new buildings (that Sphere, though), but the airport is still crowded and the food lines still spill out into the concourses. So, maybe once the federal funds overrun and the terminals get streamlined, then efficiency will rule the day. But not today. Lastly, gawd do I hate anything Raiders, so seeing Raider-wear en masse just grinds my gears. The Raiders are like that ex- that has been with all the cool others (LA, then Oak-town, back to LA, then Oak-town again) but jilts angry lovers in favor of greener pastures. And what better pasture to get green than Vegas? Yeesh, you can have 'em. Doesn't matter what city claims these rapscallions, they're still the Raiders and I hope they enjoy last place (like they have so often in recent years). It's Vegas, baby. What happens here, should definitely stay here.

I always get a little frustrated when I have to travel through this airport. Coming here is not a…read morebig issue but getting to the rideshare is always a challenge. It's pretty cool because at the rideshare platform area they always have about two or three Vegas showgirl posted up and they do giveaways like little bags and trinkets that say welcome to Las Vegas. That's the cool part. But the hump just to get upstairs to the rideshare area is a little frustrating because it's not very traveler friendly if you have bags. This airport has a lot of slot machines and it can get a little old every time you have to walk through it because it's smoky. On the way back to leave this airport that's the biggest challenge. You are often dropped off at a rideshare taxi or shuttle area that is across the street from the entrance of the actual airport. So you have to lug all of your bags across two crosswalks just to get into the terminal. Then you have to go through a very unorganized TSA. The TSA pre-check was a brutal experience for me this time and I only had a one carry-on bag and a checked bag. The terminal is very dated and they do have an area where they try to preserve some nostalgia. I did appreciate and liked that they honored the aviators in one of the long cement hallways. Once you get into the terminal, there are only two places that you can eat if you're flying out on Southwest. The sandwich deli is what I chose. There's also a store and the store was really not the best experience as none of the cashiers were available to check people out. I went over to the self checkout, and the 1 cashier had to step away from her area to sign me in to do self checkout. It would be nice if they could update their airport because it can be a little bit depressing leaving. Doesn't really make you wanna come back after flying out in this terminal. If you're looking for a place just to come in and then leave with nothing special at the airport. This is the place for you as a traveler. If you need to be in an airport, where you are there for a few hours or have a layover, this may not be the place for you as a traveler.

No easing in--just BAM... welcome to 24/7 gambling, baby. This airport runs like a well-oiled roulette wheel. Efficient. Efficient. Efficient. Lines move, bags show up, and somehow you're from gate to curb before you can even finish checking your phone. And the lights--oh, the lights. Bright, bold, unmistakably Vegas. It's like the Strip sent a welcome party right into the terminal. But the real MVP? Slot machines everywhere. Not "a few tucked in the corner." I'm talking you could miss your flight chasing a hot streak if you're not careful. Need a quick snack? Done. Need a ride? Easy. Need to test your luck before you even hit the hotel? Already handled. There's something oddly perfect about landing in a city built on chance... and being invited to play before you even grab your luggage. Final verdict: Fast. Bright. Slightly dangerous for your wallet (in the best Vegas way). This airport doesn't just get you in and out-- it reminds you exactly where you are the second you arrive.

When hubby was checking, for me, it was about $40 to the airport, for an uber, from any location. I was also checking the other options, which was "Economy parking" and a limited parking area with only 100 spots (*take the bus over for $2 ea direction). TIP: if you pay at the kiosk on the way out, you can save on the extra fee for parking, two or three dollars. So, we had to fly out for a funeral, recently, in CA, but the best option was to park in Long term parking (which ended up being $54 for over three days- fri/sat/sun, Nov 17-19, our flight got in after midnight). Since it was really late, it wasn't very busy to exit, which was also good for us. It was easy to find. Well, I took a picture of where we parked, and it was big yellow SUV, so it was double easy to find.

WELP, that was not the case today. I am a frequent travel. This would be my 3rd flight this week and so I know where to park with no problem. Today, I drove up and then saw that Long Term parking was full and to go to Terminal 3. As there was no additional signs, drove up to valet parking and it was full as well. The FULL sign was not even close to the ramp you drive up, it's more inside and was hard to see if you were driving by. I had to think fast of what to do next. I did another loop and ended up in Short Term parking. It did not state it was full so I went in. I circled every single floor to even the ground floor and nothing was available, not one parking stall was available. Now, I am pushing 8:15am and was getting so nervous. I finally had to leave and go to Terminal 3 to park, shuttle over. Terminal 3 is not my usual terminal. There's no one there to really direct you to where to easily park and to the the 2nd level and walk the bridge over to the main bldg, go downstairs and outside and look for the inter-terminal orange sign for the shuttle to take you back to Terminal 1. By the time I finally go to the long term parking and found a spot, I got out of the car and realized I parked far from the bridge to walk over to the main bldg. When I fly back on Monday evening, it will be a bit of time to go to my car as I am flying back to Southwest in Terminal 1. I really thought I was going to miss my flight. Luckily I had TSA precheck as I got shuttled back and got to my gate while they were boarding the B group. I was so nervous i was shaking. I was sweaty because I was running from the shuttle drop off to running to Security and to my gate. I am not the only one, I saw so many cars that were in the same situation, driving around to find no parking. Honestly, all this running/driving around and stress can be so avoided if the Parking FULL sign/signs would be placed as we were entering the ramp to the parking areas. It was such a waste of time that no one was around to even direct and tell us or answer questions. So frustrating that everything was full on Terminal 1! I really suggest better communications and signage up in advance of customers driving UP to the entrance to the parking areas to find out.

My experience on Southwest in Las Vegas was a bit disappointing. I was a little disappointed that I literally had the resort weight my luggage, prior to departure, and it was under the limit for 50 pounds. However, when I arrived at the airport, the Southwest Sky Cap at curbside suddenly told me that I was 5 pounds over the weight limit. I found this to be untrue and absolutely a SCAM. I continued to tip the sky cap, on Venmo, because that's the right thing to do, and I had to pay $100 for the luggage 5lb overage. Again, I believe this was a scam as the resort literally weighed my luggage prior to me departing. At the time that it was weighed, prior to my departure, it weighed 48 pounds so I highly doubt that suddenly between the resort and getting to the airport in the rideshare, that my luggage gained 7 pounds. Otherwise, Southwest is a convenient and great option to fly in and out of Las Vegas from San Diego into San Diego. In consideration of my experience with the Southwest sky cap, scamming me out of luggage weight fees, I went ahead and gave a total Southwest 2 stars.

If I ever have a flight issue I just complain and usually the airline assesses my claim and gifts me a voucher in return. Tonight I'm on an overnight flight to the east coast and it has 1 layover! Flight was delayed by an hour or so. Thank GOD it wasn't delayed by 1 day like my last flight I took in October 2025. They do gift us hotel voucher and Lyft credit as well as a full refund if we need it... It was a hassle tho. I had to cancel business trip due to that delay. The pilot was stuck somewhere and we only could on the flight the next day. I was so exhausted because they had us wait for about 5-6 hours for the pilot to never show.. Otherwise, smooth flights. Just make sure to take ur snacks and drink with you, otherwise I don't have many complaints of this airline. Always know their terms, which aren't as nice as southwest, but similar to frontier. Usually flights can be super cheap like $66 as a low flight price... probably even less expensive if you book downstairs in the airport otherwise this flight was kinda pricy for spirit! I got a window seat tho! Downloaded some Netflix movies, and or I will just sleep through! Said my prayer and were about to take off LATE! Anyways once we're in the air, it's overrrrrrr, we're almost there! NOW, what I think airlines should improve, is the way we all exit the airplane. They don't give instructions. We all just get up and leave but orchestrating that at times can be messy. Passengers get so mad if you try to get off the plane before them! Like, I mean, not everyone has a carry on, so we can just walk past the ppl who need extra time to gather their bags! I wish they had 2 exits or 3 exits! That's the next level of airplane experiences, I think they need to build airplanes with a nice exit system. WWW.SPIRITWIFI.COM (A way to see the flight coverage while on the flight)

I had to cancel my trip but asked for a credit to use for a future flight. They do not honor credits or full refunds on tickets less than 250. I was charged 100% for my cancellation meaning all my money I paid 2 days ago was taken with no consideration or courtesy's of a credit for future flights to keep us as a customer. I escalated the call to a supervisor only to be told I would have needed to call with 24 hours from my original booking to be given any consideration. Supervisor Judy 361534 employee number. Explained our daughter college athlete was going to surgery and we needed to cancel as we need to go sooner. They have medical exceptions but you must provide documents and if they approve only then would you receive a credit. In my spare time recovering our daughter will we play this game. Btw the airline has 18 days before our flight was booked plenty of time to just issue credit to be used in the future. We were told no. This is not customer service this is robbery. Needless to say my family will no longer fly this airline which we had used in the past. We fly 5 adults each month often.
