    Doughy pizza

My nephew's football team came here to eat right after his game to celebrate. Customer service is not good, older woman at counter wasn't nice and seemed to be overwhelmed after taking the first two orders. They're under staffed, food took over an hour to come out. Every pizza ordered came out different; taste varied by pizza and the amount of time they cooked them for obviously varied. Some pizzas were soft and squishy and others nicely crisped as expected from a place like this. Tables were dirty and sticky, numbers given to you for your order are visibly dirty as well. Won't be coming back here at all. For being the main place for food in this small town, they don't take service or food quality very seriously at all. Very disappointed.

Great place fir a personal pizza and salad during the work week and reasonably priced. Clean and worth the stop!

I have seen The Gatehouse Pizza place while driving through Pleasant Hill for literally years thinking I should stop in and give them a shot but just never have so today I glanced up and there it was again so I thought, it's now or never... let's do it!! When I first walked through the doors it seemed to be completely deserted, no one there at all, anywhere. Then I heard some clanking and clattering going on in the back and felt a little better about it all. I stood there at the counter for a few minutes looking over the menu and when I made my decision I rang the bell they had sitting there on the counter and without any delay, out came a girl with a big smile on her face and took my order. I went for a small Hunter's Special and an IPA and went and had a seat. The Hunter's Special had Canadian Bacon, Salami, Pepperoni, Linguica, Sausage & Beef and was actully pretty darn good. When I eat pizza, out of habit, I never eat the outside edges of the crust. I figure, why fill up on all the hard, crunchy stuff, I would much rather go for all the good stuff in the middle where the crust if soft. But at Gatehouse Pizza I ate the whole darn thing. It wasn't crunchy around the edges at all. I guess if I had to complain about anything it would be the sauce could have been a little more tomatoey. But that could be just me. I would defiantly pay them to try some of the other items on the menu such as the Chicken Strips, Chicken Wings or maybe a Burger. Who knows, they defiantly had plenty of options to try out. I did notice that the dining area was super clean, the tables were all wiped down, the floor swept up nice, and behind the counter was orderly and laid out efficiently. And the bathroom was clean and well stocked. The soap dispenser was broken and being held together with tape but it still worked well enough, I bet it's on their list of things to get fixed. All in all, I would say that Gatehouse Pizza is a great little small town pizza place well worth stopping trying out.

This pizza place isn't bad but the prices are super high for what it is. It's worth driving the extra few minutes and going into town.

Great pizza and small town atmosphere. Always super friendly and accommodating. Fast service, pool table, small arcade.

Food is not bad, always made to order and hot but the recipes need a bit of work. Okay version kind staff, cleanliness is 3 star average.

Our side of crinkle fries were just the right amount of crispy and hot, and I think we ate every fry.

So needless to say, I was excited when the original owner's kids came back and turned it into My Boys. I came in here for dinner with my husband over the weekend. It had been many years since I've enjoyed their pizza, and it was like coming home, if that makes sense. There is always a sense of nostalgia when you eat something you love from childhood. There are certain restaurants that do the same thing for my husband, so he knew I wanted to go here. Their menu and taste reminds me of Roaring Rapids Pizza, and that isn't a bad thing. We ordered a medium pizza and my husband's half was some kind of meat combination. I forget the actual name. I picked mushroom and sausage for my half. Plus we decided to do the salad bar. The salad bar is impressive. There are more choices than just the basic average salad bar, and the one time through addition to our pizza was perfect for both of us. It is rare that my husband will order a salad on his own accord, but that salad bar was calling his name. Staff is friendly and helpful when needed. Although our order was pretty straightforward, so they really didn't have to do anything special. But they were still great. I love that they have plenty of space for kids, and TVs to watch sports on while we ate. It is such a great local family-oriented restaurant. It is a very relaxed and fun place to enjoy a meal. Would I return? Of course! I've sent my husband down to Creswell specifically for food more than once. I will gladly do it again. Lol. But really, they totally deserve a return trip. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back in the near future.

We got a large pizza with 2 different types. (Chicken, bacon, ranch & pepperoni, Canadian bacon,…read moreand beef) We also got a 6 piece buffalo wing. The crust coulda been cooked a bit longer was a tad soft-and the cheese was not fully melted so was kinda a thick blob of stringy unmelted cheese. The wings were okay but lacked enough sauce. I've had their pizza a few times years ago and remember it being better. A friend mentioned it the other day so we decided to get it while in town. I don't know that we will be making the trip again anytime soon. Just not a great experience this time unfortunately!

The pizzas and salad we had were top tier. Locally sourced ingredients perfectly prepared. I'll be back to try the rest. You order at the counter and pick up your drinks right away. They were really helpful with our questions since it was our first time. someone is bringing the drinks up to you as soon as you order. Within minutes of choosing a table our freshly prepared salad was already there. A few minutes later our pizzas were delivered. Keep note to maybe let the pizza sit a couple minutes because they are piping hot! Even if you aren't hungry, come here for the beers and craft cocktails. There are a lot of great breweries in Eugene and this is one of them. I took the bartenders suggestion and it was really good. Many options in Eugene and this one should be on your list.

However, the crust was way too thin toward the middle of the pizza to even hold the toppings. It just flopped over. It was maybe a mm thick?? Toward the outer half of the circle, the dough was good consistency and quite delicious. The arugula salad was nice. With some orange slices and lots of cubes of beets, pickled red onions and sunflower seeds. Too much oil in the lemon vinaigrette IMO since it all tasted a bit oily. The beers were excellent. Service good (order at counter and they will bring it to you). Parking in the neighborhood, a bit sketchy.
