With it being a Saturday and already after noon, my husband looked for a place to get the air conditioning of our Odyssey looked at. He looked online and found that this place was opened and closed @ 5pm. No call, just drove over. My husband walked over to the open garage. Right away, one of the men working on a car asked what he could help him with. He was told to pull the van over and evaluated it. Unfortunately, it was what was suspected. We needed a new ac compressor. Fortunately, there was one in stock. Two cars ahead of us, work could still be done that day at a very reasonable price, lower than expected. We agreed, especially since we didn't think any other place could beat the price. Simply impressed with the whole experience and the work done, all before the shop closed. Will be going to this shop if I ever need automotive repairs. I was referred to Frank from Pro Lube because of a failed smog. FIRST TIME EVER. I have never had a problem with my 2007 Honda so did not ever need a mechanic. I was referred here by Mark at, Pro Lube on Tully Rd. He wrote the part number on his card and sent me to Frank. Went to Frank at Gateway and gave him the card. He pulled up the part and ordered it and said he would have it in 2 days. I went to have it installed and it took 10-15 minutes. If I had not been referred there I don't know if I would have gone in-It is an auto repair shop and looks and smells like it. But I just felt that he was trustworthy and I felt safe. I have taken my car here two times and both times I have been very pleased. The location could be better but the service and honesty is 5star hands down. They inspected my car for free and gave me the most reasonable quote to get my car fixed. They fixed it the same day and the next time I took it I had no clue what was wrong w my car. Seemed to be a big problem but they told me it was something super simple that they were not gonna charge me. However, sing they had spent time on my car already I decided to get an oil change anyways. Will definitely return when I need it. read more

Another 5 star review! I was skeptical by the lack of a single negative review but these guy's are the real deal. I took my subaru here to fix a creaking sound coming from the rear. They put it on the lift right away for me on my lunch break and identified the problem (dry sway bar bushing). Said I could replace it or they could spray some kind of lubricant on it and see if that quieted it. If not I could come back and they'll replace the part. 30 minutes and $0 later I'm out the door. A great mechanic with fair prices. I had a car that needed smog work. I took this car to two places and after they looked at it. One told me to take it to the dealer, and the other one did not want to touch it. I had a problem, and I did not want to take it to the dealer. I went to Gateway Automotive, and I talked to Frank.
