The staff was super attentive and nice and what's crazy I ended up at the second bar towards the back because it was closer to our table. The young man whom was tending bar that night looked all of 18 but he was a master craftsman at concocting cocktails and super knowledgeable about drinks. He was very professional and quite nice. We were a "COVID Couple" that had originally planned to get married in May with 100+ guests, but…read morewhen quarantine rolled around, we made the difficult decision to move our date to September and cut our guest list to below 50. Through the whole process, Orlando's was right there with us with compassion, love, and understanding. They bent their own rules by doing away with their standard minimum guest count, still honored the per person price, gave us a partial refund and credit towards goods and services for the big day. This was totally above and beyond what we would have expected for any business in an industry hit extremely hard by the pandemic, they took the loss in fairness to us and that right there tells you the integrity of the business in extremely tough times. If that was how the story ended, that would be enough to give a 5 star review. But the wedding weekend absolutely blew us away and far exceeded our expectations. We booked out the majority of the rooms at the Lodge at Grant's Trail (owned by Orlando's), hosted our rehearsal dinner at the lodge, and had our reception at Orlando's. I would recommend this trifecta for any couple looking for a great place to host the wedding weekend. The lodge is a perfect Airbnb feel, with the privacy and convenience of a hotel room (having private bathrooms is nice). We had the entire lodge to ourselves that weekend which allowed us to have a central location for all of our family and friends to hang out before and after the official start times of our weekend events. The Mary Lincoln and Abe Lincoln room were perfect for bride/groom separated sleeping the night before and big suite on wedding night. The included breakfast is cooked to order and served as if you were at a restaurant. The venue space worked perfectly for a rehearsal dinner and allowed everyone to safely walk to their rooms after the party instead of having to drive. The lodge is a MUST add-on to the wedding weekend when booking at Orlando's. Did I mention it's walking distance to Orlando's event center?? Huge plus. Our reception was at Orlando's event center and it was everything we had hoped for and more. First of all, the room itself was beautifully decorated and was the perfect amount of space. They have three separate rooms in the event center, separated by air walls, which to be honest was a big concern for me going into it. I thought you might be able to hear everything going on the next room over, but never heard anything from the other rooms the whole night. The prices are a great value compared to everywhere else we looked (and we looked at a lot of places). Finally and most importantly, the staff there was incredible and put the icing on the cake of a perfect weekend. We ended up having Sam Orlando Jr. as our wedding coordinator and his customer service was EXCELLENT. Always willing to work with us and always went above and beyond to make us feel special and to ensure we had the most perfect weekend. From the top down, everyone on the staff was personable, friendly, attentive, and willing to go the extra mile to make sure we felt special. Carol was a crowd favorite and Timmie the bartender even sent us a handwritten note after we got home from our honeymoon. The staff and the service are the reasons we will be returning to Orlando's for future gatherings and parties and why we would recommend anyone to book with Orlando's for their wedding weekend.

I agree with the other reviewers, the event space is really beautiful, modern, and well laid out. When you walk in off the elevator, you cross the dance floor and then the very long bar with plenty of high top cocktail tables, circular settees, and cute swings. Since this is an event space, there were no barstools at the actual bar, which is fine. The restrooms are also located at the end of the bar and the Women's restroom was modern and clean. We had four bartenders and they were all very sweet. The pours were not measured out in shot glasses, but they were nice pours. The cocktails were basic, such as margarita, whiskey sour, wines, etc. Our bartender did not know how to make a lemon drop martini. Entering the ballroom/dining area, you are struck by the sparkly, curtain chandeliers. They really are striking. I couldn't stop looking at them LOL!Our dinner was set up with large round tables of 10 seats each. The bread basket contained pretzel rolls and regular bread rolls and they were good, but nothing special. I loved the presentation of the butter which was a really pretty swirl. I ordered the scallops that came with sautéed spinach and I couldn't put my finger on what was mixed with the sautéed spinach but it was really good. The scallops were sitting in a light orange colored sauce and I don't know what that was either but it was delicious and the scallops were a bit small, but cooked very well. Others enjoyed their steaks with sautéed spinach & potato wedges. The chicken Parmesan was served with roasted broccoli and the huge chicken breast was so large, no one finished it. The broccoli was plain and dry and not very well received. Oh, I forgot to mention the salad which had apple chunks & crispy sweet potato haystacks on top - it was really delicious. For dessert our options were hibiscus mousse with a hibiscus macaron or a chocolate shell which was filled with whipped cream and strawberries. Both were super yummy! The wait staff had to encourage us all to leave the dining room after dinner to go back out to the bar area and the upstairs area so they could clear the tables. The upstairs area is just a long hallway with high top tables overlooking the floor below, and access to the rooftop with lounge seating, high tops & fire pits. There was a beautiful view of a suspension bridge, but I don't know the name of it. I spent the most of the evening on the rooftop since it was so nice outside and the DJ was super loud inside. I would recommend this venue. It's suited for very large parties and weddings, it's just really far from St. Peters. I would like to give kudos to the wait staff and bartenders, the service was excellent and everyone had big smiles on their faces. It was a fun night! I normally take tons of pictures but since this was a corporate event, I was too uncomfortable to do so. it was a struggle. I really really wanted to take photos of the food. LOL! Sorry!

Our event planning classmate ended up taking a HUGH amount of leftovers which went to several church luncheons the next dahy. The wait staff was incredibly helpful but inobtrusive. The event was held in a borrowed space so when she asked us to hold onto their equipment for days because they had a bigger event, we let her know that we were unable to do that due to the fact that we only had access to the room that day. She left us no choice stating that no one would be available to pick it up that day. That's right--we had to pack up all their equipment and move their stuff ourselves to our office space. Unplanned. Unfair. Unprofessional. When we requested a small $200 refund, it wasn't really about the money--it was about them understanding the principle and the inconvenience they caused. A simple, sincere apology would have gone a long way. Instead, Andrew Murray made dismissive and insensitive comments, implying our frustration was "a lot of work" and that he doesn't pay staff for that at this price. We felt disrespected, and it overshadowed the entire event. If you care about customer service and respect, look elsewhere. Good food isn't enough when the team treats paying customers like an afterthought.
