I wake up at 4:30am every morning to walk the dog before work and then exactly 5am, I get into my car in the garage and leave for work. The installation was good. It was over shadowed by installing the wrong doors. We replaced the doors on our rental property. When trying to get them replaced, the workman said he would replace them once someone else order the same doors. He just kept putting us off. He had our money and never intended to replace the doors. I'd say all the 5 star reviews are justified. My garage door is something I generally think very little about...until it breaks, of course. So when a tension cable on my door came unhooked and left my door lopsided and unable to close on a Sunday evening, I was in a bind. I placed a service request that evening through my home warranty company. I was assigned a different company on Sunday night. I heard from that company early Monday morning but unfortunately, they couldn't make it out until the next day. I couldn't leave my house with a half opened garage door. I found Gateway in our neighborhood Facebook page as someone recommended Adam. Boy, am I glad they did. I found his website and learned I could text him. Sent a text at 6:35 am. Adam responded in about an hour to say he could definitely help. Told me he would be to my home between 9-10 that morning. Guess what? He showed up when he said he would. He surveyed the problem, got his tools and went to work. Within about a half hour, Adam had my door fixed and door opener running quieter and more smoothly than before he came. I was a little aggravated that he could accomplish his good work in such a short amount of time after I'd spent hours trying to fix it myself. Thankfully, I didn't harm myself or anything else with my DIY effort. Adam proved to me there is no substitute for hiring professionals. Adam of Gateway Garage Door did a beautiful job of replacing the nearly 60-year old garage door on a house I recently purchased. In the consult, he was knowledgeable about options, and he offered to repair the disconnected garage-door opener as part of the service. To tell the truth, I was skeptical that the opener could be fixed, but Adam gave it his best effort, spending more than an hour on it before learning that the previous owner's "repairs" had damaged the opener irrevocably.
