For years, my grandmother shopped there, my mother shopped there, and honestly everybody I knew shopped there. It was one of my grandmother's favorite stores, so Publix has always felt special and familiar to me. Everyone is always so friendly, the food is delicious, and their bakery... oh my goodness, the Key lime pies are AMAZING! I was so excited when Publix opened in Boone. Every time I visit my family in North Carolina, I buy four Key lime pies to fly home to Connecticut with me. The bakery staff is always so kind and helpful. They leave the pies in the bakery boxes instead of putting them in the plastic pie containers they normally sell them in, which actually makes them much easier and safer to travel with. I use a pie carrier bag, and they always make it so easy. Wonderful customer service every single time!

Being that was July 3, no one would even talk to us to get these documents signed before the holiday. We brought our documents dd with us to NC in hopes we would find some kind, willing, souls to help us close on one house. Over the weekend, I reached out to a few notaries, realtor offices, and even attorneys. That have us a few leads but nothing definite. My dad recommended we try Fred's- "they have and do everything! We arrived mid day Monday and the manager stopped what he was doing to notarize our documents, even asking those managing the front desk to sign as witnesses. We are ever so thankful this is done!
