Extraction didn't hurt and she explained everything she was doing thru out the process. She gives you a face massage when she applies the moisturizer at the end and it's the best feeling. I felt very relaxed and felt life I just came out of a dream state. Would definitely go back to try more services that she offers. And she doesn't push you to buy products. Skin Care by Rochel was recommended to me by a friend who knew I was looking for a facial in Crown Heights. I could not pass up trying it out with their affordable price points since the only other options were double the price! I was pleasantly surprised and have been going regularly for almost a year now. I specifically love the low price point, location, and availability. I really feel like the estheticians know what they are doing and what they are talking about. I also really enjoy the convenience that you can book an appointment online. Once you book an appointment you get a text AND email that they have "received" your appointment. Finally you get another text and email that they have "accepted" your appointment. It gives you the freedom to just book a facial at 1am when you are feeling like treating yourself to some self care the next day ;) I personally have only tried Chelsea and Victoria; I have no preferences since they are both great, but TIP: Victoria always offers hand massages. I unfortunately do not like the choice in music; last time I went they actually were playing such distracting music I had to tell Victoria since it was so hard to relax. Another reason I would not give it five stars is because there are no warm towels; I personally love a warm towel especially after a facial. And i didnt wish to come back next day for a 9pm appointment as offered--i was there well before 9pm yesterday so couldn't understand why one day you have a 9pm appt and another day you do not. I would not recommend coming here at all. the owner Rochel booked an appointment with me and left prior to me arriving. when i got here they just said she had to leave??? with no explanation. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. i learned that she doesnt live far and could literally come back to the studio but instead she just ignored her staffs phone calls and texts. Came here today for a facial, I had booked it yesterday and was able to get a last minute appointment in the morning. I'm so glad I did, it's hard to trust a place, I really took a chance based on the positive reviews and they were all so right! It's a really cute facility, no frills but clean and sleek. The woman who checked me in was incredibly kind and accommodating. I got right in on time for my facial with Chelsea. I got the glow facial because it seemed to be what best suited what I was looking for and a good refresh for my skin. The whole experience was fantastic, Chelsea was so nice and informative. She spoke me through the process and asked me questions to help pinpoint what was going on with my skin. The facial itself was lovely and I definitely noticed an immediate difference when leaving. That said, the deep pore cleansing facial I got from Chelsea was nothing short of FABULOUS, and I say this with an unblemished record of staunch heterosexuality. She was really informative, answered all the questions I had, and was extremely easy to talk to during times where I wasn't too relaxed to form a sentence. She also gave me some great advice about products I might benefit from. I really had no idea what to expect results-wise, and I really thought my skin looked great when I got home (aside from some unavoidable redness, of course). But YO. Yooooooooooooo, bruh. I had a lovely first time experience with Rochel. During the winter my skin reacts to the cold by touting a persistent layer of dryness. After fighting it with deep moisturizers and masks at home to no avail, I decided it was time to take it to the professionals. After a recommendation by my friend to go to Rochel, I booked an appointment ASAP. I went for the hydrating facial and let Rochel get to work. The space is in the back of a hair salon so isn't exactly glamorous, but at the very reasonable price point and quality ingredients and care that Rochel embraced, this was low on list of priorities to heal my face. She did a wonderful job to help me feel relaxed and pampered, and she really went to town on the extractions, clearing out all the trouble T-zone areas of any deep dirt. I was a bit nervous because I knew I needed extractions, there's months of gunk that need to be cleared out. But the extractions were quick and as as painless as it can be. I treated myself to my first ever facial treatment today (microneedling) with Nia, and I couldn't be happier with my experience! The space and employees are warm and inviting, and I felt at ease right away. Nia was phenomenal - she had a great energy that added to the vibe and she was thorough when explaining what to expect. The procedure itself was awesome - surprisingly comfortable and much less invasive than I was anticipating. I'm almost disappointed that I don't look like some of the scary picture I'd looked up beforehand lol! I also appreciated that nothing ever felt rushed and that there were check-ins throughout to make sure I was comfortable. I can't report on the effects yet as they take a few weeks (and are cumulative), but I can definitely say that I had a fab experience and that I've already booked my next appointment! Started seeing Rochel three months ago because my skin was breaking out like crazy and I didn't know why. It is much better now, and it is thanks to her. I got the deep pore cleansing facial once a month for the past three months and, beginning with the first treatment, saw results. I hadn't had a facial in years, and immediately I felt like I didn't need to wear as much makeup, as my skin was glowing after the facial.
