Pizza was fair. Greasy on top but crust was good. Garlic sticks had no garlic and little flavor. The waitress was very attentive but only with my male companions not with me. I guess she thought they were paying and thus leaving the tip. read more

Our group also ordered at 12:26 and we had to pay before our meals go to our table because we had to be back to work. We stopped in past 10pm on a Sunday while on a road trip. The kitchen was closed but you can still order pizza and there were still drink specials. We got the Gatsby's pizza and it was amazing! We were all so disappointed. The one star is simply because the food was edible. No additional stars, because of how important the dinner was and how painful our disappointment was. Our sister was in town from the west coast and it was a rare time for all four of us siblings to be able to eat and visit together in our childhood home, which was being prepared to sell after more than five decades in the family. My mom had passed earlier in the year and this Gatsby's dinner was a result of her having had a Groupon for the meal, which now we were using, kind of a final tribute to the house and to her generosity. I gathered everyone's orders and personally visited Gatsby's to place the order and take it back to the house. Everybody was planning to gather, having made this plan several weeks before, knowing that our sister would be here and that we were planning to eat together. The chili cheese dogs had no chili. None. The burger from the picture, with all the fixings, was requested with added banana peppers to make it even more special. The burger came with banana peppers only, and no cheese! And none of the other delicious-looking fixings. What a disappointment to go all the way there with such anticipation, to very carefully place the order with a good amount of Q&A with the server, to reminisce while waiting and think about what a great event we were going to have, then to get all the way back to the house and not have what we ordered. And the fries were just greasy and limp. Several days later I did call Gatsby's to explain the problem. It really is a sad state of service when the best the person on the phone could do was say, "I'm so sorry that happened." I went many extra miles to go to Gatsby's. The least I expected by phone was some empathetic conversation and perhaps an offer to make it up to us. People should think like owners who appreciate their customers, and respond in that manner. Going that extra mile might have meant getting someone else on the phone to make an offer of recompense. This was very empty. Groupon is what attracted us to Gatsby's, and part of that marketing strategy is surely to incentivize future business. This experience was a failure on the part of Gatsby's to live up to their advertisement and to earn a good review, encourage repeat business, and enhance their reputation. The whole ordeal just made Gatsby's appear careless. I'm only glad my mother paid the Groupon price and not full price for this "treat." read more

Save yourself. Dont eat here. Is there an option for no stars??? No sign to seat yourself so I stood at the front door like a polite person and waited to be seated and finally a customer said "just seat yourself no one ever comes up here". When I finally sat down I was thrown a menu. Looked like I could find something other than bar for too eat.... yeah I ordered a salad and the lettuce was older than I am. Started with the spinach artichoke dip which wasn't bad.... unless I got a still frozen bite. Only 1 out of the 3 servers had their hair pulled back. All servers were in daily wear clothing which would be fine if that was sanitary. Sweaters are not appropriate for food service. I must admit I don't drink so no comment there but overall.... The waitstaff and friendly bar tenders make up for any short comings with the food. Great beers on tap, decent bar food, what more could you ask for from a bar & grill in between two hotels? I've been to Gatsby's for lunch with coworkers every month or so for about a year now, and I enjoy some of their house specialties. I work nearby in Park 100, and this is one of the places my dept. will go for lunch every so often usually at 11am or 1pm on a Thursday or Friday. My coworkers told me about it, praising their various fried chicken dishes. I usually get the romano-crusted breaded chicken sandwich, which is very tasty, with waffle fries. I like their regular crinkle-cuts too, but the waffle fries are perfectly seasoned and mine have been crispy and delicious every time. Service is pretty good. I would agree that Debbi is great (have had her a couple times!), but other times, requests little stuff like extra sauces and timely refills can fall by the wayside. (Maybe its just that its really more of a bar, and less of a restaurant, IDK.) Still, it is my favorite sit-down restaurant in the Park 100 area, and I do recommend it if you're nearby and want pub food in an easy-going bar and grill. read more

This a nice little sports bar walking distance to our hotel. Surprisingly it had 18 beers on tap (including a cider option). The bartender was super friendly, despite being very busy. The prices were reasonable and we would certainly go back. read more

My wife and I came to Indy to visit her sister over the Memorial Day weekend. Her sister and her sister's friends were all meeting up at Gatsby's for their trivia night, so my wife and I tagged along since we can definitely hold our own in trivia. Fast forward 2 1/2 hours later with multiple times asking the waitress when trivia would start with no answer. We assume it has been cancelled even though there are big signs all over the place saying it should have started hours ago. Plus, it was obvious we were not the only people there for trivia. Groups who were obviously teams also waiting for the game to start were all over the place. Epic fail. read more

I met a friend for drinks on a Thursday night, but did not sample their food. They had a decent beer selection including Quaff On Hare Trigger IPA on tap. No thanks! Asked to have have my club meat fried/grilled but it wasn't. Sent it back with a simple "hey, can you throw it on a little longer" and it came back right away from the cook stating he already did. Simple request to make a customer happy was too much. Met up with a friend here for dinner and drinks... It's your typical local bar - nothing flashy, but there's nothing wrong with that either. They actually had a pretty good drink selection, including some good local brews and not just the typical macros. The food menu was also pretty extensive and even included more upscale items like fish and pasta, not just burgers and nachos. I got a sandwich and the wife got a burger, both of which were actually pretty good. While the waffle fries I got were great, the wife's regular fries were pretty sad and lifeless. It was also trivia night (as is every Monday, apparently), and we love bar trivia! We played along with eight or nine other teams and really enjoyed ourselves. The biggest shortcoming of our experience was the service. It was slow getting our food and drinks and our server just generally seemed to want to be anywhere but there. I know everyone has bad days, so I'm not letting that ruin the place for me. We may very well be back soon on another Monday for some trivia. read more

It's hard to give this place any more stars. We walked in today and everyone was very friendly. The place was practically empty, so we had our choice of seats. Soon after we sat down, the waiter came over and asked what we wanted to drink. All we wanted was two waters. After waiting around 20 minutes for him to return with our waters and take our order, me and my husband got up and left.
