This is my local bar and it is filled with just that - locals. It's located in a nondescript strip mall, sharing the massive parking lot with a Baskin-Robbins, laundromat, nail salon, barber shop, pancake house, liquor store, Chinese takeout, alterations shop, and a UPS store. It doesn't look like much from the outside. But you step j side and it's actually quite large, with a long bar, an additional room in the back with a pool table and some games (darts, Golden Tee), and an outdoor patio (mainly for smokers). Taylor's is a chain of three Indiana-based neighborhood pubs. Patrons must be 21 or older to enter. The bar in Greenbriar strip mall has several pool tables, dart games and other electronic games. A dozen tv monitors were playing sports. The dining room is dark, comfortable and immaculate. Maddie was an awesome server! She was friendly, attentive and made recommendations. She kept our glasses full and checked on us multiple times. Food came out quickly and we did not feel rushed. The lunch menu offers a wide range of reasonably priced sandwiches, sliders, tacos and salads. I had the 1/2 Stromboli and Chopped Salad. The Stromboli was really good with a mix of sausage, pepperoni, tomato sauce, onion, cheese on a hoagie roll. The hoagie roll was too much bread so I just ate it without the top. The Chopped Salad was really delicious with fresh greens, candied pecans, cranberries and slices of avocado. The lunch came with a beverage. My husband had the steak special with fries and a side salad. The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare and he ate everything. His meal was an unbelievable great deal at $11. It was wonderful to get out in the sunshine today! We had shopping to to which we never do together--except for maybe once every few years. This place is just a relaxing pit stop! Server was prompt, courteous but not bothersome. We were left to relax a bit, enjoy a cocktail and leave. Sometimes, that's all you want. But I would like to experience this place during a busier time to enjoy the regular crowd. I guess that warrants another visit! read more

If you are looking for a low key place that serves up a drink and some good food then I would try this spot out! It has outdoor seating and a pool table. The staff is friendly and they keep the drinks coming. To start off I just had the basic vodka tonic with a lime and ordered tortilla chips with chorizo queso which is super tasty. After I saw that the special for the evening was a 4$ Jameson Long Island iced tea I switched to that. I probably would have gotten the steak as well but I already had my tortilla chips and wasn't to hungry. I haven't had much on the menu but the salads are surprisingly good. So the specials menu that the photos show - have been changed so I did ask for the whiskey and was told that was on Thursday's. They have a wide variety of items on the menu but since I was drinking a cold beer, I opted for the chili which was alright but after ordering one of their fuzzy vodkas w/pineapple juice - I smelled a smell that I just had to have - their shrimps! Taylor's is a comfortable neighborhood Pub with good food, great service and a laid-back Pub atmosphere. The decor is on trend in charcoal gray with accents of red and black. Warm, clean, crisp look throughout. As you walk in select from one of the several 4-top tables or grab a seat at the decent size bar top. If you're here to play pool walk straight back where two pool tables are located. Spacious with a bar ledge, a few tables and a very active juke box are in the area. The menu is what you'd expect from a Pub yet has some fun twists. There's a terrific variety of appetizers from Nachos, Tenderloin Squares, Sliders, Hummus and Pita, Wings, Mozzarella Bites and Dos Tostadas topped with their Pot Roast to name just a few. Today, (Sunday) wings are on special for $3 off so I'll be ordering those. Pizzas are also an option along with Salads, Soups and their Specialty Items of Fish and Chips, Fiesta Wet Burrito, Fish Tacos, Chili 3-Way and Shrimp Diablo Pasta. Something for most. It was so hard to pass up the pasta which is one of my favorites. I'm trying to cut back on pasta but I struggle. I started with the Mango Habanero Wings since they were on special! Taylor's offers 8 different sauces for the Wings. The Mango Habanero sauce has a sweet flavor and a bit of heat. Very tasty, sticky and messy even with a fork. I also ordered the Parmesan Crusted Pot Roast Sandwich which is pot roast with sauteed onions and pepper jack cheese on parmesan crusted bread of your choice (rye for me) served with one side. I opted for the $3 upcharge and went for the thick cut onions rings. True comfort sandwich with tender slices of Certified Angus Beef with a subtle onion flavor and a touch of spice from the pepper jack cheese. A hearty sandwich you don't find everyday on a Pub menu. The onion rings have a well seasoned thick batter and are quite good...little greasy but what I expected. Marcia was a wonderful server who was handling a full bar and several tables well. She was very personable and knew most of the customers by name. The perfect personality for a neighborhood Pub. My wife and I had an enjoyable lunch at Taylor's. There were lots of options including some daily specials that looked pretty appealing. I went with the Parmesan Encrusted Pot Roast on my choice of Rye bread. Plenty of meat and mildly seasoned with a few sauteed onions and the bread lightly coated with the cheese. It came with a side of house pretzels which were crisp and garlicky. The dill spear was a nice touch too! My wife passed on the regular chili and went for the chili 3-way which includes cheese and pasta noodles. She thought the flavor fine, not too spicy, but found the bowl a bit dry (possibly the noodles sucked out some of the moisture.) The serving was large and she left mostly noodles sitting at the bottom. Probably should have just got the regular chili. It also came with a peppery breadstick which she gave to me since I enjoy pepper more than her. It was robustly seasoned, so be aware of that if you order them. Our hostess/server was friendly and checked in on us regularly. I could see why so many folks who visit here are regulars. Ordered by phone w/ very friendly young woman. Wanted 2 breaded tenderloin and each has special instructions that were followed to a T! Both had house made chips that were delicious. The pulled pork Mac n cheese was FIRE! They included dinnerware and were friendly upon pick up. Face masks and hand sanitizer available. Fast and easy payment when picked up. I'm loving this little hole in the wall. We have been going here while my kiddo takes a one-hour yoga class. For the last two weeks, we have been able to get dinner, drinks, and pay within an hour. Service is friendly and the food is FANTASTIC. I recommend the wings and chili. The fish tacos are also good. Really, everything I have had is delicious. I can't quite give it five stars. They allow smoking on their otherwise fabulous patio and the music is always just a hair too loud. Note, this is a 21+ location. read more

I had a horrible experience with the bartender/ manager my waitress was phenomenal. Her name was sierra, however, we ordered several drinks when I asked for a double shot of vodka. It came and was very watered down. You couldn't even smell the liquor in it. I let my waitress know. She agreed that it was watered down and said she would take it to the bartender so I can get another shot, his name was vodell she then comes back and tells me he said he's not pouring me. Another shot because it's not water down. I then asked to speak to a manager and she said he is the manager and apologized. She then went to go get him. He didn't even walk up and approach us. He stood at the gate and said I'm not pouring you another shot it's not water down and proceeded to laugh, like it was funny I told him I clearly don't have problems paying for my drinks, when I have ordered several already. The person who was with me even acknowledged that the drink was watered down. You could see that I didn't even drink the shot. He tells me he's not pouring me another one it's a new bottle And walks away. My waitress apologizes and like I explained to her, it was not an issue about the money but for customer service that's not the way you handle it. He didn't even approach us, stood in the doorway by the rail and shrugged it off and laughed and handled it in a a disrespectful way. My waitress had even smelled the drink as well. I even told her to try to drink!!! But however it's the principal that's not the way you handle a situation and you don't be rude. Like I said I had several other drinks and even still paid for those drinks and tipped my waitress because she had nothing to do with his behavior. And was very respectful. I've been to Taylor's Pub a few times now. My friends and I love trivia night Thursdays! It's free to play, challenging, and a good way to spend the evening. Trivia runs from 7:30 to approximately 9:30, and you can even play while sitting on the patio! Now as for the food, it's all good! I've had a few meals there, but my absolute favorite is the Parmesan Crusted Pot Roast Sandwich. The pot roast falls apart in your mouth. It's so juicy and tender! And the bread is crispy and flavorful. I highly recommend it! Last night, we also got the bread sticks. They're your average bread stick with some good seasoning, but nothing special. I'm not a beer drinker, but my friends enjoy the beer offerings at Taylor's. One tip for anyone attending trivia night...you need to come up with a clever name for your team! Teams that just go by "team number 4" or whatever are booed by everyone in the pub. Creative team names that relate to whatever news is making headlines that week get applause. read more

We came in to kill time and get some appetizers. I am always skeptical of pubs in little shopping plazas but this was much better than expected. We had the mozzarella bites and the pretzel sticks. The pretzels were a little overdone but had good flavor. I am not a big fan of queso and would prefer beer cheese as an option but hubs said it was good. Our server was very attentive. Had good ratings on yelp. Took FIL and son there. Maybe 10 people in the pub. Waitress took 10 mins to get to us. Then another 5 mins to get drinks.. Ordered to pork tenderloins and 8pc wings. Thought they had to slaughter the hog to get tenderloin! 30 mins later food shows up. My wings were so ovet cooked they were dried up.. The tenderloins were very good. Liked how they spice up the pretzels. Git nothing to hard to fix but took way way too long. Total time there was 1.75 hrs. Probably going to check this pub off the list. May i also suggest turning music down just a tad bit. read more

Pleasantly surprised. Stopped in because I was in the area for a quick bite to eat and a beer. It was the bartender Erics first night but you would never have guessed. I took his recommendation and got the steak steet tacos. They came 3 to an order with chips, pico de gallo and tomatillo sauce for only $9.99! The steak was tender, well flavored, topped with onions and cilantro on two tortillas. The bartender checked on me often and made sure I didn't need anything. Great food and great service.
