Much easier to let loose! *Note, you will not learn "Salsa Aerobics", as Franklin would say :) And I don't think he teaches basic beginner salsa STEPS. He does BODY MOVEMENT, as in you learned somewhere else how to do 1,2,3.. 5,6,7 and he will teach you how to LOOK and FEEL good doing it and it's hard! For beginner salsa STEPS, that is a different kind of instruction. In my opinion, you should come to this class knowing how to do a basic. We absolutely loved working with Chris, who made us feel like superstars and fully prepared us for our first dance. Chris was our main instructor for our 20-class package, with Jessa providing us extra support during some of these sessions. They taught the lessons in easily digestible steps with explanations that were quickly understandable for beginners like ourselves. As a new dancer, I have no problems following the choreography, but I still feel challenged. The instructor EJ is great and oh my can he dance. He is patient, professional and charismatic. He is an easy going instructor who gives clear instructions that are easy to follow and has a great sense of humor. His classes are warm and fun and all students regardless of level dance with one another and lend support. As a new member, and without a partner, I was immediately welcomed into the group and made to feel at home and at ease. At $15 a class, you certainly get more than your money's worth, and leave feeling exhilarated, smiling, and excited to come back again. There is no form of exercise that I look forward to more.
