We selected GB Construction to build a new custom home in part due to a referral from a friend who had used them for a renovation project. From start to finish, Carlos and his entire team were responsive, reliable, knowledgeable, professional and hard working. The fact that GB Construction has a dedicated team and excellent project planning, the total build time was about 4 1/2-5 months (good weather also helped). Carlos was consistently responsive to questions we had as well as texts/emails throughout the project. He used good quality materials and would provide suggestions and ideas, which we also found helpful. The team is attentive to detail and takes pride in doing good work. When we encountered a few things that weren't as we had expected, Carlos promptly fixed them. Our house was being built on a vacant lot in a decades old, established neighborhood. GB Construction was sensitive to this; they answered questions/concerns that arose from neighbors and cleaned up the worksite throughout the project. He interacted well with others including our mortgage company, surveyors, appraisers, and the electric company. Carlos and his team came highly recommended to us from our neighbors. They did a great clean job with a concrete patio extension and natural stone seating wall for us. It's very professionally done, was handled with proper rebar, slight slope and weep holes to allow for drainage. They also made this so it will be load bearing for if/when we decide to cover the patio; currently our house shades it, so we are still trying to decide on keeping it light and airy. We will definitely be reaching back out to GB Construction for any future projects. These guys did an excellent job on a limestone retaining wall that had toppled due to poor construction when built. They offered a competitive price that most places I contacted couldnt match. GB construction came highly recommended from my neighbors who did quite a few home repairs. We used them for a COMPLETE home remodel and build a 60ft by 15ft covered patio. There was not an inch in the house that they did not work on. The work took 3 months, which to me was really fast for everything we needed done. Carlos (contractor) was extremely helpful with suggestions on design and really helped make things much easier. He was always available if we had questions and came and checked on the progress almost daily. I am very happy with their services. I called the number and a man picked up, he immediately scheduled to come out the next morning to give me a free estimate. I was needing custom shelving put in a very large nook area (entertainment center could fit in there). He measured and gave me a great price. I gave him a picture of what I wanted off of Pinterest and he said ok. He said he come back in 2 days at 8a and would be done by 5p. He and his crew did come back in 2 days but were done by 3p. They cleaned up everything and even dusted the shelves, had them sparkling. The shelves looked exactly like the ones on Pinterest. I get so many compliments on them!! read more
