    72in fan
    Elvia L.

Salvador and his team came to install tile in all my rooms and closets. They installed a 72in fan for living room all handles for kitchen cabinets and two TV stands for our bedrooms. I am very pleased with this business. Price is very reasonable and job was done in 3 days. They helped moved furniture in and out.

We have used Sal and his team at Capital City Tradesmen for two kitchen renovations and a bathroom renovation. We've been extremely pleased with the outcome on all. Sal is very even-keeled and easy to work with. He is extremely responsive to any questions or concerns. There will always be issues/snags that come into renovation projects, but you can rest assured that Sal and his team will deliver with excellent quality. Sal has also been great at staying true to the timeline and budget - which is extremely hard to come by. We highly, highly recommend!

Sal and his crew just finished a much anticipated major bathroom remodel. We are very pleased with the results. It looks great! Sal was very responsive before and during the construction. He was also easy to work with and his team was hard working. The price was fair and we will be sure to use Capital City Tradesmen in the future for other projects.

I have recently employed Capital City Tradesmen to accomplish quite a lot on my new home built in 2001. To my great pleasure the coat of paint they did on every surface inside and out created not only a fresh new feel but it changed the entire feel of the home inside and in conjunction with the 4 acre landscape. They also do some beautiful arches, a walk up bar and turned my dining room into a dressing room from anoth I am thrilled! I would recommend them to anyone who appreciates punctuality, dependability, affordability, quality, and a superb attitude. Give them a ring you will be happy you did.

We love our master bath and walk in closet. The job was completed in October of 18 but we still marvel at the beauty if it every time we walk in there! Sal and his crew are amazing craftsmen as well as just good people!!

    Master bath renovation.

I'm trying to think of anything you can buy these days that comes with a true lifetime guarantee…read more I got nuthin' --- except Cutco knives. Cutco knives are made in the USA to last, and the Cutco company believes so strongly in its product that each knife is "guarantee forever" including free sharpening. What?! Until recently, I did not have Cutco knives but, just as I was contemplating an upgrade of my kitchen knives, my sweet Mom gifted me with the set she'd had for years but no longer used. Did the guarantee convey to a new owner? Were these older knives (circa 1970s) eligible for free sharpening? What about the French Chef knife that had a chink missing from the blade? Could it be fixed? When I called the Cutco Kitchen in Rollingwood (in the shopping center where the Post Office is) the answer to all my questions was, without hesitation or question, "yes." I took the knives in today and the experience couldn't have been better. It's a small shop but has a very wide array of Cutco products: all the knives, kitchen utensils, spices, gardening tools, and other handy household items. Although there was only one sales person present, I was the only customer so I had her attention immediately. The sales person examined each knife and found one that had a broken point, which I had not noticed. They would mail it and the damaged French Chef knife to the company for any repairs or replacement. The other knives were sharpened at the shop. I brought my non-Cutco knives, too, because they only charge $5 per knife for sharpening. This took about 10 minutes or so, more than enough time for me to pop by the USPO and Great Harvest Bread Co. where I got an amazing loaf of bread (but that's another Yelp review). Their process is to call me when the replacement/repaired knifes are ready for pick-up, which should be about 10 days. Yes, the Cutco products are pricey but I believe they are worth it. My Mom used her Cutco knives for about 50 years before passing them on to me and I suspect they will be around long after I no longer need them. In Cutco's case, you definitely get what you pay for.

Avi was an absolutely delight. Fast, clear communication before the initial meeting. Very thoughtful approach in our initial meeting. So many images from their highly impressive portfolio to help us think through options. Excellent examples of communication and workflow from previous projects. Instantly ready to share previous customers we could reach out to for references. A really good balance between sharing his ideas for our project, but also really listening to our feedback on what we wanted/invisoned. All the right insights for how to keep us in budget, and very generous with (we can add this/that for little/no extra costs since we're already doing XYZ). We mainly requested a bid on two projects (Kitchen and Primary Bathroom) and help deciding the scope for the remainder of our projects (Flooring, Guest Bath, Office, Patio, Etc.). We were very impressed with how realistic, but also open-minded he was with what portion of our "bonus" projects we could fit in. The formal quote came in fast after our initial meeting, was easy to follow, and fairly priced. Found the proposed timeline to be very well balanced for efficiency vs realism. Appreciated the suggestions provided for if we should/could "live-in" during the remodel vs. a timeline that would allow the bulk of the work to overlap with a time that we were going to be out of town already. Also insights on what it would be worth "buying in advance" to take advantage of sales, even if the actual work was delayed. We got a few quotes and would have felt confident moving forward with any of them when the time came, but the quality of their portfolio and Avi's attentive listening definitely put Teamwork Home Designs at the top of the list. Can't wait to work with them in the future.

The team appeared comfortable working on bathroom renovations; however, the shower diverter was not installed correctly, which caused the handle to be improperly aligned. We later hired a licensed plumber to inspect and correct the issue. Overall, the quality of work did not meet our expectations. Some aspects of the workmanship appeared rushed, and based on our experience, I would recommend exercising caution with detail-oriented tasks such as wood staining, drywall, painting, or door hardware installation. This project did not go as smoothly as anticipated, and I would not choose to work with this company again.

And yeah--the treats at the front are a nice bonus. Honestly, just a great, feel-good spot to get lost in for a bit. Hard not to walk out with the one thing you needed...so be warned!!

Eric assisted me with trying to find said oil and then Phill was brought in for ordering online to have in store the following week. I initially thought this was an Ace Harware store which is part of it with the other part similar to a Williams Sonoma with kitchen, glasswear, candles, wrapping paper and much more. Spent about 30-45 min walking around. The great customer service for assisting with the item I needed gave a lot of value to the store along with the item matching the price seen online. Only area for opportunity is the outdoor garden area. Definitely has seen better days. The order did come in the following week and instead of the store calling on Wed/Thu, I called on Friday to confirm. Jeff hunted the item down and I was able to pickup on Saturday. I'll keep this place in mind for hardware store needs as well as decoration/small housewares.

Anyway, it's now 5 years on and I needed to add some window blinds and wanted to match the products Komal selected. I emailed her multiple times and received no responses, I tried the manufacturer but unfortunately it's one of those "call your dealer," type places. The stickers that might have had the info we're all sunbleached and unreadable. I finally gave up and ordered something that doesn't match. Not how I imagined this would work when I hired an expensive designer. Also, we just discovered Komal's contractors who installed our sink/kitchen faucet didn't cut out sufficient space for the faucet collet. So now the whole thing has come loose and is falling over, I paid Stand Brothers to find out that they can't fix it until I hire someone to cut into the drywall and open up the correct space. Frustrating. I didn't think I was paying for cheap work but here we are.

I'm assuming she meant a utilitarian, straight man who still had his college furniture. On the bright side, I'm not constantly redecorating, and my husband is happy. So we finally decided that our house needed some color besides the neutral brown/beige tones bestowed upon us by our manly builder and our love of natural woods and leather accents. The only problem was that, having the decorating knowledge equivalent to two men, and the budget equivalent to a couple with two expensive children, we hesitated every time it came to decisions. I ran across a Groupon awhile back for a color consultation from Spaces Designed, and I decided to call in a professional. The young woman who showed up with swatches and color strips was calm, professional, and kinder than my Realtor had been, by far (maybe it helped to have long since given away my college furniture?). She asked me questions about what colors and styles I like and don't like, and then she confidently whipped out her tools like a magic wand and laid out a color plan for me. Within an hour, I had designer colors for my pseudo man-cave that actually made me happy, because they weren't brown or freaky pink or any other risky colors that scare me. They were an array of muted grey-greens. I hesitated a bit when the painter was working, because I wasn't used to color on my walls, but I bit my tongue. And when it was all done and everything was put back where it belonged, my house was beautiful. I know this, because several of my female friends with actual decorating talent told me so, and rather convincingly at that. So if you're ready for a change, even you don't have the budget or the stomach for a total remodel, you might want to check them out for something as simple as a color consultation. I know they do a lot more than this, and if I have the budget in the future, I'd give them a call again.
