Poor service the 2nd time used, Had bought a set of tire here w/ their extended road hazzard pkg…read moreover a year ago... Came in for service rotation and check. Mechanic said one tire had a nail in the tread too close the side to repair. (which was not the fact although if there is a nail too close to the sidewall that would be true), But when I asked to see the tire no nail could be found and what he showed me was a piece of gravel in the tread. On further inspection a tire belt separation movement was seen. So the tire would need to be replaced anyway. Tire was pro-rated for replacement and a meger 25% credit given. My veh size tire was not in their stock, so had to return in a day or 2. Fine, An appt was made to replace the tire, I was there on time waited over 1/2 hr to get someone to work on it, then a runaround if I had the paperwork of buying the tires when the info was on their computer system. Not sure how honest, and yes, the waiting room is great Bottom line I'll, Shop for tires and get service elsewhere.

I was originally referred here for basic maintenance, like oil changes, from a friend when I moved…read moreto the area. It was cheaper to get oil changes through them instead of doing it myself. However, when it came to alignment they charged almost $80 and when I left there it was pulling to the left instead of the right and they didn't give me an alignment sheet to show what they did. A week later I took it back and asked them to check it again while I got an oil change as well. They seemed to have overbooked themselves and we're really busy. After the oil change they said I was good to go. I asked about the alignment check and Rob said "They made sure everything was tight." Which means they didn't put it on the machine/didn't have time. So my car has been out of alignment for about 3 months now until I go pay extra money for it somewhere else to get it fixed. I've stopped going to them for oil changes and inspection. I thought I'd give them another go when my tire valve was leaking air and every once in awhile throwing the TPMS sensor. So I took it them and explained that. They came back and said it would cost me $115 and for an hour of reprogramming the TPMS. Now, I've had to replace a tire valve before because it actually snapped off in extreme cold weather when filling my tires. It was $90 for a whole new valve and monitor. I told them this, they come back and say they could actually do it for that price. But the valve I have is completely intact, just leaking. So I'm thinking its a possible seal that has gone bad because it's a slow-ish leak (about a month) and only recently started throwing the TPMS sensor. Upon, checkout the girl argued with me that I wouldn't find a better deal and that it was probably the same for her Lexus versus my civic. They've gone down hill about being honest and helping the costumer out. Not to mention they can't figure out why there's a popping noise coming from my steering column and I've had them check for they 2 times plus one oil change he mentioned it for a 3rd time and said he couldn't figure it out. UPDATE: Just took my car to Thompson Tire in Radford to get a new tire and alignment because my rear driver's side tire was worn to the wire on the inside (not the center) and turns out it was -2.4 CAMBER when it's suppose to be close to 0 toe! Oh, and the front two were tires/total toe was off. I hope Automasters will do a better job about making time for their customer's needs (especially when the customer made an appointment for those needs) to be fixed and not say "everything looks tight." And send them on to later have to buy a new tire and get it aligned AGAIN due to their negligence. Never going back.
