Purchased a remnant, a bit smaller than we wanted but salesman ASSURED us it was cut perfect and his warehouse man personally checks before selling it. NOT the case! Before buying, unroll it and inspect it yourself BEFORE paying for it. Pleased with price, remnant, but not what we were told. Two separate chunks missing. Perfect Customer Service; Great product; great people. Will recommend! Best flooring selection in the metroplex!

Ged's Floor Store customer service is poor, fabrication is sub-standard, and installation was deplorable. They were not accommodating in answering questions regarding measurements or particular parts of the job. The sales team is not knowledgeable on the process. The sales manager and measurements team lack integrity! The fabrication team measured for the counter tops twice and still cut the slab incorrectly. The overhang is incorrect for the whole job. They did a poor job of matching the veining pattern for the seam. They did an inadequate job of putting the two pieces together. The adhesive in the seam doesn't connect both pieces uniformly. It also has large drip pieces hanging into the cabinet which the installers left. The fabrication team which had the measurement template for the sink under cut the whole. My sink accessories, which were provided by the manufacturer, do not fit due to the way they cut the opening. The cutting board sticks up about 1.5 inches. The installers performed a sloppy job while installing the counter top. First the installed half of the counter tops and needed to create a template for the island. This took more of my time than necessary. While installing the counter top they left marks on the walls, left adhesive on the walls in a couple spots. Some pulled the paint off and they didn't offer to fix it. The installers were also unprofessional. The island was not cut properly from the fabrication team so they took it upon themselves to cut into my house without a courtesy of letting me know. This would not have been authorized. That column was just fixed prior to this installation, I was horrified to hear the saw running to cut into it. Still, the installers were unable to get the counter top to fit so they cut the slab in my house and left a lengthy cut unfilled on the bottom of the slab. After the install, I called the store to see how they can fix this. I was blown off and only able to get minimal answers but only if I called and waited on hold. It turns out the sales manager is the son of the store manager. The sales managers ability to deal with customers other than processing an order is awful. The only reason he has a job here is because his dad works there. Having worked in a customer service role this is a situation which needed swift attention and it was shoved to the side. I was told it was a "professional job", it was professional in the sense the people were paid to complete a task, but this was not a Quality job meaning it was performed to the customers satisfaction. In conclusion, Ged's missed the mark and delivered a poor product and an unsatisfactory service. I will never go with this company again. Don't make the same mistake I did, stay away! read more

Absolutely horrible experience...awful customer service. I chose the flooring that I wanted..I asked several questions about it. Trevor began the process of having the two boxes pulled from the back and tying my invoice.. my contractor and I were privately discussing other options when he rudely interrupted asking if I was changing my mind because he didn't want to go through the trouble if I was ..I was like no ..we are having a discussion over here..so we walked away to continue.. we completed the transaction and left.... We began to install to find that we were given the wrong item .. called them, spoke to Rusty..he said come back, exchange them...he called back to say...oh, btw, there might be additional expense..huh...why would there be, I didn't make a mistake. He refused to admit that they made a mistake, proceeded to argue and attempt to belittle me..He was extremely rude and unprofessional. 45 minute drive and a delay in completing the project.. then charged me an additional $95 although they sold me the wrong product... Every single person that I spoke to was rude and unapologetic. Not one person admitted to their mistake...I couldn't get a refund because of the 20% restocking fee... read more

Our first quote was about 3100. And then we went back and it was changed again to about 3800. So we paid 2000. Was aware of the payoff amount after the work was done. Little did we know the price had changed again after the job was done!!!! At the end we paid an extra $800!!!!! I was never told that the amount had changed and I was not aware of the price change till they charged my card. There was no communication at all they had plenty of time to tell us that we were going to pay more. The workers that came out told us we were going to need another box and did not end up needing another box and they refuse to give us the money back. The actual work was done very well but our salesman was horrible!!!!! If u decide to use them make sure u are checking the pricing all the way through the job.. I feel we should have been informed every time they changed the price.. we ended up paying close to 5k and it was far from our first quote they gave us of 3100. read more

The Engineered Stone Pebble pictured in the uploaded photo was purchased from GED Flooring, Grand Prairie, TX location. The Engineered Stone Pebble was installed in my new shower floor, months later the product begin peeling and breaking apart. I contacted the installer, explained the problem and to ensure it wasn't an install problem, the installer agreed to reinstall the same product. Once again, the product begin peeling and breaking apart. The installer came out again for another assessment and determined that the problem was definitely the product. The product is defective and no amount of re-installing the same product is going to solve the problem. I went back to the same GED location and spoke with the manager Gerry and another rude store employee and asked for a refund for the product. The store manager told me they would come out for an inspection. They called once and left a message. I immediately returned the called, only to be told the manager was unavailable. I have called several times since that first call and have been told numerous times that they will come out for an inspection, however, they continue to not show up the dates they say they will come out for an inspection and they continue to not be available for an inspection. This lack of attention demonstrates their lack of seriousness and concern for the defective products they sell. Due to the defective product they sold me, my newly remodeled shower floor is damaged and is in need of a repair , with a new and different product with a 3rd install. I am requesting a full refund for the defective product. This problem with the GED, Grand Prairie location and store manager and employees, has several other similar complaints from other consumers relating to reimbursement. read more

I had to replace my wood floors because of a water leak. Gerry, Jr was extremely professional and great keeping me updated each step of the way. He sent the Roberto team to install. They were very cautious and when the slab was reading super moist they made sure to have the correct products to protect the warranties. Because the slab started heaving, I had to stop them from laying any flooring. They had completed about 1/3. I know this messed up their scheduling, but both Gerry JR and Roberto kept a smile on their faces. They were just wonderful! The floors are finished and look great! Rusty helped us at the store with the process of buying the floor. He did a great job of explaining the different types of flooring. The only complaint, which was not his fault I guess, was the sign that stated "zero interest for 18 months" was incorrect. It was zero months for a year because of the economic times as they are right now, Rusty said. I think they should change the sign or have a disclaimer. Other than that, everything went smoothly. Make sure you count everything. I ordered 18 pieces when I got home I had 15, they do not care. Yes my fault for not counting but silly me I trust people. The boxes were taped so I assumed they had counted them. They had not counted them they just accepted that it was 18 from the vendor like I did. I had to purchase the 3 pieces again. Update I received a phone call from Ged's and the situation was handled. I appreciate the time taken to take care of what I am sure seemed like a small problem to most people. I spoke with a salesman named Marty who was EXTREMELY rude and completely refused business to me because I am going through my builder, and then proceeded to yell at me and tell my builder to show me a sample. The only reason for the 4 out 5 rating is because the installation crew had a third of the floor installed when we realized it was not at all what we ordered. BUT, after the crew's embarrassment, they called the warehouse - who had made the mistake. In a very short time they had taken up the wrong flooring and had the right materials down. We began using GED'S in 1995 for all our flooring needs and since then they have replaced all the floors in our home, a couple rooms more than once. I will restrict the following comments to the last project, and like all the ones before we are extremely happy with their work. We recently contracted GED'S to install floors in two bathrooms. Their employee, Adam Chase directed us to the appropriate products and once we made our decision, he scheduled the work to take place within a week. During that week we made a change to the order, and Adam made sure the change did not require a scheduling change. The day of installation, two installers, Carlos and Fabio arrived right on time and began the work. Being an older house, some unexpected issues came to lite, one having to do with the old flooring and one regarding the water supply to the toilet. Carlos quickly assessed the situation and not only informed me of the issues but recommended solution which we approved, and he completed. A few hours later, the floors were in and looked great. The professionalism and craftmanship of Carlos and Fabio were superb and we couldn't be more pleased with the results. Prior to leaving, Carlos and Fabio removed all the debris and cleaned up the area beyond anyone's expectations. If you are thinking about a flooring project, I recommend GED'S enthusiastically. Over the past 25 years, they have installed hardwood flooring, porcelain floors, carpets, and tile in different rooms of our home as well as all the flooring in my son's new home. Took time out of my Sunday to go pick up 2100 SQFT of WOOD flooring for work to be able to start Monday morning. After driving half way across cross the world, with traffic and rain, I was told "we only have 3 salesmen, and the forklift is charging, so we can't load such a big order today" well how about that customer service? I would like to rate them a 3 star on customer service however the quality, availability, options, pricing and the knowledge they provide exceeds the sale reps. I'm so happy with the wood porcelain tile we bought. I went in at 9 am during the week and was helped right away. The sales rep will treat you like if we are the experts kinda like like a "yeah, duh" attitude. I really had to deal with him since they had what I needed for much cheaper than surplus floors. When I brought them back we were barely in the door when Brett walked to us, saw the tile we had, said they'd had a problem with that tile and would we like to trade out or have our money back? In Jan 09 I moved cross country into a foreclosed home that needed all new carpet. I needed someone with almost instant availability. Not only was Geds priced lower than most others, their crew accomodated me by coming over at 9PM only one or two days later to install carpet the night before the movers showed up. They did an absolute amazing job. A couple of days later I noticed a problem with the carpet in my bedroom. They had to split the piece in order for it to fit properly, and for some reason the first half didn't quite look the same as the second half. They immediately rectified the situation and it looks fantastic now. Almost 2 years later, there were a few areas of carpet in several rooms that were "bubbling" ... in other words, they needed to be stretched. I gave Geds a call and they sent the guys over the next day; and noted it was still under warranty so there was no charge. It was the same guys who installed my carpet. I was expecting them to just stretch out the problem areas, but they ended up restretching the whole carpet in several rooms. I guess I should have expected this from them. It looks perfect again. I would definitely recommend Geds over and over again for their stellar prices and top notch installation and service. Good customer service goes a long way in this economy. read more

We purchased carpeting and vinyl flooring from Ged's for our home in 2016 to replace our old carpeting and tile. The pricing was excellent as well as the installation. Over time, our vinyl flooring started to tent due to a manufacturer defect. Jerry Sr. sent an inspector to evaluate the flooring and it was determined that the flooring should be replaced. Jerry Sr. was true to his word and replaced our vinyl flooring. During the transition, vinyl flooring has come a long way and we have an excellent limestone vinyl flooring product which is of high quality. We paid a slight difference in an upgrade of our choosing along with the improved underlay. The installers, Rene's team, did an outstanding job. We will definitely shop at Ged's again for any home improvement needs in the future. read more

I dont recommend working with them or their customer service rep Adam C. I would suggest going anywhere else in the dallas area to one of their few dozen competitors. They quoted a price on friday, I called on saturday saying we wanted to move forward and they said we would be good to go and they will call our contractor to let them know since they work with them so well. But since our contractor called the next morning they pushed the price up .50 cents a sqft and would honor the original price. When I called they said they know thats the price they told us and that we called but we are just SOL. Plenty of other places to buy quality flooring, might as well not waste your time here. read more

These guys did an awesome job on our house. We are so glad we went with Geds for our vinyl flooring. The detailed work they do with installing is crazy. As soon as you walk through the door of the store you are greeted with a nice warming hello. They help you get what you're looking for and explain the knowledge of flooring in detail. I would highly recommend these guys to anybody, they are truly great. Marty is the associate that helped us out. He explained many things to us that we had no clue about and answered all questions we had. Talking to him made us feel confident in letting them install our floors and made us feel good about the floors that we chose. We had some builder grade carpet in our home that we had been wanting to get rid of and replace with hardwood. We then had a flood from our washing machine. Once all the wet carpet was pulled up and everything dried out, we decided to go with engineered hardwood. We worked with Marty at Ged's he was very knowledgeable and patient as he showed us the different colors/styles of engineered wood they carry. They had the selection and price we were looking for. The new hardwood floor was replaced in 1 day! We also have a few small areas re-carpeted. Those areas look great as well. We had problems with what I would call pockmocks where the wood filler was coming out and our original vendor wasn't able to help, so on a whim we called Ged's and spoke with Jerry to see if he could help since he sold the same flooring. Ged's had no financial interest in us and really no reason to help other than "it was the right thing to do". Gerry has come to our house several times to see the problem for himself and to bring a floor repair tech to see what he could do. Bottom line - Gerry is working on getting a resolution with the manufacturer on our behalf even though we did not choose Ged's because that is the type of organization they are...Impressive! I recommend them to everyone looking for a high quality and customer service flooring store, I assure you will not be disappointed. read more

Drove all the way from Oklahoma to pick up flooring. Was told there was one box that had damage but I had to buy it all since it was closeout. We only needed 5 boxes but was told we had to buy all 15. Got it loaded only to see that nearly every box was damaged! Instead of just selling us the useable boxes they told us we still had to buy it all. Really poor business experience from this company. Picked out carpet and provided room dimensions. Paid for carpet, pad and install. Installer arrived as scheduled but informed me I needed to buy more carpet. Installer and I remeasured and all room measurements and found the provided information was accurate. Installer said this happens all the time and they send extra carpet. I refused to buy the extra carpet since the measurements were accurate. Owner was very rude and confrontational, he took the carpet back and did not refund my entire bill. Said they had a restock fee, trip charge. Get your installation date in writing from them!! We ordered carpet from Ged's In June and were given a choice of days to have it installed. We picked a date, and I recorded the whole conversation on my phone so there would be no questions later. They did not show up on the date we chose, and we were told we had picked the next day. We told them the next day was our anniversary, and we know we did not pick that day. The owner called my husband that night and chewed him out - said they never made that mistake, that we were wrong. We told him we recorded it all and offered to play it. So much for the apology we expected! They did nothing to make it right so we spent our anniversary the next day having carped installed and moving furniture back in. Sorry, but you DID make that mistake, and your customer service is awful! We will not buy there again or recommend them to anyone. The carpet was fine, a good price, and the installers were very professional, but the customer service is the worst we have experienced. read more
