We used Floor Barn to install our porcelain tile floor and for carpet on stairs in a house we recently bought. First off, we didn't buy our tile from them because we found a fantastic deal at Lowe's, but they were willing to install the tile anyways--not every flooring place is willing to do that. Trust me, we shopped around for labor quotes and got told several times that we had to buy the tile from a flooring company or they wouldn't install it. Floor Barn was great and willing to work with us. They didn't have the cheapest quote, but they were local and had great reviews, so we decided to give them a shot. We are so glad we did! Don and the team are all true professionals. Of the four contractors we had working in the house, Floor Barn was the only one that we didn't have a single issue with. Floor barn is a business I would definitely be using again in the near future. They are very professional and also personable. I needed about 1200sq ft of carpet in our house and they were so accommodating. I had a very short timeline and they came through to install within 2 days. I wanted LVC but learned that process takes at least 48 hours. So we looked at what carpet they had available and it was perfect for what we needed and in the time we needed it. Don was quick with the estimate and the carpet installers did everything to perfection. They also hauled off the old carpet so it wasn't sitting in the front yard. I can't remember her name but the lady helping was so sweet, very knowledgeable, and understanding of my 3 boys all over their showroom. We definitely go the value for our price. Let me first share that the upfront process with the Heltzel family was professional and pleasant. The floor installation and final results were not. The installers left our home before the job was completed. They left us with tape and glue on the floors, floor moulding that was haphazardly removed and put back on with the wrong supplies (which required us to repair and paint ourselves) and just an overall unacceptable experience. Upon immediately letting the Heltzels know (including over 20 photos), I was told they would send the installers back to clean up. As you can imagine, I no longer wanted those individuals back in my home. Never was I contacted by the Heltzels for a quality inspection during or after my experience. I was very surprised to receive a final invoice for the full amount (without consideration for the unsatisfatory job performed). We spent hours in clean up, repair and painting before being able to move our furniture back into the rooms. Upon suggesting a credit be given for the amount of labor we had to perform, the Heltzels granted a nominal amount. My advice to anyone that utilizes Floor Barn is to ask questions upfront so that you are aware of what the final product will look like. Hopefully, my experience was just an unusual mishap with poor installers. When I was looking for a flooring company, I obtained two bids. I selected Floor Barn strictly based on the good reviews I had read. They have clearly provided good work to many customers, just not us. read more

We have used The Floor Barn for four different projects: they have removed the tub and shower and installed a walk-in shower in the master bathroom in three different houses, as well as installed new kitchen floors for us. They have done a wonderful a job for us, and made corrections, if needed. In addition, when we were getting quotes for our first shower remodel, theirs was not hundreds, but thousands less than the other quotes we received. We live less than a quarter mile from haltom city which is by Fort Worth. My husband called Floor Barn to schedule a quote. Floor Barn was hesitate to come out because we live to far for their installers. But we live less than 10 minutes from Arlington which is near one of their locations. Floor Barn decided to schedule us in. It took over 2 weeks for someone to come out to measure then once the rep was done he told my husband they would contact him with the final quote. No one contacted us. Then my husband called and they acted like we were to contact them but still set no install date. I took this to the manager and even was arguing with me on what happened instead of saying accepting what we were told and scheduling us in or trying to make us happy. I say unless you live in the cities they have locations in then don't hire this company! read more

From the moment I walked in the store, Team Heltzel blew me away with the quality of the customer service they provided. We decided to remodel our master bathroom along with the flooring in our laundry room. So we did our due diligence in getting many quotes and asking all the questions a homeowner can think of. I must say that The Floor Barn quotes were very itemized to the tee, and were competitive in pricing with the most current shower wall membrane technology (Schluter KERDI). With the Floor Barn, we knew exactly what was being charged and for how much. This made it so much easier for both us and them to see as we made changes throughout the project (thanks for your patience by the way). Some of the other contractors listed the materials and installation details, but simply gave a total price for materials and a total price for labor. Their references spoke highly of their quality of work from the detailed installation to the clean-up upon completion EACH DAY. I can honestly say that James went to great length in getting our selected porcelain tile from one of their manufactures. I especially liked the fact that they have their owner installers and do not contract it out. Items of installation such as an electrician, shower glass, or counter tops, the Floor Barn recommends companies that are just as responsive and trustworthy as their are, and works with them in scheduling their dates.
