I'm always looking to try independent coffee shops, with woman and diverse owned being a plus. This place came up on my TikTok fyp a couple times, so I couldn't wait to try it next time I was in Savannah. Geechee Girl Apothecary did not disappoint. I went twice while there. I tried four different coffee lattes and one tea latte. Sweet potato latte - amazing. The flavors were there, and just a solid latte all around. Beulah Mae - my other favorite.. perfect pound cake flavor, it was like eating a slice while drinking coffee. Geechee Girl - they were out of maca root, so I'm not sure how that affects the flavor, but this was a good hazelnut latte with chocolate notes. Dubai Strawberry (seasonal, I believe) - I did not get the pistachio flavor in this, but if you are looking for a latte that tastes like chocolate covered strawberries, this was very good. The praline tea latte seemed like it had good flavor, but was unfortunately very watered down tasting. Both times I went, I ordered a slice of Ophelia's sweet bread. Sadly, they forgot to put it in the bag on my second visit. It was really tasty, almost like a pound cake, but a little lighter, somewhere between a lemon loaf and vanilla pound cake. Both my daughter and mom ordered the shrimp salad wrap. They said it was very good, something they'd order again. I feel like the wrap was maybe slightly overpriced, at $13. I did not get a picture of it, but it was a bit small, and I don't believe it comes with a side. As I was ordering coffees with the wraps, the barista rung it in as a combo, which made the pricing more economical, at $17 for the wrap and a large latte. I didn't realize at the time, but the combo does come with a choice of chips or fruit.. I wasn't given an option, so they just put a mandarin orange in with the wraps. Chips would have been better haha, but I know for next time. I also got a side of the quinoa salad, not a fan of chickpeas normally, but this salad was delicious as well, and I would definitely get it again. The shop has a beautiful assortment of spices, herbs, teas, and other wellness products. Their handmade soaps smelled AMAZING, and were reasonably priced at 3/$20 (handmade and very clean ingredient list). I bought a few for my mom. I also bought a sample jar of their magnesium butter, can't wait to try it. read more

Recently went to a YELP Elite Event and received a grab bag of delicious goodies from Geechee Girl Apothecary. Let me just say... That Brown Butter Brookie is heavenly! I heated it up and ate it with some Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla ice cream. The Brookie was so soft and chewy. Plus, the ingredients are all things you know without guessing the pronunciation (the same can't be said about the ice cream). The Purple Haze Tea was so light, bright, and refreshing. The Beulah Mae Latte was also amazing!!! I saw they have a Chai Latte and so many other goodies. I will have to give them a visit. Or I may even order through YELP thanks to DoorDash making it easy to get all the yummy things without the risk of judgement. read more

I first got to try Geechee Girl Apothecary during a Yelp event, and wow I was NOT prepared for how good this was. They were offering samples, and the brown butter brookie immediately stole the show. Super rich, chocolatey, a perfect mix between a fudgy brownie and a cookie. It's one of those desserts that makes you pause for a second like "ok wait... this is legit." I also got to try their Buah Me Latte sauce, and it's just as impressive, I love coffee and it is sweet, smooth, and full of flavor. You can tell everything is made with care and creativity. If this was just a sample, I can only imagine how good everything else on the menu is. I'll 100% get more. read more

I'm a fan of the matcha with chai personally. New flavors that are posted to their socials. The food is scrumptious. I love the gluten free berry muffin. The pound cake is delicious too. I was greeted as soon as I walked in--the hospitality was amazing! The whole space smells so good, warm and inviting. They offer a wide variety of products including teas, tinctures, soaps, and both hair and body oils. There's even an in-house menu to enjoy on the spot! I ordered a large Golden Milk Latte and Ophelia's Sweet Bread. The sweet bread is a lighter take on Marissa's Grandmother's classic poundcake--same nostalgic flavor with a fresh twist. The Golden Milk Latte was absolutely perfect--Marissa's special blend of spiced turmeric and ginger, infused with almond or oat milk. It's comforting, flavorful, and nourishing all in one cup. The shop itself has a nice vibe with different canisters of herbs. I loved the homemade body butters and salts. It gave a very herbalist and natural feel. The product prices are reasonable and the staff friendly. I am looking forward to trying other drinks. read more

They have really good coffee, lattes, matcha and baked goods. Loved that they also have non dairy milk and non dairy milk foam and a vegan croissant. They have a wide a of loose leaf teas, herbs and handmade soaps. We stopped in a few times while visiting Savannah. It had been recommended by my daughter and her friends. I've been hearing a lot about this place on social media, and after doing some research, I was super excited about what they have to offer. I recently visited and had a delicious iced coffee drink and a yummy brookie. The place is really nicely set up, and there's plenty of parking available. This place has become somewhere I frequent often when I'm in town! The delicious and creative matcha and coffee flavors, medicinal teas, and delectable pastries at the tea bar are to die for. I love to try their limited time drinks, but both their Classic and Hibiscus-Rose Chais are my favorites. The Berry Danishes and Sweet Bread are spectacular, as well as the gluten-free variants. As for the apothecary aspect, they have the best Eczema line that does wonders for my skin. I also live by their Mommy's Love menstrual tea and tinctures, I have the worst cycles.
