This is a great little brunch spot lunch breakfast quick eats on the island it's tucked away so if you don't know, it's there you could miss it but once you do it's a place you'll keep going back staff is great owners are so kind. This place was super cute! I think this place is better rated for their coffee and beverage menu than their food. My matcha latte was delicious with high quality matcha. I ordered the breakfast scramble with chicken and peppers. What I got was basically an egg omelette with chicken and peppers on top. The chicken tasted like the Dyson pre-cooked chicken you get in the refrigerator section at the store (IYKYK). The grits had no salt to them and the biscuits tasted a tad stale, like they were made yesterday instead of freshly baked. Overall the experience was fine, it just wasn't what I was hoping for based on all the other reviews. The service was very friendly and the place was very clean. Best breakfast on Wilmington island! I ordered the breakfast bowl with spinach, grilled chicken, peppers, onions, and cheddar. It was plated beautifully, and tasted even better. Great healthy option. Loved the wide assortment of hot sauces that were offered as well. To drink I got the matcha latte, tip- add sugar free brown sugar syrup. It makes it so tasty. We were still welcomed greeted and served with good ole Southern Hospitality. The food was really good (hot and freshly prepare). I had breakfast my friend had soup and a sandwich we each tried something different and you could how good it was because we were ALL silent! Food was so satisfying ALL chit chatting ended...did I mention it was 12 of us? The ambience in this establishment is really nice as well. Was asked multiple times what I meant by "lox bagel" and I said, "with all of the capers, onions, tomato" and didn't get any. (7/10) pimento cheese, bacon, and tomato: cheesy sandwich with savor of bacon and freshness of tomato. Nothing particularly special that sets it apart from others. It was really crispy on the outside and came with a side of chips! Latte with honey that I got was water down, unremarkable. Service was terrible. I spent 2.5 hours in this place and wasn't greeted by a waiter until 30 minutes after I sat down, and the place was not busy at the time. It took another 45 minutes to get my check, which I had to ask for. The waitress checked up on us 3 times, and 2 of those times was to drop off two dishes separately. The place is lively and has the vibe of a family diner. Unfortunately, probably wouldn't get coffee here again and save my time and drive downtown for a real coffee shop. read more

Great stop between Tybee and Savannah! My husband and I found this unique coffee shop on Yelp at 8am on a Monday morning (right when they opened), driving back from watching the sunrise at the beach. You can order takeout or dine in with table service. My husband ordered a cappuccino to start and I had a sugar free vanilla oat milk iced latte. We'd order the cappuccino again, but the iced latte was pretty average. I wish I tried one of their other many sugar free options like coconut or chocolate (I was impressed with the list!). To eat, we had the breakfast burrito and deli bagel, both with all the fix-in's - Avocado, egg, bacon are musts in these IMO. My favorite was the breakfast burrito, but you cant go wrong with either. For a sweet treat after, we tried out one of their dreamy cinnamon rolls, made from scratch in house. Holy smokes, I'm still drooling... Staff was super friendly (pun intended) - S/O to Courtney with the cinnamon roll recommendation! They had books and board games handy and looks like they have a stage for live music. The open seating area is set up to be communal style to get to know others there. They serve breakfast all day... The food menu is not huge however they have a drink menu which is pretty Large filled with lots of different coffee options. There are smoothies and teas listed as well. I ordered the French onion soup and house salad. The soup was a bit salty for me but the salad was delicious and very filling. The staff is friendly and helpful even with being slammed to the point the kitchen had to shut down for a bit to catch up on orders. Woah! What a quaint hidden gem right in the heart of Wilmington. The coffee and sandwiches were phenomenal! We tried the iced Golden chai- which was a flavor explosion! My husband had the pimento bacon tomato sandwich, and let me tell you, I thought I had tried a pimento sandwich before, but boy was I wrong, this baby knocked it out of the park 10/10. My sausage egg and cheese biscuit was very tasty as well! If you like spice the sausage definitely has a kick to it! Friendly staff and personable service, making this a family/friendly environment, we took our 3-year old and she had a great time. We will definitely be returning! Maybe tomorrow :) read more

They are a basic cafe with a host of coffee & tea options as well as hot sandwiches. I opted for the Bacon & Cheddar burrito which was excellent. Perfectly cooked and lots of flavor. My partner and I have been coming here over the course of the last couple years and the vibes are everything. Most days they're playing Friends on at least one tv, they have multiple comfortable areas with couches and armchairs to lounge in, the food is lovely, the smoothies just as good. We love using our days off together to do some reading in there from time to time while we eat. Recently though (around the last dozen or so visits) the service has been a bit more lacking. Not colder or anything, but we've been what feels actively avoided while dining in or our to go orders have been left to sit while we're left to guess if it's ours while others get their orders made and called out (with them having placed said orders after us). At first it didn't feel intentional but it has been a few months now and the moment seems to keep happening. If it was something we did at any point, there was no effort of informing us of ill intention, my partner and I both work in service industry and we understand things fall through the cracks, but it's been often enough to us that it feels pointed. read more

Found this place on yelp and went in for take-out. Everyone there was so friendly! They made me feel like I really was a friend. The girl who took our order was extremely sweet and bubbly. She helped us with the menu and suggested some vegan (they had stuff that isn't vegan on their menu so you have to ask and she will give you options) that day they had delicious flavorful vegan "sausage" and we were able to put together a nice bagel sandwich. I also ordered their turkey sandwich with grilled apples. This was my favorite! The apples and turkey flavors complimented one another so well and was the perfect balance. I had my son with me and sadly they didn't have a kids menu so our girl had to suggest more things. We ended up with a grilled cheese :) After we ordered a lady told us that we were welcome to use the coloring/reading/game area. Come check this place out! I was greeted with friendly service and a smile at this locally owned, unassuming coffee shop. The eclectic interior is homey, welcoming and evokes "come in and relax". They have tables for dining, sofas and a small conversation pit, flat screen TV, small library of "take a book, leave a book", a small stage with several instruments and a piano that say live music here. My Chai tea was hot, frothy and hit the spot on this cool day. I did not try their lunch items or bakery goods, but they looked delish! I loved the hometown, caring, local feel at Friendship Coffee. Excellent doesn't even start to describe how amazing this place was! The second you walk in it feels like home! The staff and owners are so sweet! They interacted with me more of a friend than a customer. They made sure my water was always full and made sure my food was good and made sure I was happy, they engaged in conversation and made me feel so welcomed! The food was AMAZING! I stayed at an AirBnB for a couple nights on Whitemarsh island and before I arrived I knew this is where I was going for breakfast and coffee in the morning. We slept in a bit (oops) which worked in our favor because we missed the morning rush and beat the lunch rush. It was still busy but we were able to find a place to sit and enjoy our breakfast. You order at the counter and then they bring it out to the number on your table. I had an iced latte, a breakfast burrito, and I had to try one of those pastries so I snatched up an apple crumble. I also tried the pecan praline drip coffee and ended up bringing home a couple bags of it... soo good. Whether you're staying nearby or anywhere else around town, this place is worth searching out. read more

I came across these reviews this week and realized I had given you a number review but had not written a review to go with the number. I gave Friendship Coffee Co. a 5 in my numerical review but neglected to explain the reasoning behind such a stellar review. So here's my reasoning. First, the ambience was stellar as was the welcoming by an employee. We were seated immediately by a very friendly server. She wasted no time in asking us what we would like to drink. We were not sure what our best choice would be so our server patiently explained the ins and outs of coffee. We both ended up with lattes that were delicious. Next came the choices for breakfast. I was decided already - I had to have the smoked salmon scrambler. Again there are so many choices for this remarkable breakfast. My choices were egg, goat cheese, red onion, spinach, and salmon with fruit on the side. My companion ordered the Scrambler. it comes with smoked salmon, tomatoes, spinach. He added on goat cheese and avocado. Our food and drinks were perfect. If you are not a fan of breakfast, the menu includes items for lunch. The smoked BLT with a dill/aioli sauce i know will be a favorite of mine. Highly recommended in all categories! And the service is unparalleled in Savannah. read more

This was the first time I had ever been in this coffee shop before. I wasn't expecting it to look so cute on the inside by looking at it from the outside. I got really good vibes going in and the staff was very nice. They had a coffee bar, large seating area, and some couches where you can read books or color. They also had a stage where it looks like they might have bands play and I saw a poster for stand-up comedy on August 31st. They had fresh cut flowers on each of the tables which was pretty chill. I decided to try the avocado toast. Whoa. Not what I was expecting, but dang I'm glad I got what I got. It was basically bruschetta and radishes with some avocado on the bottom. Wow. I'm getting goosebumps thinking about it. How often does toast give you goosebumps? Probably never, so you need to check out this toast, man. Never thought I would get really excited about toast, yet here I am. Came to Savannah for a quick trip with my mom. After reading the reviews, we decided to drop in. The space is inviting, spacious yet cozy, comfortable, and clean. The staff are friendly. For breakfast, I had the croissant with eggs, cheddar and spinach. I thought the croissant was small, but hey I am from NY where everything is big. It was just enough and filling. My om had the bisquit, eggs and grits. She said the grits reminded her of her childhood and the bisquit was light and airy. I did not have the latte but the coffee was good. Overall, a good experience and good start to my day. One more thing, we initally drove by it because you do not see it from the road. It's tucked away in a small strip mall. This is a lovely place right off the main road in a plaza. We went for breakfast. We sat outside because our dog was with us. They were very nice and brought him a bowl of water. Our waitress was super attentive to us. The food was excellent! I had avocado toast. It was very tasty. It had radishes sliced very thin on top with some arugula. Drizzled with balsamic glaze, and a touch of goat cheese. The ice coffee is very good. Smooth no bitterness at all to it. Don't drive past this one. read more
