Checked out their website, then gave them a call about cleaning up my Mac before my vacation. I put it off to the last minute and wasn't sure they could help. Luckily, they could help me, and the rush fee was $100. I love that fact they picked up the phone and it wasn't some dead doornail employee who could care less about my computer issue. Chris, the owner, actually answered the phone. He said to bring it down. I came in that same day and he told me they would: clean it up, install new OS, remove junk, and speed it up overall. He quoted me end of the week, but it was ready sooner, so happy about because it would be ready for vacation. Total came out to about $430 with the rush fee. It's been about 6 weeks now and my computer is running amazing, so fast! They also have refurbished Macs for sale, which I'll be back for when my current computer stops working. Super 5 Stars for DC Computers! They care about their business and customers. So glad I found them.

The other shop spent less than 2 minutes looking and didn't care about my opinion or what happened. I took it here for a second opinion and after 5 minutes of looking and hearing what happened he said everything was there and he could save all the files and reload the operating system and then reinstall all the files and nothing would be lost. This sounded too good to be true, but 2 days later my computer is fully functioning with all the programs and files reinstalled. I have to reinstall a couple of my own aftermarket software programs I have the disks for. These guys are awesome and I will be back again. I have used them in the past with great success. The only reason they weren't my first stop originally on this instance was the computer disaster happened on a Saturday and I was looking for an instant fix and Techmate was closed on the weekend. I figured most places would be the same so I tried someone new. I didn't like what I heard and decided to wait till Monday and come to the place I knew I had success with previously. Not all computer repairs are the same. This guy took the time to really listen and look. Techmate is reliable, listens and takes pride in finding and solving problems!

Not what I expected…read more I use to go to this Best Buy all the time when I was stationed here. It had all the electrical items I needed in the past and today was shock day. Something I never believed I would see. They got Legos. And not the cheap sets but sets you would find at an actual toy store. I was impressed. Anyway back to the point, they have a good selection of electronics and still carry some CDs. Overall four stars. It's the typical BB but this one has Legos ;)

Someone will great you and give you a receipt. I never knew they existed until I googled and found this place. In the mist of decluttering, upgrading, downsizing and upsizing. Instead of storing these items and trying to sell them or bring them to a Salvation Army/Goodwill, this be the place. We upgraded the TV so had to donate a very good condition tv that could be of use to another. I have 4 brand new monitors (two for my home office, two I brought into my onsite office because I wanted to match what's at home) and I have 4 monitors laying around ready to donate that were out to good use at home during the pandemic that could go to use to someone else. Why bother trying to sell this when you can just donate it for a good cause and call it a day?!

I got home and 1 box was used all scratched up and instead of 4 stands inside the box someone swapped out a different sign inside. This was frustrating because it meant another trip to the store. They really need to check when people return items and not restock it at full price $29.99. I understand it's not the fault of the people who work there but they really need to check returns. Because this is a waste of time & gas for anyone. My first trip out was great the workers were very helpful and it was a fast check out. The return trip took so long, only 1 cashier and 5 people in line and 4 of them were returns, and it took a lot longer not sure why ‍. The cashier didn't really care why I brought it back but did mark it with a sticker that read damaged sold as is (or something to that effect). So they were clearly putting it back on the shelf.
