Two weeks ago, I accidentally dropped my iphone 16 in the ocean water, and the phone stopped charging afterwards. I called several phone repair shops. Unlike the other repairers whom I spoke with, Mark at the PCS Connection not just gave me an estimate of the repair cost (which was very reasonable); he took the time to talk to me and suggested ways of testing if my phone could be charged using wireless charging and ways of drying the phone thoroughly, which he believed might fix the problem. Following his advice, I was able to dry the phone and the phone's charging function returned. Later, I called Mark again to ask if I should take the phone to his shop to get it cleaned. Disclaimer: I didn't actually use their repair services; however, this review is based on their customer service. I initially reached out for a quote to repair my Galaxy Tablet and, after a few conversations, they were honest enough to tell me they couldn't get the part. The next time I contacted them was for a screen repair for my Galaxy Note 8. Since this work was something I knew they did, I was confident I'd get a quote and then the repair. I was then told the repair would cost a significant amount of money and I'd be better off getting a new phone. This response really impressed me. I had used this company a couple times for cleaning out my phone speaker so I could hear better. Recently, my screen quit functioning in the upper quarter, and I had no way of knowing if that could be repaired. Took it in to these guys and they were able to give me a new screen with it in 20 minutes. I'm not sure how I would've solved that at an Apple Store. If you have any phone needs, definitely go to these guys first. They will shoot straight with you and May well fix the problem for substantially less than some of the other repair places. I've had a problem charging my iPhone for a few months. I tried cleaning the connector myself, but I finally decided I would have to get it repaired, assuming it was a bad connector. The gentleman at the counter cleaned the charge port and cleaned my speaker too. My phone works great now! He was able to give me a fast quote on another repair I was interested but he advised against it due to the cost and advised me that it was only a cosmetic issue. Hung and his business, The PCS Connection, are top notch! I'm glad they made it through the pandemic. I used them maybe 6-7 years ago when I dropped my iPhone 6 (I loved you so much you sweet sweet aluminum framed and rock solid friend). I got my glass replaced twice here on that thing and the speaker replaced. Then I dropped it in the drink in Thailand and that was that. Fast forward to many years later and I've had my iPhone Xs for maybe four years now. No drops. Always used a glass screen protector, until I foolishly broke the screen protector not too long ago while playing with it (they tend to shatter if you lift them to adjust them after you apply them). So no screen protector because I was too lazy to buy one again yet. I head out for a 6am tee time of disc golf at Morley Field, toss my phone in my bag and walk out the door. THUD. wham, right onto the floor face down. May as well have been a piece of buttered toast the way it landed (always butter side down). Certainly no cat like reflexes and landing upright. Shattered to oblivion. I call up PCS to make sure they have a screen, take it 30 minutes after opening and they say they ca have it done within 30 or so. That's fast. Picked up my phone. Mmm he did not fix my phone. Well he did, but that night two other things broke, but Hung was really nice about everything though. I'm giving him four stars because I genuinely believe he'd work with me to get my phone working again for an appropriate price. I just didn't have the time to go back and forth with him to fix everything. Ended up going to the Apple store and getting my phone replaced there. Long story long - I went in for a broken charger port / faulty auxiliary port. Turns out one of the tines in the port fell out, so Hung had to replace the whole port (which he scavenged from another Apple phone). Unfortunately, in the process of replacing my port, something else broke (not sure if he broke it or was broken to begin with in addition to the port). Regardless, he said he'd replace it free of charge because he probably thought he broke it. An hour later, my phone was fixed and I went home happy with the spectacular service. A few hours later, I got a call, but my phone didn't ring. Upon further investigation, I realized my phone ringer (for calls and alarms) and my button's haptic touch were broken. I decided at that point to make an appointment with Apple instead. + Great service + Replacement parts are from other Apple products + 30 day warranty or something like that Bill ended up being 90ish dollars with tax. read more

Update: I dropped my Android ZTE Axon 7 phone on a tile floor and while nothing "broke," the screen showed the infamous "half screen display" issue that many phones of this model have.
