This was a traumatic and deeply unsettling experience. From the beginning, her demeanor was cold, defensive, and impatient. The numbing cream wore off within 15 minutes, and despite having a high pain tolerance (tattoos, piercings, two C-sections), I felt the full pain of the procedure. When I told her, she became defensive and repeatedly compared me to other clients who "can't feel anything" or "fall asleep," implying something was wrong with me for experiencing pain. She refused to apply more numbing cream and I endured every pass of the needle for nearly the entire session. By the end, I was shivering, and she told me to wipe my own lips because she "didn't want to touch them." She also seemed unsure how to mix the correct color. I showed her photos from her own Instagram and she admitted she didn't know how to achieve that shade. Instead of guiding me, she rushed me to choose my own colors based on general guesses. As a professional, I would expect at least some direction or care. After the first and second procedure, she assured me my reds wouldn't be so red. I was going for a natural color and received a deep cherry red color that lasted about a year. Another major issue occurred when it was time to pay. My bank occasionally flags unfamiliar Zelle payments for fraud protection, which I explained immediately. There were plenty of funds, and I told her I could resolve it quickly, but as soon as she saw the temporary decline she became extremely rude, hovering around me, saying "How are you going to pay?" and telling me to hurry because she had another client coming. I was shaking from the pain and felt attacked, but I called my bank, verified the payment, and sent it successfully within about three minutes. She continued making comments throughout, adding unnecessary pressure and making the situation even more uncomfortable. I understand if she has a fear of people not paying or a history of it but you need to learn to manage your fear and treat people with the same respect they give you. During the session, a neighboring business owner came in kindly asking for an extra pair of gloves, and she snapped at her, stopped working on me to deal with it, then came back complaining about the woman. It reinforced the unprofessionalism I was already sensing. After I left, she texted me asking whether I had left a bad review. I'm embarrassed I stayed through the appointment, but I'm writing this to warn others. I endured the pain and completed both sessions and was kind because I felt I needed to be in order to complete the service. If I could go back in time, I would have left during the first session. I learned a big lesson, that I do not have to endure pain or fawn to appease someone else in hopes they will do better or even give someone a second chance (my second session). This wasn't a minor inconvenience; it was being in pain, dismissed, rushed, and treated poorly throughout a vulnerable procedure. I wish I had listened to my gut and left the moment I sensed something felt off. I'm sure there will be a defensive response coming from the owner. So if you're reading this, be clear on how you will allow yourself to be treated (your standards), understand that you can walk away at any moment (the money loss for me would have been better than the experience I had), and proceed with caution. read more

Scammer!!! Stole My Deposit and never completed the service. I regret booking my lip blushing appointment with this artist and feel the need to warn others about my experience. I was told via IG the cost for the procedure would be $600 for the initial neutralization and $250 for the touch-up. I paid a $100 deposit via CashApp, which she split without my knowledge. $50 went toward my first session, leaving a balance of $550 for the neutralization. Upon coming in for my first session, the vibe felt dark, not warm nor welcoming. She has a strict late policy but she was running behind almost 20 minutes to the appt, while I sat in my car in the pouring rain and waited for her. Not once did she apologize or show any respect for my time. The red flags became apparent but I just wanted to complete the two sessions and go about my merry way. I reached out for my second session, but I was informed that the $50 was forfeited because I hadn't returned for the touch-up. I was extremely confused and taken aback because I most definitely returned for my appt but Madeleine claimed that I needed a 2nd session of neutralization because the first one didn't take, she then told me to let her know when I was ready to book again. I said okay and left the appt. She never mentioned anything about a forfeited deposit that day, which seemed like sneaky, unprofessional behavior. I was never made aware of any cancellation or forfeiture policy until AFTER the fact, and I never received any kind of written policy or documentation. She also failed to mention this policy when I initially booked the appointment, and I had no idea there was a website with this info that she didn't refer me to until much later. I also want to address the photos she posted of my lips on her Instagram without my permission. I specifically told her not to post any photos, yet she went ahead and posted a heavily edited image claiming these were the results of my procedure, when in reality the results were far from what was promised or expected. This is a major red flag, especially in the beauty industry, where trust and honesty should be the foundation of any service. During my first session with her, my lips were so swollen, I could barely speak... She rudely says to me "use the wipe to get the pigment out of your teeth or I will do it for you". Her demeanor towards clients is very concerning and I wish I had found the reviews of several other disappointed clients all over the internet, it would have persuaded me to never give this woman my business. Unfortunately, after realizing that I'd been misled both in pricing and treatment expectations, I decided to move on and told her I would no longer continue with her services. I was done with the poor customer service and unprofessional behavior. Please be cautious before booking with this artist. It's clear that she makes up policies as she goes, and communication is poor at best. I had my ombre brows done by Geisha Ink 4/22/22 and my brows looks amazing I went back 6/29/22 for the " perfecting stage" which is highly recommended. Her hands are light and gentle. i had no problem with Madeleine when i used her. So I assumed she would do a great job for my mom who was getting services for the 1st time. we were very clear about the color and the fact we wanted a natural arch. she proceeded to draw on huge brows, no arch, and determined to use a very dark brown ink because she said the brow hair was black (which it wasn't). She did reduce the size of the brow and finally used the lighter ink (with tension and attitude). She refused to give her an arch so the brows are straight across. She removed hair and said that was the arch! On the touch up appointment we asked her to please do something to make the shape appear to have an arch and more flattering. Gave her suggestions that she used to perfect my brows and she refused and insisted on her way or no way. She even stated because my mom was older and face dropped that in her opinion that type of person should not have an arch it would not be flattering! MADELLEINE was wrong wrong wrong. She thinks she can follow 1 shape for all clients. She is more interested in doing cookie cutter brows so she can post unrealistic pictures. After disrespecting my mom like she did, she texted to apologize and said she wanted to make it right (only because she knew i would blast her on social media). Damage was done and my mom didn't feel comfortable with her. She even slammed her door when we saw her skills would not allow her to correct what she previously did. Hey Madeleine owner of Geisha Ink, when you get your color coordination together (or lack of it) then and only then would i be interested in your opinion about my right to request a natural arch and a soft brown brow because i wear my hair blonde and thats what flattering for a more mature lady. For the longest time I've been meaning to do something about my hair. I am in my early 30s and have been in denial about my bald spots. So I did some research on microscalp pigmentation. I reached out to at least 4 tattoo artists and I chose Madeline with Geisha Ink for many reasons. She takes pride of her work and she makes sure her clients are getting what they've paid for and keep them happy. She uses organic and natural pigmentation that matches hairlike shafts that creates a thick hair image on your scalp. Other chemical inks may turn green or blue overtime and for this reason, the ink she uses is not like any other tattoo artists uses. She's probably the only one that uses this ink in LA. She also takes her time to complete the needed areas. The procedure I had done is focus on crown and frontal area. Pretty much top half of my head including temporal areas. It took me 2 sessions to cover all areas. It took at least 4 hours per session. The procedure might feel uncomfortable but her hand is very light and careful. Her salon felt cozy and clean! At one point, I got too comfortable that I fell asleep during the procedure. The transformation is a slow process. She broke down the sessions into 2 to give a natural look on the hair. Also to allow some time for the wounds to heal. I will be seeing her next month for my 3rd session as a touch up to see the full transformation as far as needed for more coverage or adjust the density. She gives detailed after care procedures like dos and donts so you won't ruin your hair and infect the wounds. Again, the procedure is slow but setup to be that way to give it more of a natural transformation. So patience is the key! As a consumer, the price range is pretty competitive but it's guaranteed that you will get the price of what you paid for as long as you follow her directions. read more
