Came in town for my bachelorette trip and saw this restaurant on TikTok. Absolutely loved the atmosphere and the service. So cute, so classy, obsessed! We were going out to broadway after so i didn't want to get something super heavy. I ordered the scallops and they were awesome i would definitely recommend. The Brussel sprouts had such a unique flavor and were good also (i don't know what it was but my food attracted a lot of flies) The portion of those were generous and i couldn't finish them all. My favorite food though might have to be the bread. It was so buttery, soft, flakey it was just amazing. The cheese board we got was very good. Oh and we had an espresso shot for the first time and it's my new fave!

    Charcuterie tray. Everything was yummy.

The food and service were exceptional- best sea bass ever. Fantastic presentation and flavors- black rice and mashed parsnips. Beautiful restaurant. Fun cocktails. Perfect place for charcuterie.

Came in on Sunday for a drink and was pleasantly surprised that they were offering happy hour for a couple hours. Decided to try a few of their half-price appetizers and a couple of signature drinks also half off! Menu is being changed in a week or so. Beautiful restaurant with a great bar area and lovely patio. Free parking lot in back. Service was top notch!

The cutest brunch lunch place and full decked out with garden theme, hot air balloons that look whimsical and just very cute overall. The cocktails are declined and the food was just as tasty! A must visit if you're in the area.

Extremely charming balloon themed restaurant, full bar, and patio with balloon table, in a historic site, but not worth the money. Connor Woodburn is the Executive Chef. The full service was lacking, and we sent back the Crispy Pork Belly because it was so overdone and tough. The bread service is delicious rolls with honey butter. The Salmon was good, but not cooked to order. The Linguine was perfectly done to order, and very tasty, though the shrimp is tiny, it there is a lot of it. The wine list is limited. Parking is very limited behind the restaurant.

The server was amazing for starters! The environment was very relaxed and clean. The drinks were absolutely amazing and the food was fresh and well plated. The bathrooms were also clean so that was a big plus. Parking is limited but I was able to park behind the restaurant. Highly recommend this location!

Had a reservation and was promptly sat on a Saturday morning. They had inside or outside covered patio with fans seating. It was hot so we sat inside. Service was good throughout our dining experience. The whipped feta dish was so good.

Everything was flawless. I love Seafood and the Scallops and Sea Bass were to die for! Our server was prompt and knowledgeable and perfectly described the dishes and pairings. Couldn't have asked for a better time! Will absolutely be back!!

Perfect for bachelorette brunch! Cocktails are girly and fun. I would have ranked it higher, but there weren't a ton of options for me cause of allergies. The waitress came back to the table with a custom menu from the chef that showed what I can eat and what accommodations I would need to make. I got a hamburger without the bun that was good, but nothing special. They went above and beyond for the service though! Everyone was so kind and helpful! I was in Nashville for a girls trip around Christmas. The restaurant went all out in decor! Such great photo opportunities!

Geist is absolutely beautiful inside and the holiday décor put me right in the Christmas spirit. The space itself is stunning, but the experience didn't quite match the setting. It was very expensive, the room felt uncomfortably cold, and even though we made a reservation months in advance, we were seated in a less-than-ideal spot. And, I realize it's minor and insignificant, but the bathroom was cold, bad lighting, and felt like I was in an outhouse. Did not like that part of my visit--HA! I ordered pasta and was pretty underwhelmed, especially for the price. That said, I'd consider going back--but likely just to sit at the bar for a drink and an appetizer to enjoy the atmosphere without committing to a full meal.

The food is good, but the ambiance is even better. This is absolutely a Nashville holiday staple. The Pesto Risotto was delicious but not that memorable. But the House bread stole the show. To be entirely honest I would go back just for the bread.

I went to Geist during the holidays and I'll start by saying the place is absolutely beautiful. The decorations alone make you want to sit and take everything in. Lindsay, the manager, was genuinely helpful when my OpenTable reservation glitched. She fixed it without making it a big deal, which I appreciated. The hostesses were also really sweet and got us seated right away. The service at the table was fine, but our waiter didn't seem very warm. He wasn't rude, just not very friendly, which stood out in a place that looks this inviting. The food was the real letdown. The bread was great, honestly the best part of the meal. The pesto risotto was way too heavy and didn't taste balanced at all. The filet dish didn't feel like actual filet mignon. It was fatty and didn't have the quality you'd expect for the price. At the end of the day, you're paying for the vibe, not the food. The space is gorgeous, but for the cost, I could have gone to Mastro's or Fleming's and had a much better meal. I probably wouldn't go back for dinner, but the atmosphere was nice to experience once.

Great holiday vibes all around. From the moment you walk up to this restaurant you are met with the merriest vibe ever. The service was good and the food was great; such a cutesy experience with the girls. We ordered a cinnamon roll for the table. Shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles, and a cheeseburger. The cinnamon was oozing with flavor and by far the best thing we ate.

The curse of Rumours continues!…read more I don't know that any business can survive this address. My first BW review of the year and it seems to have come as a surprise. Whispers abound as to whether the issue at VG was a rent hike or whether the owner just lost interest. In any event, it's the same sad story at the corner of 12th and Woodland. And that's too bad because VG acquitted itself nicely. On a Friday in mid-spring it was the exact right place I wanted to be to catch up with a friend. That backyard has been the stuff of legends for every iteration for a reason. If you've been here for a while, you know the score: walk in the front, smile, be greeted, ask for a table outside. That's just what we did. But before that we got drinks. Being a wine bar and being happy hour and being a Friday we went all in on the house red sangria. Served in a pleasantly large goblet, this goodie jar of wine and fruit did the job of quenching thirst and spurring conversation. To add to the libations, we settled on a series of bites: whipped feta (with sourdough -- and every bit of decadent as described in other reviews), olive tapenade (a briny, mound of oil, citrus and herbs) and (skinny) fries with parmesan & white truffle oil. Right?? What a perfect way to end the work week and begin the weekend. We had wonderful service from Abby and stayed on premises well into sundown. There was a steady crowd throughout our visit so I don't think a lack of business was the COD. Whatever the reason, it sort of boggles the mind that a wine bar concept can't stick around in a neighborhood and location that seems to crave it. That curse might be real.
