We ordered the 2.6 lb dry aged Florentine steak and gnocchi. The Florentine steak is a must try steak here. It was very juicy, tender, and it was bursting with flavor. The meat was nice and chewy. The steak was gigantic and it is bigger than my head. They first bring out the raw steak and weight it in front of you. The steak is enough to share for three people. The gnocchi was also very delicious. It was cheesy and rich. It was also in a way creamy and the cheese just melted in your mouth. One of the best things I've ever put in my mouth and eaten. The cheesecake is very famous in this restaurant. We tried it and understand why. The cheesecake was super creamy and soft. I had a great time and experience here. Definitely will be back sometime soon hopefully. This is a place I highly recommend to everyone. Come and try it out for yourselves.

He was awesome and had us laughing the entire night. We peppered him with a lot of questions about the menu, he answered everything and also accommodated my father-in-law, who is GF. He had his own GF bread basket and was able to order almost anything on the menu. We ordered a nice bottle of Montepulciano red for the table that was $48. Others had the Hugo spritz. For app I had the anchovies with roasted red pepper, sea salt and oil over grilled crostini, very good. I skipped first course and ordered the ribeye steak for my main course. Bone in, medium rare, sprinkled with sea salt and a side of onion marmalade. The steak was very good and had way less fat than I expected. The waiter suggested a huge steak for the table, but I was the only one ordering steak that night. Maybe next time. Others ordered the fillet and it was cooked perfectly, the angels and demons gnocchi, and the veal scallopini. Everybody was pleased Really cool spot with a very good wine selection, drinks, excellent food and a fun atmosphere that you don't find at many places. Nugo was an A+ server.

Tonight we were all tired and decided to walk a few hundred yards down the hill for dinner. First…read morethings first though -- reservations. Our time was set for 7:30, but we arrived about 15 minutes early and they gladly seated us anyway. Our table was downstairs in the basement area, and let me tell you something... these little Italian restaurants have some of the coolest downstairs dining spaces on the planet. This one may honestly be my favorite I've visited so far. It was cozy, packed full of character, and had that old-world atmosphere that just makes you want to sit back and enjoy the evening. Our waitress was super sweet and incredibly patient with us Americans from the Deep South as we worked through the menu and tried not to butcher the Italian language too badly. Eventually we loaded up our order, but the only thing that really matters is this: I ordered the Filletto di Scottona alla Griglia cooked medium rare... although I'm convinced that's the only way they cook steaks in Italy. That plate hit the table with a small side salad, and after the first bite -- BAM -- this thing was excellent. The steak was fresh, tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. I kept working through it bite by bite and loved every minute of it. Fantastic steak. Excellent atmosphere. Great service. The stars must have been aligned today because somehow I hit two 5-star meals in one day, and this one is definitely one of them. I'll absolutely be back eventually.

We found it on Yelp and it got 4 stars. We give it 5!! First of all the atmosphere is cozy and clean. The servers were EXCELLENT!! The menu was in Italian and we couldn't decide. Our server suggested a wild boar with tagliatelle and a white sauce bolognese with pasta. Both were PHENOMENAL with a delicious red wine!! Price was reasonable. We have been overwhelmed by the number of tourists, of which we are as well, but this place was calm with great food!!! Go here!!

This review is long overdue for our visit back in November of 2024. I was looking up Nduja recipe…read moreand reminded myself this was the place that initiated my love for Nduja sauce. American/Aussie owned bakery brunch spot by the river, such a cute little eatery. We loved our visit and though it's definitely more of a touristy spot, as most customers spoke English, the food was delicious to forgo the tourist trappy vibes. We shared a plate and added some items as we didn't want to get too stuffed on our first day of Florence. We had the Nduja Eggs plate with bacon and avocado added. Nduja is a spicy Calabrian pepper spreadable pork sauce, and oh boy was it so flavorful. If I remembered correctly, Melaleuca spread this sauce on top of a fried bread and eggs. I don't see it on the menu at the moment and it's probably a rotatable dish... but it definitely kicked started my hunt for the sauce. Since this is a spreadable pork, it's not something I could bring back to the US but I was able to find it online back home. The service was amazing and the beverages were delicious. Like many Italian places, the dining room is small and bathroom is a single small room that might require a small wait if they're busy. Didn't get to try their baked goods this last time, but definitely on our list to go back for more when we're back to Florence for a visit.
