Our day ended with a delightful dinner at Pizzeria Ristorante I-Tarocchi. Despite the restaurant being packed, the service was impressively friendly and relatively fast, a testament to their efficient team. With both outside covered seating and ample inside seating, place was busy & happening. We started off with a pleasant house wine, perfectly setting the tone for the meal & we paired it with simple Bruschetta which was fresh and a flavorful start. And for main course got different entrees. Wife got a classic Quattro Stagioni pizza, which was delicious and well-prepared, and i went with their creamy Risotto provola affumicata e zucchine, a rich and savory dish that was truly satisfying, and ordered a side of perfectly cooked potatoes. To call it a night, we indulged in a truly tasty and rich Tiramisu, savoring every bite of it- a perfect end to a wonderful meal. Beyond the excellent food and service, the restaurant itself offered a charming ambiance. I have noticed tarot paintings all over the walls. The table across from me ordered really good looking pasta as well, so I don't think you can go wrong. All the food here was amazing. 1) Ravioli with pear filling and cheese sauce: 10/10, I saw a lot of reviews praising this dish, and I'm so glad I listened! It's a simple and balanced dish. The pear is soft and mildly sweet and wrapped in a little dumpling (fagottini) of pasta. The cheese sauce was delicious. 2) Arugula/radicchio/fennel salad: Amazing blend of ingredients, and super satisfying and tasty without any dressing! Good portion that could serve at 2-3 people. 3) Tiramisu: heavenly! The cream was light and airy, the chocolate and coffee flavor was strong, and the cake was delicious. Kind service. Definitely stop by this place. The people are extremely friendly, the food is good, and they even have their own private label wine! Great experience going there, except when my Fiance lost the new ring I bought for her the day before. The entire restaurant staff dug through the trash, looked high and low for the ring, while she was crying. One server, who is also a city guide, also explained the process of getting a police report and specifically which station to go to. Funnily enough, my Fiance found the ring in her pants when we got back to the hotel. So it was really great to be at a restaurant surrounded by such wonderful human beings. read more

Our favorite restaurant that we dined at in Florence. I had the risotto with zucchini, and my husband had the lasagna. I really enjoyed the risotto, and my husband said the lasagna was the best he has ever had. Pretty big statement for the Lasagna King ;) We also got caprese, vino, and tiramisu. There is outdoor seating but we sat inside, where it got a bit warm once the restaurant filled up, but they turned on the A/C for us. I had a few questions about different items on the menu and our waiter did not speak English, but definitely tried his best. We really appreciated that. We dined a bit early (6:30...such Americans), and when we left around 8 there were several groups waiting to be seated. Definitely a popular place! read more

This place is flexible towards locals and friendly to tourists. The wine was delicious as it usually is in Italy. The portion size are just right, it leaves room for desert. The carbonara is good but not the best around. They are known for their great pizza not their carbonara. The tiramisu deserve was to die for. It was creamy and not over powering in any flavor. My husband and I came upon this place after coming down from the Piazzale Michelangelo. They were not too busy so we were able to get a table outside. We ordered a ham and cheese pizza to share. We asked for some pepper and were brought some peperoncino pepper powder and infused oil. The pizza was good but it was the pepper that made it really good! Service was decent. We decided to eat here again for our last night in Florence since the place we originally wanted to eat at was super packed! The second time we went here, they were pretty busy so we weren't able to get a table outside. They had plenty of seating inside though so we were able to be seated quick. This restaurant was delicious. It was almost about 9 or 10pm when my roommates and I stumbled upon this restaurant upon looking for a decently priced eatery to sit down at upon arriving in Florence. I Tarocchi was super crowded inside but we were able to find a seat. The inside decor was minimal but they had enlarged versions of tarot cards around the room, a nod to its name. We all had different dishes, but we did all share PROSCIUTTO E MELONE which we never had before and it was pure bliss. The salty and sweet combination was amazing and I've been making this at home now every chance I get. For my main dish, I went for their pear stuffed ravioli in cheese sauce (I believe it was made with brie or some other really creamy cheese). This dish was HEAVEN! If you go here definitely go for the ravioli, you will not be disappointed read more

While tourists may be drawn outside to eat along the road, dining inside will give you a unique and enjoyable perspective on Italian cooking. Sat indoors on a May evening with my wife and saw Italians come and go as they greeted Florentine customers, and greeted the cooks, owners and bus boys like family. Hugs were given and smiles shared as it seemed like everyone came to catch up with each other.
