Sorry the meal had been started but you can see how simple but delightful it was.

This was our last meal in Florence and that's a good thing - otherwise we would have comeback here every time and missed out on other places! We had bruschetta and the tomatoes were so flavorful. We had a zuchini, Parmesan and truffle salad that was so simple yet the best thing you've ever had. And our carbonara and veal Milanese were outstanding. Our server was very helpful and was nice enough to finish our experience with some limoncello! Our favorite meal.

    Amarro? I think that's what it's called

Come eat here! Lovely service in an amazing city. The food is amazingly delicious. Alfredo is the owner and he's super nice. Speaks several languages. I noticed lots of locals walk in and he greets them like family. It warms my heart to live that kind of atmosphere and it makes the food taste better, believe it or not it does. This was a romantic dinner for us on a rainy Florence night. Couldn't have picked a better spot. The house wine was a great companion to our meal. The deserts are not too sweet but hit the spot. Please stop for a bite to eat. You'll enjoy it all of it.

Florentine steak with a side of fries and Alfredo.

Don't let the lackluster ambiance fool you. This place is somewhat removed from the tourist traps you can find just west of the Uffizi, located on a less traveled road on the east side of the gallery. We got the steak and Alfredo and it did NOT disappoint. Fairly cheap steak dinner too, I might add. Fries were crispy. Alfredo was so good paired with the steak.

Fettuccine Alfredo- not the American style. This was amazing

We had an amazing dinner here and the prices were right. Alfredo, the owner is just a charming older gentleman and talked to us like we were family. He was probably flirting with us a little bit too, but that's just how it is in Italy. Such a charming little restaurant with excellent food! He also gives you a bottle of his digestive wine at the end to sip on as well. I don't think you can go wrong with whatever you get here.

I HIGHLY recommend this place if you want classic Italian "homemade" food. Nothing fancy, just the exact classic Italian food we are all looking for in Florence. Don't be fooled by the basic appearance of the outside. Once seated, you will not regret it! We ate at a few "fancy" places the last few nights and left feeling unappreciated and underwhelmed. This place almost made me cry it was so good and the pride they showed in their food!

    T Bone steak

This was my favorite restaurant in Florence. T bone steak was medium rare and so delicious. I think it's the best in Florence. Prices are exceptional for what you get. The T-Bone steak for 2 was only 50 euros. Staff was very friendly and offered limoncello shots at the end. Definitely a must visit if you are in Florence.

Just arrived in Florence and we were both starving, but wanted to make sure we were getting some good Italian food. Stopped in Yelp to see what was good near our apartment and found trattoria Alfredo nearby! Casual restaurant for a quick lunch. The place opens during the day, but closes midday before opening for dinner again. We stopped in at 2 and ordered our dishes. I got the pesto dish as the waiter indicated it was freshly made. Wow. That was one of the best pesto I have ever tasted! Makes me really wish we had Italian dishes like this back in the States! The portion was generous and the price was only 10€. Like many other places in Italy, there is a charge for water per person as an FYI. You do not get tap water for free like you do in the United States. We did not receive any bread (which looks like other yelpers suggest that there is a cover charge). Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5

My ribollita - the photo does not do it justice. The flavor of the vegetables is perfectly balanced. Possibly the best ribollita I've had.

What a lovely gem of a restaurant! Very authentic food - it tasted like home-cooking! Everything was so fresh and tasty, and the pricing was great. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Even the tiramisu tasted almost exactly as the one my mom makes. The servers were kind and attentive. It just felt like a slice of home in the middle of Florence.

    Antipasto

Had an amazing dinner here. The service was great and helped translate the menu so we knew all our options. Started with one of the antipasto platters that was great. Got the wild boar pasta which was amazing. The pasta was homemade and the sauce was incredible. The chicken with truffle was also very good. Amazing Osso bucco as well. Overall would recommend going here if you're in Florence!

WARNING: There is a €2 euro cover charge per person for shitty dry bread. We were not aware there was a charge for bread until we got the bill which I think is disingenuous. Despite the bill, the food was amazing. I had a truffle dish that was phenomenal. Probably one of the best pasta dishes I've had in a long time. It was super rich and filling and totally hit the spot. The cover charge for bread however is the only reason I'm not giving this location a 5 star review.

We ordered the 2.6 lb dry aged Florentine steak and gnocchi. The Florentine steak is a must try steak here. It was very juicy, tender, and it was bursting with flavor. The meat was nice and chewy. The steak was gigantic and it is bigger than my head. They first bring out the raw steak and weight it in front of you. The steak is enough to share for three people. The gnocchi was also very delicious. It was cheesy and rich. It was also in a way creamy and the cheese just melted in your mouth. One of the best things I've ever put in my mouth and eaten. The cheesecake is very famous in this restaurant. We tried it and understand why. The cheesecake was super creamy and soft. I had a great time and experience here. Definitely will be back sometime soon hopefully. This is a place I highly recommend to everyone. Come and try it out for yourselves.

He was awesome and had us laughing the entire night. We peppered him with a lot of questions about the menu, he answered everything and also accommodated my father-in-law, who is GF. He had his own GF bread basket and was able to order almost anything on the menu. We ordered a nice bottle of Montepulciano red for the table that was $48. Others had the Hugo spritz. For app I had the anchovies with roasted red pepper, sea salt and oil over grilled crostini, very good. I skipped first course and ordered the ribeye steak for my main course. Bone in, medium rare, sprinkled with sea salt and a side of onion marmalade. The steak was very good and had way less fat than I expected. The waiter suggested a huge steak for the table, but I was the only one ordering steak that night. Maybe next time. Others ordered the fillet and it was cooked perfectly, the angels and demons gnocchi, and the veal scallopini. Everybody was pleased Really cool spot with a very good wine selection, drinks, excellent food and a fun atmosphere that you don't find at many places. Nugo was an A+ server.

It is very cool to see the different meat hanging from the ceiling in addition to the wine bottles and the cool ambience that they created in the small location. There are a handful of seats available and then there's even a back room with a few more tables to accommodate a few more people. The atmosphere alone is worth a visit, but the food is what truly makes it exceptional. We ordered the ravioli, pappardelle with wild boar ragù, the Florentine steak, a mixed salad, affogato, and fresh strawberries with mascarpone cream. To drink, we shared a small carafe of red wine and a Pinot Grigio. Everything was spectacular. The Florentine steak was easily the best--and largest--I have ever had. Perfectly cooked, incredibly flavorful, and remarkably tender, it was the highlight of an already outstanding meal. The pappardelle with boar ragù was rich, hearty, and deeply satisfying, while the ravioli was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. Every dish felt authentic, carefully executed, and memorable. The wine was another pleasant surprise. Both selections were excellent and very reasonably priced, making the meal feel like an even better value. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful. He patiently answered questions, explained the menu, and guided us toward some fantastic choices. Although we thought we were too full for dessert, we're very glad we changed our minds. The affogato was fantastic, and the strawberries with mascarpone cream were absolutely delicious. One of the highlights of the evening was watching our four-year-old happily clutching two spoons and enthusiastically scooping fresh strawberries and mascarpone into his mouth. It was one of those memorable family travel moments that you don't forget. A terrific meal, a unique historic setting, excellent service, and a wonderful atmosphere. This was one of our favorite dining experiences in Florence, and I highly recommend it.
